DBSK is more known as TVXQ, i don't know them well enough to know why they have so many names, I only know they were huge, especially in Japan but seriously huge when it comes to 1st/2nd gen, and that they had a very public dispute with SM that led to a lawsuit about inhuman contracts, a lawsuit that they had to give up because they were out of money to pursue even tho everyone kind of agrees that they would have won otherwise. This led to some members being blacklisted from the industry, (like really blacklisted, their names could not even be mentioned) most famously Jaejoong who THANKFULLY has managed to keep a solo career and it has been so nice seeing him thrive those past few years and still be so respected by his peers, he has a youtube show of inteviewing idols that i'm sure you're gonna stumble upon at some point called Jae friends. So they were an important group with a complicated story but we can thank them for being a big part of the reason idol contracts got a lot better and regulated by law bc they are of the few who exposed how bad it used to be (and paid quite the price for it). This is all info I got from hanging out with a friend that's really into the history of kpop, I tried to only share what i was 90% sure of at least lmao but do correct me if anyone knows best!
