Human Nature is my favorite MJ song ever. I was so excited when you got to that part! You have to watch his 1988 Wimbly performance of this to get even more feels!

Lia

where THE FUCK have you been.

k.

You don’t understand the impact thriller had lmao Best selling album of all time, only one of three albums to ever have an album be best selling in back to back years: - thriller ‘82-83 - bad ‘87-88 -21 (adele) ‘11-12 That 14 min movie you watched played in movietheater’s, the album became an household item and was selling a million a week at it’s peak It also changed music video’s, first one to put direction in it. The director john landis had directed a horror movie the year before

k.

There’s a beat it demo on spotify where mj sings the reference for the instrumental, you should check it out

k.

The solo is van Haren, the knock on the door was real hahah Quincy jones produced off the wall, thriller and bad He has also won the most grammy’s ever lmao

k.

Agree about the last song, it doesn’t hit the same fsr

k.

Quincy jones is huge hahah most people above 30 know him, but i don’t think anyone has ever been more famous than mj

Dylan

Im not sure but i believe MJ was the Guy who really revolutionized music videos, instead of just a video of him singing he made short films with a much larger budget that stood out a lot from other artists music videos. Definitely think that had a big impact on making these albums so popular.

James Edwards

The Thriller album was as much of a staple in people's households as couches. Like everybody had a copy of Thriller.

Good reaction. Michael also had some tracks he wanted to add onto this album, but Quincy at the time said no. Just 9 tracks. Mike originally wanted to make this a 2 disk (or cassette at the time) album. There are a few unreleased songs from this album I highly recommend you react to. Got the hots, hot street (the 5+ minute long version is better imo than the anniversary album version), nite line, carousel, starlight (this was what thriller was before they changed it to thriller), sunset driver. Tnks bro

Fun fact, for human nature, one of the writers recently got interviewed on how the song was made. The beat was made when Quincy jones accidently recorded one beat over a premade beat they made on a cassette tape. He played it back anyways and the 2 recorded beats are what we heard on this song after Quincy did a lil polishing. And it was around midnight when Quincy was working on some other productions and Michael was sleeping in the studio. Quincy wanted to go home and told Mike, but Mike said no he can record human nature. He got in the recording booth, turned off the lights as he wanted to be completely in the zone, and recorded the whole human nature song in one take. It took the ppl there by such a shock at the aura that Mike played down and some of em were crying at how beautiful it was
