Often with a new character I'll try out multiple voices before finding the one that fits. Here is a recording I made of Oboe (from the latest Shadowstone episode) with a different voice. I decided not to go with this one because it didn't quite fit, and was too similar to Darius.

Definitely prefer the more entitled tone of voice you finally settled on. But this one is fun too.

Do you record both voices in the same take? I can't tell if Oboe's interruption actually overlaps Lark's voice.

Jack Dawson

Given the lines, the one you settled on was absolutely the best choice!

Deacon St. John

Good call. This alternate definitely sounds like another skull pervert and that's the last thing the park needs.

Modstin

definitely too close to darius, you made the right choice. I like getting this behind the scenes content tho

Ernesto Monasterio

I agree the voice you settled on is way better for Oboe. If someone deserves the ELEGANT JASON VOICE, that’s them for sure.

Joanie Rich

The line "The whole park will know of the crimes against my Binky!" made me laugh way harder than it should. <3 Agreed that the chosen voice gives a more distinct performance.
