20.04.2026 Minor Update: Fixed a couple of strings in the Russian translation. Added the French translation link (Thanks, Hope!). The mod is now version 1.0.3

18.04.2026 UPDATE: Fixes for the Adoption and the Unknown parents game bugs the new cheat 'Remove Adoption Relationship'! Read the details in the description post.

Remove the old version, then unzip the downloaded archive into a folder with no more than one subfolder.

So i upgraded to try this cause it's been killing me seeing all my family trees with one parent and the other as "stepparent," because now most of these kids are for some reason "secret children." Anyways, i used your new mod on my sims, and it did correct it so it said they were mother and father, etc... however, when you look at it from the parent's family tree, it classified the kids as "adopted." Is this occurring for you as well, or may this be due to another mod I have?

No, the mod forces the family tree update too. All this annoying thing about secret children is another bug, within the family service itself. If you're on the 1.121, consider updating to 1.122. As I can tell, they fixed this issue. Even though, it's possible you'll have to restore the parent relationship (like with this mod) anyway. I'm still so frustrated about whole genealogy rework, that causes so many problems

Hey so I have this mod downloaded and it USED to work, but after downloading snowy retreat, pets and dogs, discovering university, and the grunge kit (I'm not sure which is causing problems, and I didn't install any other mods since, though maybe a piece of cc is causing it?), it's suddenly not showing up at all when I shift + click (after turning on testing cheats). I even tried deleting and redownloading the mod and still nothing

Hi, EPs can't hide the mod interactions. You either have an outdated Lot51 Core Library or this exact Sim is not eligible for the cheat usage, or you moved the mod too deep (it must be no deeper than one subfolder)

It's probably the fist one, since I have it directly in the mods folder, and that exact sim was the parent of that exact other sim through your mod beforehand.. I'll go check if Lot51 got an update and report back!

Update (edited): haha sorry I was checking in the wrong place. Still annoying that it undid what the mod changed, but I'm gonna see if I can fix it
