2026-09-15 13:00 As someone who had that one manga, "Metamorphosis," the idea of someone going out of their way to save a sex worker from being killed or raped means a lot to her. Especially since she never had a choice in her life.

Awww, they're having a romantic moment now.

Chris, Chris, Chris. I know it's consistent with the character for him to -- despite her *repeated* affirmations to the contrary -- accept that she's genuinely grateful and extremely motivated to show that gratitude, but also Christopher Mathias Krieger von Weltmeer, get over yourself! Even if it meant nothing to you, it means so much to her!

He keeps poking at it, though. I understand the impulse, but at some point he's gotta shut up and keep that dialogue internal.

he definitely has to "buy her out" and take her with him

Yes, and no. First impulse is "yes!" But he's doing major dungeon crawling and she was rescued from street thugs. Big skills gap on combat and defense ( like lvl 1or 2 vs lvl 10-15), even if she is super enthusiastic and adventurous in general. She will watch camp between training while he's on missions? Not like she'd stay there without getting bored while he's exploring and fighting, and you KNOW she'd want to help. I do wonder what the solution will be.
