The "date across the globe" montage and narrator recap are actually taken almost one for one from the Invincible comics. In fact: these two stories were Invincible issue #54 and #55 respectively and issue 54 ended exactly at the end of the date before the credits rolled and issue 55 started with Mark and Eve flying into Mark's room and Eve taking off their clothes with her powers as the narrator takes over and moves the issue over to the breakout plot, starting with the recap of how Nolan and Allen ended up in prison. Season 3 in large parts is just the Invincible comics translated panel per panel, line per line from page to screen.

Interesting, from a critical perspective I found the pacing of this episode to be up and down and not really flowing together. Maybe, part of it is because adapting page for page like that doesn’t translate as well to animation in this particular scenario? Still not a bad episode though and I enjoyed it! - Lia

Might just be the pacing of what was adapted. One comic issue roughly translates to 15-20 minutes of screen time. The season 1 finale was pretty much entirely issue 13 and 14 and the season 2 finale was almost entirely issue 33 to 35 of the comics. This episode was pretty much the first time two issues of the comic to be translated into a single episode were also two completely separate stories.

Personally one of my favorite episodes, really shows how despite the stuff Mark has to go through he’s found someone who really understands him and has a positive effect on him, the montage was well deserved imo

Nolan told Mark on Thraxa "We are not allowed to breed with genetically inferior species" so they can breed, just not with bug people. Human like beings seem to be okay for them in general.

If you invert Mark's new suit , its shows the colors of Omni man's suit... similar to like Spider-Man's black suit ... it is supposed to be a new arc for Mark...

lol ryan ottley just confirmed on twitter 7 hours ago that it was not intentional since early comic omni man wore red and blue instead of red and white. the idea is cool though

Lmao yall are lucky because you don't need to wait a year between each season, like we had to haha. Also mark's blue and black suit is meant to be similar to spiderman's black/symbiote suit, a darker tone for the character and an obvious shift in his personality, get ready because mark's life only gets worse, it rarely gets better.
