If Zaph was more like Ivy, I would expect her to reply with something like "Oh, a gift lovingly given to me by lover and future husband." You know, just to rub salt in that particular wound.

It was a gift, lovingly considered and given. I do feel sorry for Ivy, though. I know she is hell bent on being cold and bitter about most things, but I think that a bitterness like that doesn’t happen randomly. Perhaps she was more like Zaph when she was younger.

I guess it’s not surprising that Ivy would still be a virgin after her telling us that she got attracted to anyone in particular. One has to wonder if giving away her virginity to someone would really allow her to warm up that cold heart of hers a little or not. Of course she just HAD to use her turn to ask Zaphira a question to throw another needless and tasteless insult to her, aiming right where it would hurt the most once again. I would hope Zaphira would stand up for herself and tell Ivy off this time, but I unfortunately doubt that, since we’ve already established at this point that Zaphira is just too soft for her own good sometimes. If Zaphira doesn’t try to defend herself against Ivy’s venom for vocal speech, then I at least hope that the other Zodiac Sisters gang up on her and call her out on her bullsh*t. They can’t all believe Shen to be just another unintelligent mindless slave at heart, nor would they deny the significance of the necklace being his gift to her, even if it isn’t the fanciest jewel there is. So they’d have to have her back in this one, right?
