I've put together a video discussing the recent removal of my 2008 cartoon "Ferrets." You can watch it here:

Ferrets is still available via the "FilmCow High Quality Downloads" folder, which you can find in the pinned comment. I've also added a new "Music" section to the folder, with MP3 and lossless FLAC versions of the song from Ferrets, as well as songs from various other FilmCow projects. Most of these downloads have been available before, but now they're in one easy to find place. I'll be adding more music to the folder in the coming days.

Thank you again for supporting my work. It's disappointing I wasn't able to get the video restored, but thankfully YouTube's moderation decisions are not the final word on what people can watch.

Joined after watching this, If they took Ferrets down, who knows what other videos might get pulled by the AI for whatever dumb reason, hopefully not though. Always have been one of my favorite creators, hate to see them erasing your work/history like that.

Have you considered Nebula? It seems like a lot of creators are pushing it as a YouTube alternative. It would be nice to break up that YT monopoly a bit.

I remember watching this video as a teenager, so seeing it get taken down several years ago later is WILD, especially considering the carnage that youtube lets run rampant in any comment section xD

I've loved the ferret song ever since and have it on the USB-Stick in my car. I think it's great. But when it was recently randomly played and the line about the well documented violent event came up, I actually felt a little uneasy thinking about how people are instantly offended and tend not to see below the surface these days. But I came to the conclusion that ferrets does what it does perfectly and subtly as it had in 2008. Thank you Jason for your work. I am not very much into your recent stuff, but all earlier videos still hold a special place in my life.

As an australian currently dealing with thought crime laws being brought into effect in my country, make no mistake, this is very much on purpose and not just AI oversight. Mega corporations with their financial interests in Israel want to criminalize anyone for making any statement that could possibly be deemed as 'unfriendly' to the financial interests of Israel, even if you only need to view the context around that statement to figure out that you are pro Jewish and anti-nazi. "Genocide is bad" is an advertiser unfriendly statement now. I love the future™

reminds me of newgrounds after 9/11 happened. that site went crazy with the anti -muslim stuff and pretty much all of it was allowed for months maybe years. then it all eventually was purged off the site. censorship will never die. artists will always be censured it doesn’t matter if america or wherever. it’s sad.
