NU'EST debuted only 6 days before BTOB and groups that debut around the same time tend to become close as they usually have their comebacks scheduled around the same time so they see each other on music and variety shows often. Baekho is also the main vocalist of his group, same as Eunkwang. I think Baekho is close to Minhyuk as well since they work out together, both of them are shredded and have featured on the cover of Men's Health in Korea before. Last week, MNET just wrapped up another boy group survival show which was focused on creating a 4-man group consisting of main vocalists only. Coincidentally, the judges for the show were Baekho, Eunkwang, Solar, Wendy, Kim Jaehwan (Produce 101 Finalist/ Main Vocalist of Wanna One), Lee Seokhoon (member of SG Wannabe; a vocalist group active since 2004, and a musical actor), and the MC for the show was Lee Dahee from Queendom/Road To Kingdom.

I think Moonbyul was surprised by her producer not because she knew him, but because of his background as a producer. The other producers were well established in the industry and well known for their work. Whereas G-Park is not as well established. He was basically explaining that while he was in the media industry he only recently got into producing and was most well known for a song that from the looks of it was a fad. I would think of it the way that America views Psy. Most Americans would only know him from Gangnam Style. But even though its just one song, it was basically a craze, so everyone you talk to has heard of him because it was so popular. I think that's why the were being so cynical with their expectations when they were back stage. I think they were expecting that their work wouldn't hold up next to very experienced producers, and they probably expected anyone who picked their song to back out and try to switch to a producer that they trusted more. That's why he asked if Moonbyul wanted to switch now that she saw who he was. I think Moonbyul was just shocked that the song that grabbed her most was produced by the same person that made that EDM song, so she was wrestling with how worried she should actually be and how much she trusted her own creativity to possibly make up for what G-Park might lack, if anything.
