Every mob in Nine Lives of Yoki has its own unique abilities. The wolf can run and fight in close combat. The blue slime can calculate its jump trajectory, but cannot attack. The snowblue can attack from a distance but cannot jump. As a result, the green slime combines most of these abilities, which is why it turned out to be the most technically challenging.

The green slime itself was created as the last mob on the first level and initially had the most advanced script. That’s why we didn’t make major changes to its behavior this time, but rather improved what was already there, adapting its code to a new, more optimized and refined logic. Along with this, bugs were fixed.

After we rewrote the green slime’s behavior, we were able to implement a long-standing idea to make this mob more interesting. Now, when the green slime hits Yoki with a projectile, there is a chance that Yoki will be affected by a slow effect, as if she were in slime. The debuff will wear off on its own after a while. While this effect is active, Yoki will turn a shade of green, and slime droplets will drip from her.

Hate to bother about this and you've probably been asked several times before but is there a date for an update release?

YJ Project

Yes, that’s a good question, because, as we’ve already mentioned, developing version 0.8.7—with its extensive list of changes—is taking us longer than we anticipated. We’ve encountered a number of challenges. Nevertheless, we hope to release the next full version this month.
