Sneak Peak of the Fringe video! (Patreon)

The intro to the Fringe video is done and I WANT YOUR FEEDBACK! This video is looking like it will be near 5 hours in length upon completion. (No I am not kidding) The intro has ended up being about 18 minutes. Please let me know what you think! And let me know what you think of the overall presentation of the show as well especially.

Haven’t watched fringe, so this is a fresh look into uncharted territory. Your editing is top notch, the energy is solid, and your presentation of the elements of the show and characters within have me genuinely interested in watching your deep dive into this show. I think the biggest thing going here is it’s clear how enthusiastic you are about what you’re presenting, which has me hooked. If this is what I can expect out of the full video then I’m genuinely going to enjoy watching/listening to this.

This is great! I probably will re-watch Fringe because of this. But my one suggestion is, you need to break it up into shorter episodes. Make them into a Playlist. But very few people will watch 5 hours in one sitting. Maybe the intro as episode 1, then each season as a separate episode. Whatever works with your outline.

I'm so happy you decided to make a video on Fringe. It's always been one of my favourite shows ever, and grossly ignored by most people. Speaking of Charlie, I didn't really mind him, bur I didn't adore him either, however I think he deserved better than to be written off the show in the way he was, that particular arc (which is my least favourite) was messy. A maybe forseeable problem might be the duration of the video. It might be hard for some to stay tuned in for so long. I think you should either split the video and/or add some comic relief, or something to cool down from the constant exposition. I think a good example would be Cari can read's series of book explain's videos which last for several hours, but through the usage, of funny edits, and jokes can de much easier to watch. Anyways, your enthusiasm is commendable, and good luck!! :)

Excited for the video's release! I saw you wanted feedback so I'll try to add some constructive thoughts here. I feel like the first 3:30 was a lot and a bit chaotic. Maybe it was just me but it felt like you were jumping around to too many things and was a bit difficult for me to follow. Music was a touch loud and I'd do more than 1 song over the the entire 18 minute length. I feel like changing up the music mixes up the energy, which is engaging. A couple of the Fringe clips show a mouse pointer. I thought it was my mouse so I kept moving it. A bit distracting/jarring but this is just a minor nit-pic. Apologies if this isn't what you were asking for. Feel a little bad saying anything negative as I do think it's a great video overall, this is just where I would see room for improvement :)

Hey Daniel new patreon subscriber here, i’m glad that you are covering Fringe because i fully agree that it’s a show that deserves way more attention especially considering the time it came out and i’m really glad that more people will now approach the show thanks to you. Loved the intro you did, i think it captured the show very well while staying pretty much spoiler free and i can’t wait to see the full video! P.S. In regards to the character of Peter i might be the guy you were talking about that considers him his favourite character XD, i just really love where the show takes him and for me he has always felt like the glue that holds all of the other characters together so while i agree that Anna and John gave much stronger performances (and it’s criminal that they were never recognized) Joshua Jackson’s Peter will always have a special place in my heart, can’t wait to hear more on the show from you!!

I love Fringe such a cool show. In season one it felt a bit like an X-Files ripoff but it became so much more. The last season was a bit rushed but the middle season are some of my favorite sci fi tv ever. I loved your energy and enthusiasm in this video. You made me want to rewatch the show. The green screen was a bit irritating but I assume you will remove that. Also the angle of the mic stand, how it crosses the edge of the green screen was a bit unfortunate and took me out a bit in the beginning. But your narration was so awesome and engaging I almost forgot about it. I’m very much looking forward to the completed video. Though I would probably split it in multiple episodes. It could be an awesome series about an awesome series.

Can’t believe I missed this upload ^_^ And I can’t provide a first impression anymore, I was lucky enough to discover this show when it was airing, agree with others that the first season was finding its feat with a classic “monster of the week” style format but once it opened the door to the real plot it was so cool! Absolutely loved all the main cast in this, even the extended characters that get introduced along the way, they really grow on you like a family and was gutted when it started wrapping up to it’s inevitable conclusion during the final season. Tried getting my partner into this a few times over the years but she could never get to the end of the first season, such a shame as I know she would absolutely love the themes and character development that is explored.
