I think I'm starting seeing Leo's problem. He has talent to fight, can't say no and he really want to fight with evil but his kind of thinking is very problematic. Maybe he wants to fight for innocent but he doesn't really care about them, like they would be for him just an excuse to fight, without giving any emotions to them. Can't say a same about Nigel because he completly doesn't care, but we know what he was going through, and Leo?

Leo: For the dead are dead, tomorrow lies ahead of the living, a hope, but not a promise. Leave those who perished by the wayside, A war of survival has no place for those long passed. Their fight ended and their memories with them have fled this cruel world, at least they hinder us no longer. Chilli: But surely it's not their contribution to the conflict but their individuality that affords them some care in this moment. They gave all they had, should we not respect their courage with at least a place in the earth, side by side? Should we harbor not an inkling of remorse to those who do not seek war but strive for what little peace they can be afforded?

Leo probably shouldn't have picked this fight. But given the urgency of the request, they probably also shouldn't stand by to bury them, either. It is... unfortunate that he's probably the most pragmatic in this instance, even if he frames it in the most heartless way possible.
