when we find our person

why do we feel so whole?

weren’t we a full person before their hand touched ours?

before their eyes fell into ours one night?

before their lips grazed over our shoulder when we awake in the morning? 

or are we all slightly fractured until someone comes willing to pick up the pieces? 

love is a mighty thing

love is a cruel thing 

why do we need it? do we need it?

our own love keeps us from falling apart, but someone else’s love keeps us together and growing like a tree 

they dissect us, our good and our bad 

they teach us how to be whole, how to be good to ourselves and each other

a little rambling from me. this is just something I jotted down in my phone. un edited. I would like to share these types of writings more. 

today I have a beautiful set with my favorite model to work with, Jenn June. This set was taken in Navarre, Florida, a sleepy little town outside of Pensacola. Jenn is from there and she was at home for a while, so I went to visit her while she was there. We shot A LOT of new sets and she let me experiment with different concepts and ideas. We had long long long days of shooting, and I really appreciate her sticking with me so much. 

So this is the first set of many, and I hope you love them as much as I do.
