New Star Wars Story MC Poll/Introduction (Patreon)

So, the introductory premise is basically this -

Yoda jolted awake from his meditation. A presence was felt in the force. Not distant, but close. Not one that carried light, but darkness. It was new, however, and subtle. Yet the Force guided him.

He hoped to deliberate on it. Meditate on it. Yet the presence was constant, as if calling out to someone. Anyone. And at that point, Grandmaster Yoda made the decision. He, along with his once-Padawan, now Jedi Master Dooku, traveled to the source.

It took him down, into the underworld of Coruscant. Level after level disappeared, and finally they arrived at level 1313, over three thousand levels below the surface, where crime was the only way of life.

"Close, we are."

Yoda led the way. The scent was intense, of filth, of desperation, of crime, sadness, and darkness. But the presence he felt was distinct. Dark yet pure. He walked towards it, his little steps hasty.

In one of the many poverty-stricken streets on that level, he finally reached a wasteyard.

"Master, are you sure about this? This place is..."

"Feel it too, do you? Calling to me, the Force is."

Yoda ignored his student and walked into the filth. He was close, he knew it. The dark presence was wailing for attention. And before he knew it, he realized he could hear that wail as well, and... it was an actual wail.

"A baby?"

Yoda believed himself to be wise at that age. While not all-knowing, he believed he knew plenty. Yet right now, he found himself clueless at the sight. A little baby, less than a day old, all alone in a heap of filth, covered in reeking sludge, wailing.

"Master, his eyes..."

Yoda saw them as well, hence his confusion. The mark of a Sith. Bright yellow eyes. The baby was touched by the Dark Side. No, he was drowning in it. Yoda's first thought was that this was the result of some dark experiment. That would explain it.

He had sensed Force-sensitive children before. They would often appear as a bright light to him in the distance. Bright because they were often always children, filled with innocence and life. And now, there was a baby, and all he felt was cold, heavy, a dark shadow looming before him.

Yet he also felt the innocence of a true child.

"Troubling, this is. To the temple, take him we must."

At his decision, Dooku moved past him, scrunching his nose. Carefully, the Serennian removed his own cloak and covered the little life in it. The baby was fragile, too fragile, seemingly born moments ago.

"To do such a despicable thing to a child. This is not merely cruelty. It is an abomination."

Yoda, a bit pained by the thought of the child's plight, agreed with his student.

“Evidence of great evil, this is. Find the source, we must.”

"I agree, Grandmaster."

The story follows Arenval, aka Aren. Born with Force Sensitivity, but only attuned to the Dark Side, never able to turn to the light. Raised by the Jedi Order. And then discarded after the 'incident'.

His journey will be one of growth, power, and struggle against his own dark nature. Unwilling to give in to the Dark Side, yet able to harness it whole, and willing to master it. He'll learn, he'll make mistakes, he'll pick his own lane and pave his own road. There will be love, romance, passion, and vice.

He isn't evil. Nor is he good. But for sure, he's one badass mf constantly spreading his name across the galaxy, doing weird things.

This is the story of the rise of Darth... well, Darth 'something'. He's yet to decide his Sith name.

A/N: No time will be spent on MC's childhood. Instead, after the introduction of him being found by Yoda, we'll skip to him at the age of 17. Though we will get a glimpse of his childhood at the temple, as the story goes. Some will be detailed, and others will be faint remarks.

Note - There will be a System, like in the Tyrant fic. It will be related to slavery (Not about making slaves). Through earned S-Coins, he'll be able to buy Sith Force Abilities. There will be more stuff, so I won't spoil it. But it'll be a non-invasive System with minor penalties for failing the quests. Not the type that kills him for failing them.

Also, please suggest a name for this fic. For now, I suggested "Star Wars: Duskbound" and "Star Wars: Shadowbound" because he's tied to the Dark Side. But Ms.Squirtle felt the ick because Shadowbound is too romanticy.

You guys can give me suggestions in the comments. I'll probably pick one or go with Duskbound or Shadowbound.
