Yeah, what better way to celebrate your last night of freedom before your marriage than getting yourself f*cked up by way of sharing tobacco and booze with your sisters. Sweet! Seriously though, from what I’ve read, these places, as cozy as they look, have way more health risks than you may think. I won’t say those risks here but you can look them up yourselves and come to your own conclusions from there. Let’s just say for now that there are reasons why some parts of the world would rather these places either use non-tobacco substances for their main attraction or be banned altogether. With that said, this place does look pretty extravagant for what is essentially just a hangout bar. Almost too extravagant. I wonder about that and also Zaphira’s comment about this place looking as magical as a genie’s lamp. I feel like that could be hinting at something about it behind the scenes. I guess we’ll see if there is more to this place than at first glance soon enough. In the meantime, Zaphira may wanna consider keeping away from any tobacco, nicotine and/or alcohol if at all possible, if she is indeed pregnant with Shen’s child, lest she risk damaging the baby and herself. Also, for those of us paying attention to background details, should we really be surprised at this point that Ivy seems to be the only one not impressed with this place? Guess we can add woefully unrealistic expectations and standards to her list of negative traits then.
