Hi guys!

So things started progressing incredibly fast, and to be honest, I'm pretty happy about that. I want to get through this whole thing as fast as I can.

I spent half of today running between doctors, had some blood test and a lot of other stuff, and my surgery already got scheduled for tomorrow. I will have to go to the hospital at dawn, and in theory it will be a very quick surgery, and I will be sleeping the whole time. After that I will have to stay until the evening, but I will be able to spend the night in my own bed, and I'm super happy about that.

The past few days were incredibly stressful, but thanks to my family and thanks to the support I got from you guys, I feel a lot better and a lot calmer than yesterday :) But seriously, I really can't put into words how much your comments and best wishes meant for me! Many of you shared your surgery experiences too, to help me get through the panic, and it really worked! Thank you so much again! I would hug all of you if I could! :D

So anyway, it seems I will get through this whole thing by the end of tomorrow. I will update you as soon as I can, I promise ^^ And I'm sure I will check my Discord when I'm awake and if I have the opportunity :D

And thank you again for your endless support!

I wish you the best of luck. You’ll be fine, and take all the time you need to recover. When I got my appendix out I was in the hospital overnight, but I’d had the foresight to bring my iPad and charging cables with me (even though I wasn’t aware I had appendicitis when I went in). Which was good, because I couldn’t sleep very well, so having entertainment was better than just lying there all the time.

One word of advice. Get a neck cushion. If you end up unable to lie down afterwards, a good neck cushion could save you from hurting your neck

Everything is going to be fine, Zummeng. We're all here for ya!!

Knowing that stress, it definitely feels fantastic to have a support network around you. Wishing you the best for tomorrow, and looking forward to hearing from you soon!

One thing about post-op recovery: often they want to make sure you are urinating (especially if the surgery involves any IV contrast for imaging) - if so, drink LOTS of water. Also, find out if they want to see you on your feet, and if so get up as soon as possible: I had one surgery where they wanted to see me up and walking, but did not communicate that fact to me, and that resulted in me being in recovery longer than needed.

Make sure you rest and fully recover Zummeng

Glad you're getting helped Zummeng! There's lots of good advice in the comments and I know it'll go great for you. :) I know you'll have received an information packet from the hospital and know what to do. You've got this -- and so has the hospital!

Take care of yourself first. Recover, and then when you feel ready, come back to us. Your wellbeing comes before us. Take care.

You’re going to be fine. I’ve had 4 in my life… soon #5 for my shoulder (ripped a tendon). Get well soon!

"Best wishes" is frown upon in my country (superstitious stuff), so we say "In the Wolf's mouth"! Have a hug! ❤️
