But then Mirajane’s expression changed.

Her sharp eyes narrowed slightly as she noticed a faint movement beyond the distant hills.

“Wait…” she murmured, her voice suddenly quiet. “Girls… there are more enemies hiding back there.”

Her shoulders sank just a little as exhaustion finally caught up with her. After three relentless nights of battle, even Mirajane’s strength had limits.

She sighed softly.

“I barely have any magic left,” she admitted. “My body feels completely drained…”

Lucy’s bright smile immediately collapsed into an exaggerated pout. Her peace sign dropped as she slumped slightly.

“Me too!” she whined dramatically. “My spirits are totally tapped out! Three nights of fighting? I’m running on pure fumes!”

Erza’s satisfied smirk slowly faded into a serious frown. Yet even now, her proud posture remained unwavering.

She lowered her sword slightly, eyes sharp with resolve.

“We may be exhausted,” she said firmly, “but surrender is not an option.”

For a moment, silence hung between them.

Then Mirajane suddenly smiled again.

A softer smile this time—gentle, mischievous, and just a little dangerous.

She shifted gracefully, letting her long white hair cascade over her shoulders as she struck a subtly seductive pose.

“Well…” she said playfully, her voice lowering to a teasing murmur. “Perhaps the only weapon we have left is… this.”

She tilted her head slightly, her eyes sparkling.

“Let’s soothe them with a little charm. Maybe they’ll forget all about fighting.”

Lucy blinked in surprise.

Then a faint blush crept across her cheeks as she caught on to Mirajane’s idea.

“W-Wait, you mean we’re actually going to try flirting our way out of this?” she asked, half flustered. Still, she quickly straightened up, brushing a strand of hair behind her ear before forcing her brightest smile. “I mean… if it keeps us from another fight, I guess I can try to be a little charming.”

Erza fell silent for a moment, considering the suggestion with complete seriousness.

Then she nodded once.

“If combat is no longer viable,” she said in her usual firm tone, “then we must adapt our strategy.”

“If our opponents can be disarmed without bloodshed,” she continued with solemn determination, “then we will use every advantage available to us.”

Mirajane giggled softly at how intensely Erza had turned the idea into a battle plan.

“Well then,” she said warmly, stepping forward with effortless grace, “let’s see if a little Fairy Tail charm can save the day.”

With tired smiles and just a hint of nervous hope, the three mages moved forward together—hoping their unexpected tactic might succeed where magic and steel had already pushed them to their limits.

The hidden soldiers burst from behind the hills in a crashing wave of steel and cruel laughter. Boots pounded against the ground as they quickly surrounded the three exhausted mages, their leering grins making it painfully clear that the girls’ attempt at charm had only made things worse.

“Well, well…” their commander sneered as he stepped forward, his gaze lingering far too long on Mirajane. “Looks like the famous Fairy Tail beauties are finally out of magic.”

The soldiers laughed among themselves.

“You three were putting on quite a show,” he continued mockingly. “Too bad we’re not the kind who get charmed and politely sent home.”

Mirajane’s warm smile vanished instantly.

She took a small step back, but her legs felt heavy after three relentless nights of battle. Even standing upright took effort now.

“This… wasn’t supposed to happen,” she murmured quietly, a rare hint of unease slipping into her gentle voice.

Lucy’s eyes widened with sudden panic.

“W-Wait!” she blurted, raising her hands defensively. “We were just trying to avoid more fighting!” Her normally bubbly tone cracked with worry as she clutched her celestial keys, knowing full well she didn’t have the strength left to summon even a single spirit. “You can’t be serious!”

Erza’s expression hardened instantly.

Her grip tightened around her sword as her scarlet hair whipped behind her in the wind, fury blazing in her eyes.

“If you lay one finger on us,” she growled with regal intensity, “I swear I will—”

Her threat never finished.

Several soldiers lunged forward at once.

Strong hands seized Erza’s arms from behind before she could swing her blade. At the same moment, others grabbed Lucy and Mirajane, overwhelming them with sheer numbers. After days of battle and with their magic drained, the three mages simply didn’t have the strength left to fight back properly.

In moments, they were restrained.

The same bodies that had stood so proudly moments ago were now held firmly in place, their earlier confidence replaced by helpless exhaustion.

The commander chuckled darkly as he stepped closer to Mirajane, reaching up to tilt her chin slightly with rough fingers.

“You wanted to soothe us with charm?” he said with a cruel smile. “Fine.”

His grin widened.

“We’ll accept that offer… just not on your terms.”

He glanced at his men.

“Strip them.”
