24.11.2025 UPDATE: Added support for the sorting hat by HYDRA; Minor issue when a sim doesn't receive any witch house trait has been fixed; Added Simplified Chinese translation link. Thanks, MeowCats! REMOVE OLD VERSION!

01.09.2025 UPDATE: Updated the Russian translation. Thanks, Pumpkin4U!

This is an add-on for the Houses of Witchcraft (originally created by LittleRedSonja). Read first about the main mod HERE.

This add-on allows your spellcasters (children and older) to be sorted into the one of the Houses: Ivybell, Leetlefloof, Alpaggard or Owlenmoon by the Sorting Hat!

You can 'ask to determine the House of Witchcraft' by clicking on the CC hat compatible with this mod. Check the available options in the Required section. Of course, this only works if the spellcaster wasn't sorted by you previously using the Reward Store.

The decision of the hat depends on the sim personality! It also considers traits from the 100 Traits Pack by Chingyu. The sim may or may not like the House they've been sorted into. However, the hat decision is final!

This hat isn't compatible with the mod. Send me a link to this CC and use on of those I've linked in the post

P.S. I can only help if you provide me with the details of any issues you are experiencing. Read THIS before writing a bug report (via the link below, not in the comments section).

I mean, seriously. That's why I linked the Bug Report and included the F.A.Q. section.

Omg this looks fun. Thank you for this! Off topic but I wanted to ask you if you’ve ever heard of the “Spellcasters class” mod. It’s broken and the modder hasn’t updated in forever. Wanted to see if you could also take that one over to update? Idk how this works but just wanted to know. It’s a good mod to have combined with the Magic School Mod.

Whichever hat is in the preview is so cute! I hope there is also a wearable version!

SonozakiSisters

This hat inspired me to make this add-on! It's realy cute However, If I'm not mistaken, there is only a decor version. But MamasHat by DivaDoom has CAS versions too!

SonozakiSisters

U're welcome! I didn't know about this mod so I'll take a look. At this moment I'm playing the Magic School so it may be fun

What does this mean? Will it cause problems or errors in my game? Send via the bug report with description, I can't say anything from that

Hi! I have a quick question...I've been wanting to use this mod again so I was wondering if the spells she had (Like: Electrokinesis ) still work or are included in your update of the mod? Thanks!

SonozakiSisters

I don't quite remember if this spell was included in the original mod. But if it was then just install the updted main mod, it should be there too. I didn't remove anything :)

SmithSims1

yea it's such a cool mod. You can set the lot trait and every 30 min or so there will be a spellcasting class and a npc will actually teleport in to teach it and your sim can learn a spell from whatever school of magic they choose during the class. I used to combine it with my magic school gameplay to get more of a classroom feel added and it was great! but it stopped working maybe eight updates ago. Fingers crossed. I think you'd also enjoy with your magic school gameplay.

Fun! Totally looking forward to it!
