"Consciousness of Life"

This sketch came together a lot harder than I wanted... X( From the first concept, I went through like three versions until this one. And it took WAY more time than any sketch should... I'm telling all this because looking at it now, I really love it! It feels that all that time and work paid out at the end ^^

Seeing this got me bricked up 19th century style 🥴

This is too cool! 🤩🤩🤩 (Yet also very hot? It's a juicy contradiction)

Great work on this. Could see Cyber Luna using her network to look over any descendants of her warriors after the world has drastically changed over the millennia.

This seems... uncomfortable? Like at some strange philosophical level? Maybe it's just that I am extremely wary of the singularity, yet somehow excited by the possibility? Thank you for the questions. I shall have to ponder this issue.

Woah, neat. Tree of Life spoilers. :P

Her horns turning into power lines goes pretty hard actually!

Luna: Now downloading all the burger recipes.

I guess it's only appropriate that this one came together hard, because it also goes hard! Love the aesthetic! Can't decide how to feel about it though. Definitely uncomfortable, can't escape that, but I guess also sad. The pose and the blank stare is giving me more "consciousness serving the machine" than "machine serving the consciousness". Like if there's anything behind those white dead eyes, it's "Please..."

I adore how spooky and unsettling this is

Erinnert mich ein bischen an "Ghost in the Shell"

This is a quite an exquisite piece you’ve made here, Zummeng. In my head, I imagine this version of Luna to be in an alternate timeline where the world of Tree of Life was a more cyberpunk-esque possibly dystopian future where she is a supercomputer overlooking just about everything in society, maybe as an possible future for the current Tree of Life universe or one where humanity was never wiped out but eventually attempted to make an AI program such as this that would be similar to Luna in image, mannerisms and morals, for the “betterment” of society, obviously not thinking about the consequences of doing that until it’s too late to turn back. A classic case of seeing if we can do something but not thinking about whether or not we should. The Ghost in the Shell influence is very clearly shown here and it definitely works here. This piece as with most of Luna’s pinups once again shows off her beauty well but also gives off a sense of unease with how much more robotic and inhuman she looks, especially with the pipes where her antlers and branches would be connecting her to all the computer systems in the area and the blank and wide look of her eyes not having the usual sense of warmth that they usually have, giving off a sense of looking like Luna but not really being her but rather a much more cold copy of her that has her appearance but lacks her soul and everything else that makes her who she is. (Of course the amount of sideboob and butt coverage we’re getting here is appreciated and helps this piece a lot. 😏) I also do like the continuation of the lake motif from previous Luna pieces as well, to give off a sense of familiarity and comfort in this otherwise somewhat unsettling atmosphere with this creature on display. All in all, a really well done piece here and a very good candidate for the vote winner this month. Great work here, Zummeng.

My head cannon now is that Luna was some AI built by us humans which was tasked with the preservation of humanity, and after we destroyed ourselves it determined the only way to preserve humanity was to gain consciousness and self awareness, then create the world that now exists in this comic.
