Hope Cornelia tears into her (verbally)

Ivy needs both a reality check and a slap for being spoiled sister in the bad way

Tigers Claw

Looks like it’s Cornelia’s turn to confront Ivy about her attitude and based on that one panel it might not just be Ivy she’s talking to. Frankly, Ivy is lucky she and Cornelia are family and the latter has good control over her emotions, because I guarantee without those two facts whatever she has to say back to Cornelia here could very well be a surefire route to a beatdown. Unfortunately, we have established at this point that it’s not just Ivy who at the very least are questioning Zaphira’s decision to marry Shen. So far, if one were to count the twins as two halves of one person, the approval ratio between the sisters, in terms of what they think of Shen, is currently 50/50. Ruby and Cornelia obviously approve, and Venus, Lavender, Jade, Mercur and Mercury seem to be on the same boat, but the other half either don’t or are still on the fence about him. Ivy obviously doesn’t approve of Shen due to him previously being a slave, with Violet and Emery also having doubts about him for the same reason despite liking him enough, Amber won’t even bother to talk to him due to finding him on the surface to be boring, Neptun doesn’t bother due to feeling that Shen already doesn’t like her and Topaz is just too anxious around people that are still strangers to her to even want to talk to him. That’s six sisters out of twelve/thirteen that either don’t approve or don’t know what to think about Shen for reasons that have varying levels of shallowness, which I’m pretty sure Cornelia is about to call them out on. I would hope she’d be able to convince her sisters to give Shen an actual chance to prove himself, since he is about to become their brother-in-law, but something tells me Ivy is still going to be stubborn on her mindset towards him and Zaphira’s role as the queen. Let’s hope she doesn’t attempt to try something to “prove her point”.

One wonders why Ivy is like this
