"The Birth of Jade"

Zygarde wanted to see the famous Birth of Venus but with Jade, and I thought it would be a super fun idea to recreate a painting with my characters :D

Damn! Welp, there goes my idea of doing this with Luna I guess. 😂 In all seriousness, this sketch came out beautifully. Here we have even more proof that even individuals like Jade, who would be considered obese or overweight in today’s world, still has high potential to be considered a symbol of true beauty, even up against what some would consider the “ideal” female body type. In my opinion, what some consider as ideal in terms of how one looks doesn’t matter as long as you yourself and others like you sees something that would supposedly go against “the norm” and recognizes the value of it and what it has over “the norm”. In fact, the Zodiac Sisters in general is proof that beauty can come in multiple forms, both in terms of their variance of body types and their acceptance and comfort in how they look without a shred of self-doubt or even jealously towards the look of other women’s bodies or each other’s. It takes a lot of self-love and pride to be happy and content with the way you look and Jade has those in spades, which in a way makes this sketch all the more fitting for her. Well done on the sketch, Zummeng.
