Oh it’s a bride’s party

DragonWithaBeard

You can tell they’ll be happy together when they can’t fathom the idea of being separated.

Man of madness

Why do I feel...that SOMEONES gonna take hella advantage out of this?

Mobius Scarf

Here's hoping the party ends with Ivy getting drunk and shacking up with Basa.

Bachelorette party guys. Woop Woop! I hope we get to see Shen's err "Bachelor party"

Sometimes a Badger

Emery and Lavender’s excitement is infectious. Hahaha

Welp, I guess it’s agreed upon that this Farewell to Freedom Party’s going to happen. I still think this has the potential to be a very bad idea but I guess we’ll have to see how this goes to make final judgement on that. Two big problems right out of the gate though. First of all, while being away from Shen for a night will actually be more good for Zaphira than it appears and allow her to properly catch up with her sisters after not seeing them for so long, the problem is that Shen doesn’t have anyone to spend time with while away from her, if he were to have a party of his own. Who’s really going to be up for it? Basa and Zet? The latter may be interested, but the former clearly doesn’t seem to be the partying type, though, then again, I suppose he’ll probably do it anyway out of duty and obligation. I mean, it’s not like Shen can contact his friends, if he had any, from during his days as a slave, especially considering they’ve probably been sold off to different masters by now, anyway, so I guess the two bodyguards will just have to do. As for the second problem, there’s still the matter of Ivy. We don’t know how she is at the moment after her tirade in the royal bath the previous day and chances are, she’ll probably either downright refuse to be a part of this party or, if she attends, could potentially make an bigger mess of things than she already has, especially once alcohol gets involved in the equation, and do or say something that could make her relationship with her family worse and/or indirectly cause drama between Zaphira and Shen, right as final preparations for the wedding is taking place, especially if Ivy’s classism is brought to the forefront again and it winds up finding it’s way towards Shen’s ears through spreading hearsay gossip and word of mouth. Zaphira’s really going to have to tread lightly when it’s comes to dealing with Ivy, if she intends to bring her to this party. Oh, and of course Amber would find this idea to be the most boring sh*t she ever heard so far. 😒 Seriously, does anything even remotely excite this girl? (Side note: There seems to be a couple of minor errors I’ve noticed in the last panel. First off, if you look closely, there’s a slight gap between the black outline on Emery’s neck and her neck rings and secondly, the words in the line, “Shen can’t come with us!”, look a bit too close to each other when they should be spaced out. There also seems to be a slight gap between the line for Lavender’s glasses to her nose in the third-to-last panel. Just figured I point these errors out for you to fix later, if those are errors. Good page otherwise. Keep up the good work.)

Hehe, it'd be amusing if they have male dancers at this bachelorette party >w>

A little separation can be healthy for Zaphira. But knowing how bachelor parties always ends. Well... I guess we are entering the ¨misunderstanding¨ plot.

Doomslayer69

Sounds like shenanigans are on the way

"The wedding necklace"? As a guy who makes Basa look like a starry-eyed optimist, do we have a potential for conflict with a certain star drop amber pendant? Also, "Shen can't come with us!" - called it.

StumpedMoose

No party time for Shen. 😔

Don't like where this is going...
