Once upon a time in a magical kingdom, that the author just made up lived a subpar king and his third queen. The first two marriages had ended rather abruptly on account of those wives turning into a statue and falling down an elevator shaft respectively.
But that's another story for the murder investigations to sort out. More importantly, it was mid-December with Christmas fast approaching. This lovely pair of monarchy loved by all, except their sixteen cats, had an equally lovely daughter in need of their frustration and strife. For not only did they take great pains in trying to make sure the kingdoms would eat well on it's most important of holidays, but their precious jewel of an heir needed special attention too. For her eighteenth birthday also fell upon Christmas.
At least that was what the traveling circus they adopted her from said. And they were not about to waste money buying her gifts on two days of the year. There was enough worry about polishing up this rough diamond into a proper royalty without spoiling her.
"HOLY HELL! This tea is roasting hot. Who the flying fluffernutters told you, dunderheads, it was okay to serve me a kettle still boiling!?"
Well, more spoiled than she already was...
For someone who had such a lanky frame, Princess Eala's wrath was still much feared by her servants. With barely a flick of the wrist, her china cup was sent sailing across the privet sitting room. It's journey only came to a tragic end when it hit the far wall several meters away. Just within reach for some of the flavored brew within to splash across the robes of Daniel, her caretaker. Not enough to actually burned the alchemist, merely staining the lower portions of his freshly washed robes.
Unlike the maids cowering with their serving trays held up as shields, the young man stood rigid with a dismal gaze cast towards the stone ceiling of their castle.
"Two hours brewing that tea down to the exact pedals," he muttered behind grit teeth. "Should have just given you a beer so my research could go towards clearing those moles on your big feet."
"What was that, Danny boy?" Eala had opened her mouth to berate her pair of handmaiden's further but decided the self-proclaimed 'genius' in charge of her well being better deserving of a venomous smile. "Something about how my father hired the worlds dumbest wizard to create second-rate crap on an hourly basis?"
"Good one, your grace." Daniel met her smirk with a smile of his own. This was reasonable behavior for one who has served the needs of many irate customers for years. People have always had a tendency to act like far worse animals for the most minor of mistakes, real or made up. He just never expressed such trivia for fear Eala would see it as a standard to strive for. "However I must insist that I am an alchemist. We are much different from wizards in our art of science. However, I will see to it a more refined tea is brewed immediately."
"Actually, an ale sounds great since it's almost noon." Eala fell back in her chair trying to partake in the book she had been reading. Many still found it a miracle someone with her unique upbringing held a capacity for written language. "Try not to get too artsy and add a bunch of yeast to it. I don't want it smelling like your filthy laundry."
Daniel said nothing as he surveyed the tea stains of his robes. They were a pure silk garment gifted by the queen for tonight's plans. Wealth very likely exceeding his own life reduced to making him straight out of the gutter in one gesture.
"A meat pie sounds good also," Eala cared naught for the clothes nor her guardian wearing them. Such honored attention had gone towards the maids looking like Eala's breath would hurt them without their tray shield. "See if the cooks have any chickens lined up!"
"B-but m'lady..." One of the maids had actually found her voice, albeit could barely hold it between words. "His majesty insisted you..er...refrain from excessive snacking b-before today's meal with the dukes. It...it's insulting to refuse a meal in front of his guests."
"Like hell, it won't matter if I stuff my face now or in front of some pompous rich people. They're just going to spend hours tooting around about what rich jerk off's they are."
"Say's the princess on her satin chair..."
"Fudge you, Danny! This thing is lumpy as all hell on my poor butt." Before Daniel could comment further, another cup of hot tea shattered at his feet, staining his freshly polished boots. "And I dare you to make a snarky comment about that. It might determine if you spend the rest of the week hanging upside down in a dungeon."
Daniel sighed heavy while shaking broken china off his boot tips. The heated water was already peeling off their expensive coat of polish. "Your mother will be sad you're breaking your late grandmother's good tea set."
"Oh my god, I can't even take a break in this castle without everyone getting so uptight. Dad's pilling on way more work than that circus ring ever whipped into me."
"M'lady, the only strenuous thing you've done so far today was fart in your efforts to climb out of bed."
The maids would have laughed if not for the volcanic red color washing over Eala’s face. She stared down Daniel so fierce even the alchemist faltered slightly out of his usually neutral exterior. That seemed victory enough for Eala, who let out a deep breath to become collected once more.
“I’ll be taking my pie and beer in my chambers then. If anyone has the guts to come calling for me, please advise them I’ll be practicing my crossbow aim.”
With that Eala hefted up the hem of her dress to exit the room. Echoes of her heels thunderous stomps lingered over the royal staff for some time till a door slammed somewhere down the stone corridor.
"I'm totally going to be flogged for this," wailed the younger maid, Tila. The serving tray she held clattered to the floor so she could properly cup her face with both hands.
"You won't be flogged, dear." The older maid, Moira, hugged her assistant's shoulders, silently praying they got flogged. There was still some harbored resentment for how Tila got out of most of the Thanksgiving Day chores a few weeks prior. "Give her until new years. There's no way the king will keep a street rat that vulgar as his heir."
"The king is crazy, and you both know it." Daniel's outcry froze both maids in their tracks. Mirrored looks of horror implied their expectancy to see him struck down by a bolt of lightning for such heresy. When that did not happen Daniel still lowered his voice just in case another ear happened to be in the princess's wing. "His ineptitude at producing a child has already doomed the kingdom. Even if she somehow turns into a semi-competent leader by Christmas, whoever she eventually marries may prove to be far worse than spoiled."
The maids shuddered at the thought. Their king had expressed a rush for his chance to retire for a more isolated lifestyle. It was just no one expected him to base leadership skills based on some traveling animal show.
Moira's brow furrowed at noticing a rare smug grin on Daniel's face. "I suppose you got a better solution to the kingdom's problems."
"Well, I wouldn't say better, but definitely more practical." The old caretaker produced a vial of green liquid from within his robes. It's eerie glow more than enough to make the maids noticeably recoil. "Do either of you poor unappreciated babysitters wish to volunteer in remaking history?"
***
"About time!" Eala bellowed after a knocking came upon her chamber door. "Get your lazy butt in here, I'm starving."
Tila wasted no time forcing the door open while desperately trying to balance the tray of meat pie in one dainty hand. The sight of her princess not brandishing an actual crossbow brought little relief. For receiving her graces ire stare still brought its own world of troubles. Thankfully nothing more than a furrowing brow was delivered to the young maid when Eala stormed across the room to rip the tray out of her shaking fingers.
"What took so long this time?" Eala set it down on her tea table by the window. When Tila tried to answer she merely raised a finger to demand pause while she took a big swig of the mug filled with beer delivered with her meal. After a resounding burp, the princess added, "I said I wanted a pie an hour ago. You're damn lucky this beer is decent."
"W-well, Sir Daniel took extra care in how it was prepared." Tila winced at such a sight of such boorish manners now sadly commonplace in an area of royalty. Luckily her trash excuse for a princess was too busy tearing into her pie to notice how intently their servant was staring at it. "All of us wanted to make sure you had a meal befitting your stature."
"How nice of you all to actually do your jobs for a change." Eala spat out bits of pie with each garbled word. It was rather amusing to see Tila get so uptight over a stupid snack. Although it was hard to keep her fork down long enough to talk. "But I must thank you, guys. This is a very tasty pie indeed. What kind of meat is this? Chicken?"
"Goose, I think." Tila barely heard the question. Heck, she could barely hold back her glee at seeing Eala's beautiful red hair starting to bunch itself up into clumps. Many of which were bleching into a pure white as they bristled into the first makings of feathers.
"Well, I-hurrk!!" A strange pressure locked up Eala's jaw for a second, making her teeth feel a bit strange in an attempt to finish chewing her food. When that failed she snatched up the mug to wash down the remaining lump of food down her throat. It took a minute of coughing, which Eala felt too much pain in her esophagus to notice the squawking sound such reflexes were making. "I-I must say I've n-never had goose before but it-HONK!"
That last bit had actually meant to come out as another well-orchestrated belch for Tila's services. Instead, Eala dropped her mug in stupified horror at the animalistic trumpet noise reverberating from her neck. Panic quickly set in when she felt along her neck to find many tiny feathers growing out the pores of her itching skin. Harsh cramps brought attention up to Eala's face itself. She could feel her once delicate nose melting into her upper lip, which was becoming grossly pointed outwards into the beginnings of a bill.
"What the flying HONK did you idiots put in my pie!?"
Tila was in no state to answer. She had since hit her head on a chair toppling over in the throes of laughter. Somehow without the mild head trauma, her princesses increasing bird noises would have made it hard to stay coherent anyway.
"Waak!” Eala leaped to her feet in an angry squawk. Trying to walk to the door only brought attention to how tenting her dress felt. Everything was having trouble moving right. Arms refused to flail more than straight out from her sides. “G-Guards! Gua-HONK GUARDS! Woonk!"
About two steps later Eala's took a rough tumble across the floor struggling in a very undignified manner even for her. Legs joined the list of things increasingly wrong about her situation. She managed to look back just in time to see her shoes fall off feet that were no longer human. Only three toes remained connected together in a very thick black membrane. But then they soon vanished under the hem of her dress like much of Eala's dwindling body.
A clank signaled the chambers door opening. Eala whipped her head around with surprising ease to give her potential savior a pleading bird trumpet. It no longer bothered the princess how Tila rolled across the floor laughing at her plight. That woman would soon be struggling on a noose for this...feathery...indignation.
"Whatever seems to be the trouble, princess?" Daniel looked down at Eala unable to blame her traitorous servant for such expressive amusement.
He had to fall back on years of emotional training not to crack a chuckle watching such a worthless brat rapidly being blankets inside her own dress. Gone were any signs of a budding young woman's figure. Breasts nothing more than ruffs of thick snowy feathers. And the way Eala's head whipped about in a panic on her ever-lengthening neck almost prompted a call for a snake charmer. Especially when the last bits of hair fell off a head that was squishing to be more streamlined with Eala's developing bill.
"What the HOONK-ing WAAN you think, jerkface!!" Eala pointed at Tila only to let out a shriek. The once elegant digit jerked back against her will to become fused with its four sisters. A thick lump formed out of her hand that stretched out into a long point that sprouted a thick bushel of large flight feathers. The process repeated itself to Eala's other arm, causing her to flop helplessly on her back with only bird wings for support. "That Bi-WAAN HONK poisoned WANK! G-get m-WAN an antidote nowWAN!"
"Well, this is just a bit pathetic for you, princess." Daniel waited for another figure to enter before slamming the door shut, setting its bolt. "If only your wits were as sharp as your tongue."
"HONK!?" Eala was too flabbergasted by the arrival of...herself to notice her complete loss of vocal communication.
Indeed the woman beside Daniel was the spitting image of Eala's former beauty. Well, if one were forgiving the ugly burlap sack, awful hair tangles, and looking muddy as a sow. Might as well been trying to pass off as a common servant.
...oh, those conniving sons of- "HOONK!!"
"I think she's starting to figure it out," Eala's doppelganger said in a perfect imitation of her usual condescending tone. "Pretty unusual logic skills for such a bird brain."
Tila finally found her footing, but still could not help giggling at the sight of a regular swan struggling to get out through the neckline of a silken dress. "You can say that again, Moira. But I thought you were going to make her a duck."
"I just used the heart our butcher gave us for the potion," Daniel said with a shrug. "Guess that makes him a liar, which hardly matters. Our dear princess finally gets to experience the genius that is my alchemy first hand."
"Sure isn't making her shut that yapping mouth of hers any!" Moira clamped down on her much younger ears. Once the swan that Eala had become finally worked free of her former dress, she had begun a symphony of angry trumpeting echoing far across the stone walls.
"Indeed!" Even Daniel flinched from the shrill squawks slicing his eardrums apart. It was only when he hurled a nearby vase that rocked the swan across the floor that Eala finally fell silent. He lacked the physical strength to actually hurt such a huge bird, sadly, but it stunned her long enough for some welcomed silence.
"I'll make this simple for even your vast intellect to understand, PRINCESS Eala," Daniel said upon collecting his wits. He could not help emphasizing Eala's formal title with heavy ironic venom in his dull tone. "You've mocked me plenty over my delicate art of alchemy. Well, how does it feel to become a swan? Not only were you unable to taste the potion virtually making up the gravy of your pie, but I bet you hardly felt an ounce of discomfort as your entire humanity reshaped into something befitting a clucking brat like you."
"Geese don't cluck, Danny."
"Shut up, Tila! I'm trying to gloat my genius here."
Eala, meanwhile, had recovered from her sudden projectile attack and had rolled back onto webbed feet. Despite the attack ever, word from Daniel burned into her brain with a mounting fury. This could only be properly expressed in her current state with an undignified shake of her fat tailfeathers and a soft honking.
"Yes. I know you're trying to order us to change you back even now. Like I'd honestly ever want to do that. You would have us executed before your ass molted all its plumes."
That was a totally unjustified assumption about Eala's level of maturity as a princess. At worst they would experience true discomfort being forced to drink any and every 'potion' on Daniel's person OR be executed on the spot.
"So if you can accomplish the impossible and keep that beak of yours shut we can have you dumped onto my personal garden for a very short life of luxury with the other animals. Make another damn cream fest, though, and we might be serving you to the dukes visiting as dinner."
Eala's beak snapped shut, becoming too scared to twitch a feather. Maybe it was not too late to bribe them with a mountain of gold and a villa somewhere far away from here to get some fingers again.
"Wow, Danny, you performed a Christmas miracle!" Tila said through another fit of giggles. She crouched down to try petting Eala, but her other conspirators found amusement when a hard snap had her recoiling. A large fresh welt being nursed on her hand. "You spoiled little bird! I should..."
"Run and get the cage, Tila." Moira had surprised Eala by suddenly starting to shed off the dirty burlap rags that made up her servant's dress. "I need to get cleaned up and presentable before any real guards come around."
"Oh, like you can order me around like a real princess too?"
Daniel raised an eyebrow. "Then perhaps transforming you into one of the king's dogs would teach his servants some obedience?"
That got Tila fleeing from the room remarkably fast. Eala would have almost felt sorry for such threats, were her world already not in a confusing spiral. Moira rushed to wash out the thickest grim from her skin and dress in the same gown Eala had just crawled out of, while Eala herself was still lost in the concept of moving her new swan wings.
It seemed like no time at all when Tila returned with a carrying cage for small pets. Eala was ushered in without further protest, mind a whirlwind of denial and despair. At least her long neck allowed Eala to hide from the world tucked under one wing. If only swan anatomy also allowed her to cry. This could not be happening. Not to someone days away from reaching the top.
"Alright, this should make a good home for former royalty!"
Eala's whole world rocked with the hard dropping of her cage on solid ground. There was little time to collect some thoughts before the door was swung open. Not wanting to wait for her to waddle out, the jerk handling her prison promptly tilted it with a hard shake. Eala gave out a startled trumpet as she flapped wings in a helpless tumble across wet mud and grass.
"Must you be so rough?" Daniel said flatly staring down at the swan he made flailing to find it's footing again.
"Like she deserves a bit of remorse." Tila tossed the empty cage away, uncaring as it splintered across a patch of muddy rocks. "My skin still hurts from the soup she tossed on me the other day."
"Be that as it may, this is probably the last human contact she'll ever have. At least until hunters might pass by in the spring."
Eala shook her wings a few times which did little to get the mud off her feathers. A fairly coherent mind allowed her to survey this desolate place that would serve as her home. Tila had so roughly deposited her along the muddy banks of what appeared to be a lake clearing. Nothing but a wall of trees encompassed the swan's prison in all directions. Even with winter leaving most vegetation dead or buried in patches of snow Eala had trouble finding north from south. About the only thing of interest was the crumbling walls of long abandoned buildings on the far side of the lake.
“Enjoying the view, princess?” Daniel's voice rocked some wits back into Eala. She just wished her face had any capacity to express her utter loathing of the man. Instead, he simply chuckled at the blank-faced swan dripping in wet muck while waving a hand across the lakes half frozen surface. “I had once thought to rebuild these villas as a summer home. But I guess now if things go this way your former bed chambers might serve more luxurious.”
Eala gave an angry honk that caused both her traitors to share gleeful looks.
“Kind of pointless to insult us now, Eala.” Tila gave a sharp kick that splattered more mud across the swan's snowy feathers. “Although that was because I’m sure you said something rather rude to us just now.”
“That will do, Tila. We should get back before Moira does something to embarrass Eala’s reputation further.”
Tila looked ready to protest but only gave a sharp grunting noise. Daniel and Eala watched fairly disinterested at the young woman hiking up her stained burlap in a rather angry trudging through the thick muck. Before joining her departure, Daniel whipped back to give Eala a fully mocked bow.
“Farewell, your highness. May you enjoy what remains of your very short life as the lady of this...homely lake.”
Many angry honks echoed across the treetops following Daniels departure. Eala had half a mind to follow him, but through the anger and despair, some threads of logic rooted her webbed feet in place. First would definitely have been the bow and quiver of arrows strung across Daniels back presented to her. Clearly the man's subtle hint at what sort of action would be taken if she tried to become a threat.
The second thing that occurred to Eala was just how little a threat she could be to this ridiculously effective regicide. She was a swan now; completely isolated in the woods with no way of communicating with anyone that could help her. And that list was remarkably short after her four-month rampage as heir to the throne. Odds were better that servants discovering a major source of their misery had become an average fat bird would likely get her laughed at.
Or eaten…
Either way, Eala eventually ceased her angry honking long after Daniel had disappeared from sight. By then her throat was burning raw while the stomach connected to it began to protest at being very empty. It might have occurred to her that getting angry at everything might not be the most helpful approach.
It took almost a full hour before Eala worked up the courage to begin exploring her new lake. Without the embarrassment of an audience, she began taking a crash course in discovering the ancient art of flying.
And the not-so-amazing art of belly sliding across the mud. If anything Eala was just grateful the weather had been unseasonably warmer than past years. Trying to waddle and fly over ice might have ended up killing her sooner than hunters. Although, her short practice flights across the lake did little to help her find many sources of nourishment. The housing ruins, while providing a few dry places to rest, only offers small growths of fungus.
And those were soon vomited over the broken window sills. At least it gave her a nice view of the sun starting to set below the treeline.
QUACK! QUACK!
A different kind of honking rapidly filled the clearing, sending Eala into a panic. It was only then she remembered this was a forest. That meant all kinds of filthy beasts roamed around, especially towards sources of water like a lake. Predators were no doubt closing in on her now for the night's feast.
Eala would have laughed when the flock of ducks settled upon the lake if she could. Still, she observed them from the relative safety of her ruins. They swam about in their natural buoyancy occasionally honking at each other while taking their heads for a deep dive below the waters. Eala’s eyes shot open wide seeing how they soon resurfaced to chomp down on freshly caught minnows and water lilies.
Quite a predicament, being grossed out by what your new species naturally eat. The thought alone would have made Eala hurl, but her stomach was out of mushrooms. But after a while hunger won out. She waddled cautiously out from her stone hiding place into the waters for a swim.
Thankfully the ducks did not show open hostility as expected. A few paddled away when she got a bit close, but otherwise, they regarded her with only minute curiosity before diving after more grubs. Eala was at least grateful for this, as she could observe their movements for a while before taking a few test dives herself.
It was relatively easy a concept to grasp, although in practice she caught her bill in the lake's floor more times than it caught food. Still, she managed to force down enough slimy weeds and a cricket to make her insides stop protesting to be filled. Not that it made her any less miserable when the ducks swam off to find nests in the dead shrubs, and her back under crumbling stones for a nights rest.
The following days leading up to Christmas were a very similar haze of just trying not to die. Eala had even awoken to almost forgetting she had been turned into a swan. That quickly changed when she stepped out into the cold morning lake to find a pair of wolves prowling its banks. Their snarls quickly got Eala’s wits back together in time to fly into the deeper center of the lake. Although it was still hours of prowling before the wolves had moved on for a meal.
Time passed in a fairly similar fashion for Eala without the sun visible through the trees for most days. All sorts of forest animals would pass by for their daily drinks; deer, foxes, squirrels, other swans. Not that being around her own forms species helped relieve a growing sense of loneliness. They were not humans that had been given all their dreams on a platter just to have some mad potion maker turn you into a bird.
The problem with being stuck alone with your thoughts is just how thoroughly you end up analyzing them when there is nothing better to do. Eala had always had a rough life in the circus. The stage master had always been a real dick about performances no matter how hard she tried. Tightrope balancing was hard, she had been born a bit bottom heavy giving her anything but a good sense of balance. Knife tricks had definitely been her favorite. Getting to swing around a weapon at least created some sense of superiority over the other stage shows glaring down at her.
It just was not enough, if Stagemaster dickface was all too happy to give her up for adoption when it meant a literal royal sum. Eala could not blame him, she guessed. Lackluster acrobatic and acting skills were probably not even worth half the bounty he got out that exchange. It did not bother her anyway. Eala got to become a princess for virtually no reason than the whims of married old people when you got down to it. What a fun little power rush that had been to ride. She got to command precise control over people's lives for a change. Butlers had to tie her shoes if she deemed it necessary, and boy were some of those laces hard to get right. Now it was the maids that got to do tricks for her amusement. Who the heck needs a court jester? Watching people fumble about under threats of flogging was way more side-splitting enjoyment than…
At some point in her daily fumings, Eala started to think there was a reason she got turned into a swan.
Christmas and her birthday came upon Eala before she knew it. She only knew this from any other because of a few nobles that had commented the eve was coincidently one of a full moon. Seeing that big white orb rise over the trees to shine over her lake brought at least some semblance of joy to Eala. Seeing the waters light up with a brim of shimmering plants coated in ice made the area seem almost mystical.
Before long the moon was even shining directly down upon the area where Eala swam. Her silhouette in the water looked positively beautiful outlined to the white ball behind it.
“Happy eighteenth birthday, Eala. You rotten piece of bird dung.” She thought dryly to the rippling image. Moonlight shined in a spotlight around the area Eala had been swimming. Might have just been the light reflection, but everything felt like it was getting brighter. “At least you get to die looking more elegant than you lived. Gods I wish I could have another chance to do better.”
SPLOSH!
"What the gobbilty glorp!?"
Eala's long neck allowed her to whisp around in a startled panic from the water shooting up in a splash before her. Another stream shot through her tail feathers reaching towards the moon above. Panicked at the weird notion the lack itself would attack her, Eala tried to flap her wings, but her body refused to move. The forces causing waves to wash higher and higher around were not about to let their target escape so easily. Soon all Eala could see were walls of water twisting and turn around her. Their forms turning rainbow in colors thanks to the bright light above they so hungrily reached for.
That is until they arched and came crashing down on one very angry swan.
"YOU THRICE GODS BLASTED FILTH OF A LAKE! DON'T YOU THINK I HAVE ENOUGH...problems?"
As the water washed over Eala's body as easily as it would a smooth stone, she was dumbfounded to find those were not angry trumpeting coming from her bill. She was talking. The voice sounded a bit deeper with a bit of a hang on some vowels, yet still felt very close to her original one. Looking down only compounded her senses further with feelings of familiarity and alienation at the same time.
To say that Eala had been transformed again would have been a gross understatement. However, the lake saw fit neither restore her to human nor keep her like some common swan. If anything she seemed to be an odd mix of the two. She was certainly human in many regards to body shape; breasts bigger than any fruit Eala had even known bulged through the low neckline of a very elegant red dress that had materialized over her new body. A quick check around confirmed her butt was equally as huge. Such soft cheeks stretched out the back of her skirt into a taut little shelf. Turning eighteen must have hit Eala with a shipwreck of puberty, making her more stacked than any two-gold prostitute she had ever made fun of.
Eala also highly doubted anyone would be overly jealous of such a figure, given it was covered in thick white feathers. All things considered, she still felt more swan than a person. A clean hole had been cut in her skirt to allow a rich tuft of tail feathers to waggle out above her enlarged rear. Although long red hair had returned along with cheeks, she still had a long-billed bird face attached to a long thin neck. Hefting up the hem of her skirt, Eala could see her feet with an odd mix. They were closer to resembling human in function, but only had four thin toes still connected by a thick black webbing to match their scales going up to her knees.
The arms still won for the strangest part to be changed, far as Eala was concerned. They still had the huge impressive feathers of wings but had ends that flowed out into five very large and dexterous digits to constitute hands. Heck, perhaps they still functioned for flight and tool manipulation. They were at least large enough to grasp the full volume of Eala’s giant mammaries.
“Freaky swan-person monster, huh?” Eala crossed her wing arms which made her white melons look ready to pop out of her dress. Ignoring feeling of admiration for such bountifulness, she gave the moon a sarcastic sneer. “This is a bit of a far cry from what I wished for. Don’t you think?”
A sharp wind sliced through the clearing. Eala gave a startled honk in surprise as it sends her dress all a flutter. Basic instinct caused her to grapple with the hem to try keeping her fat bird butt covered. This was what allowed Eala to notice when the wind passed right between her feet leaving a trail of leaves, twigs, and any other loose garbage it could pick up. Her gaze followed this phenomenon in bewilderment as it assembled across the water to disappear through the woods beyond.
“And...what the heck is THAT?” Eala threw up her large wing hands towards the moon in frustration. “Are you leading me home? Off a cliff? Or into the lair of some other animal-human thing that might either hump me or eat me? Hell, given how SWELL Christmas has been for me-” She paused in her tantrum to bounce her breasts in each hand. “I wouldn’t be surprised if there’s a wolf guy around here to do both!”
Eala stood defiantly when another strong wind blasted against her back, showing off glimpses of glittering silver panties in such invasive moonlight. Which is probably why she failed to notice the broken stick until it slammed hard against the back of her head.
“HONK! Alright! Alright! It’s better than hanging around a muddy lake looking like some farmhands bimbo fantasy.” Eala lifted her skirt to take an experimenting first step in her new body. Aside from hips having a heavy, jiggling wag to them, it was as natural as any other biped. “God damn, nothing’s going to stop sloshing, is it? Freaken perverted freak of a universe!”
Eala stepped out of the shimmering image of the moon upon the lake. Her startled honk that came right after was cut sharply by her heavy shape dropping through the water like a boulder. Clearly, the mass bequeathed to her hips and chest were no longer supplying enough buoyancy to float like other birds.
That or the universe understood the context of sarcasm as well as Eala.

“Mrrpphh Weffle hrrblmeh frrhhhppgh!”
“Eh hehe!” Daniel laughed nervously before the duke and duchess that glared offensively back at the figure next to him. Not that Moira seemed to care in the slightest as they strutted off to leave her gorging on such amazingly tender pheasant at her throne. “P-princess? We’ve been over this. Don’t eat like a fucking pig in the middle of your coronation ceremony…”
“Language, Daniel dear.” Moira giggled after swallowing her mouth full of meat. Never in her life had such a sweet assortment of delectables been so freely at her fingertips. In her likeness of Eala, it was also hard to not sarcastically try washing the grease off her face with a dress sleeve. “You should treat your upcoming queen with a bit more respect. As that’s who I am now, all in character.”
“And I feel the need to remind you that my potion will only keep you ‘in character’ for a week. Granted I would love to see you explain to your court why a wrinkled old hag is suddenly wearing the queen's garments when you change back.”
“Spoiled sport!” Moira spat out the seed of a date she had been chewing on, along with most of the date. “This is supposed to be ‘my’ birthday party, after all. We should be kicking it up now that you’ve gotten rid of Eal…”
“Sha-sha-sha-sha!” Daniel hurried to silence Moira almost slapping her in the process.
Granted that would have been an unwise move in full view of the king and queen. The congregation of high society quickly ceased their mingling upon the royals entering their grand ballroom. However, the pair ignored any and all attempts at praise and greetings on their rather boring walk to their respective thrones next to Moira. Following a bit more diligently behind them was their seneschal, who Daniel and Moira never bothered to learn his name. What did raise the pair's interest was the caretaker's footman sporting a pillow where the crown rested. They stopped before the lineup of thrones giving a deep bow that would almost make for convincing sincerity towards Moira. After which the entire chamber fell silent while the seneschal stared expectantly at a king, who looked ready to take a nap.
“Hrrggble!” The king sputtered after a harsh elbow jab from his queen got some life back into his eyes. After a second of staring around dumbfounded, something seemed to click in his mind to address Moira. “Ah yes. Yes...er...Keala, your mother and I are so...uh...so…”
“Proud, sire?” Daniel offered.
“Indifferent, yes! Thank you, Samwise!” Daniel and Moira exchanged a red-faced look but neither dared offer conjectures. “You mother and I are so indifferent knowing you will soon lead our fantastic kingdom into an era of...whatever it is you did in the circus, I guess. Can we get on with this? Our carriage to the coastal villas is waiting.”
“Yes, of course, your majesties!” Daniel felt sorry for the poor Seneschal's efforts. He was probably the only one on this platform that cared for anything going on. With seemingly practiced movements, he took the crown from its resting pillow before taking place holding it above Moira’s head. “Thank you, all, nobles and fairly successful merchants, for attending this almost stupendous occasion. For many years we feared this kingdom would proceed into a dark and leaderless future. But today our kind and benevolent rulers have seen fit to give us an heir even more endearing and benevolent as they…”
“A little deeper please,” the queen could be heard muttering only to those nearby. “You’re nose isn’t quite completely up my ass yet.”
“Ahem!” The seneschal continued, beginning to lower the crown. “And so it is my sacred duty in the eyes of our gods that I declare Princess Keala….WHAT THE FLYING HELLFIRE IS THAT!?”
No one really noticed when the crown clattered across the floor in their seneschals panic. Even the king had perked his head temporarily out of his stupor from such yelling. They did not need to look far to figure out what 'that’ was being referred to.
At the entrance, more and more attendees were backpedaling against each other in cries of alarm. Striding through them came a figure, so hourglass in shape Daniel almost thought those sashaying hips were what parted the crowd. But it was much more likely due to her looming seven-foot stature covered in snow white feathers that made her appearance startling. Combined with the silver lines of her gown the bird woman seemed positively radiant in the moonlit shining through the ceiling windows.
The only thing that ruined her beauty was that ugly scowl of fury her bill seemed permanently twisted into. A look that Daniel felt hauntingly familiar when her sparkling blue eyes locked to his.
"Well, look at that! I didn't know Eala wanted a costume party."
Only the queen wanted to look at her husband after his tired observation.
"Dear, I'm pretty sure that's a real swan...thing...tracking mud all over the carpet no less."
"What? Swans actually come like this?" The king leaned in so far from the throne he looked poised to fall into the swan's canyon of cleavage. Which might have very well been his intention. "There's no way those are real. I've been served watermelons less ripe than those. Delorian! Check to see if those bulging masses are real!"
Thankfully Daniel did not have to properly process what he had just been ordered to do. The queen remained expressionless as she yanked her husband by the collar back into place.
"Dear we agreed on no adultery until we got to the villas."
Surprisingly the swan woman unphased by such unbecoming monarch behavior. But she still tried to cross her wing-like arms upon reaching the steps to the thrones. A vain attempt at cover that only further hoisted her feathered cleavage and not encouraging eyes to move up her noodle neck.
"Well, you guys are about as helpful as I expected. Good to know something about my feather brained birthday is still normal."
Daniel's left eye twitched. His eyes bore into the swans at recognizing a snooty tone he had thought to never endure again.
"Look at that honey; the freak of nature is talking." The king gave out a laugh that quickly degraded into helpless coughing. "And she sounds a lot like our daughter."
"No, this thing is definitely a lot less squawker." The queen joined in with her own clucking chortle. "And she may even have some taste in fine silk. Assuming she can keep her ass out of the filth long enough to show it off."
"Love you too, mom. Hope you can spend retirement chasing after towel boys a quarter of your own age without breaking a hip bone." The swan sighed. Just as Daniel raised a hand to offer comment, she snapped back first to jab a finger accusingly at Moira sitting next to him. "Citizens, do not be fooled! That is an imposter princess instilled by Daniel in a plot to usurp the crown! I am the true princess Keala!; reborn from his treachery by the divine grace of the moons magic."
A hush fell over the entire ballroom. One so thick a mouse could be heard scurrying around for some fallen crumbs. Daniel was the only one that seemed to keep his wits about. Granted he looked just as unsure about how to proceed after such a drastic declaration as anyone else. At least until Moira began tugging at his sleeves.
"Danny-boy? W-what the holy fuck is that giant bird bimbo tooting?"
"Just shut up and drink some more wine!" Daniel produced a flask of red liquid from within his robes to shove into the girl's hand. "Our lives may very well depend on these next minutes."
Moira offered no resistance as she uncorked the bottle to begin chugging. This was definitely a situation that called for an extensive supply of alcohol.
"Oh, you're damned right about these next minutes!" the real Eala lifted her gown to ascend the steps in slow, hard steps. Shame the universe lacked the class to give her shoes over such webbed feet. Their wet slapping effect did not add the intimidating punch she hoped for. "If you thought you could just HONKing dump me in a HONKing HONK lack for the rest of my HONK life, then you HONKes will hang so fast it'll make my HONKing neck look short by comparison. I..."
"Welp!" The queen clapped her hands while rising to her feet. All wide eyes of the ballroom shuffled with one unified thud to focus on her. "This beast is most certainly our daughter. Can't believe how much I actually missed hearing her passionately improvised tirades. It so fits a personality for ruling this kingdom."
"We adopted a swan more stacked than six bar wenches combined?" The king rose with her, rubbing the bald spot of his head just as confused as half his subjects.
"No, apparently the moon farted and filled her boobs with gas or something."
Eala blinked at her rather demented excuse for parents. "Yeah, I guess we can go with that. Hey! Where you going!!"
The Royals stepped right past Eala without giving much care for her stature. Except of course for the king brushing suspiciously hard with the curve of her hip and backside as he passed.
"I think we're pretty much done here, treasure heart of ours!" The crowd parted again to let the queen pass.
Her husband lingered only a few paces behind after finally removing his hand from Eala's side. "Yes. Yes. Giant talking swans are where we draw the line. You can work out who becomes queen with your twin sister."
"We're not even related!" Eala yelled at her parents as they passed through the entrance arch. "She's like ancient old under that potion!"
"I'm twenty-eight!" Moira grumbled, more from the deep rumbling of her belly causing her to fight the urge to vomit.
Daniel blinked looking slightly remorseful. "Are you really? Shame what stress does to a worker."
"Oh, don't even think this is going anywhere good for you two piles of horseHONK!" Eala whirled to directly jab Daniel in the chest with her feathery wing-finger. "I've had to eat bug and weeds all week, on top of other filthy things. As the gods are our witnesses tonight, you will forever...is she okay?"
"GAH!" Moira looked like she was trying to stand, only to stagger out of her throne into a pathetic position on all fours. Her tray of assorted fine food found its way splattered across Eala's sparkling new gown, but it was the way Moira's body shivered that rose many red flags. "G-gods damn you, Danny. W-what the hell did you give meeeeee~?"
Moira let out a gurgled croak stuck gawking dumbstruck at her hands. The skin had already begun to brighten to a shimmering yellow hue before it rippled into several thousand fine scales. Fingers spasmed through loud cracks from their bones lengthening. Muscles thickened her hands out while fingernails popped off to make room for flesh-tearing talons.
"It's called a Plan B, Moira darling." Daniel folded his arms smugly, his gaze never leaving Keala. "since the royal nutjobs literally give no fucks about who gets the throne we might as well fight tooth and nail, or beak and claw as your case is about to be."
Moira nor Keala was paying too much attention to Daniel's cliche evil gloating at that moment. Moira, in particular, seethed hot breaths watching her arms tear through their satin sleeves as they bubbled out in raw muscles. Fine fabric rivaling the worth of a house split away revealing not her delicate human flesh, but deep lumps of hard power coated in fine layers of small brown feathers.
"Y-you lying sack of..gaahh...SQWAAAAA!!"
Moira's perky ass shot into the air just as a very thick horse tail exploded out the seat of her gown. It was followed even less ceremoniously by the butt it was attached to. The tear parted further and further as Moira glutes exploded in rapid surges. Her cries coming out in bestial grunts with each hard rush of increasing fat and muscle deposits. However, these plumping ass cheeks were coated in a fine chestnut fur coat instead of feathers.
"Wha...what haAWWKening to me!?" Moira's head whipped back and forth very stiff and bird-like trying to watch her backside transform. The gown still kept most things hidden, but she could sure feel, and hear, her legs stretching and shredding the lace of her stockings. Brown fur continued to cascade down her legs. With each inch covered the flesh itself thickened out with the same powerful muscle as she widened horse hips. Their increasing length hoisted such a large rear higher and higher in the air until they became completely coated in fur rippling with buff power. Before long the hem of the gown itself hefted off the ground to let Moira see her ruby sandals.
Right before a cramp seized up her toes. Moira let out another startled caw watching such an amazing pair of shoes tear to shreds under the swelling of her feet. Well, hoofs now, as the end of her legs had thickened out into such hard black platforms that clopped angrily across the marble floor.
"What's happening to me you SAWWWKK!?" Moira repeated, her red hair starting to flutter around in hard clumps half-transitions into crown feathers. Yet her ears were actually lengthening, becoming over a foot long from the top of her head and coated with the same brown fur as her lower half now sported.
Eala began to take many steps back, along with much of the congregation that had not collected enough sense to flee for their lives. Mayhaps it would have been more prudent to have at least taken a detour to the armory before storming down through the palace on a rampage. One of many lessons in humility and clear planning Eala would have to check down if she survived the night.
"Aawwwk! SKAAAWW!" Moira shot up onto her hoofed hunches grappling her eagle-hands at the corset of her gown. With a mighty pull, it and her dress were torn clear off her transforming body in its entirety. Something that helped make it instantly apparent why it caused her such discomfort. No sooner had the bodice fallen free than her chest flopped out as two magnificent orbs dwarfing her still human head in size. The thick tuft of crest feathers growing in around them sat poised like an arrow to indicate such amazing depths of free hanging cleavage.
Not to say anything of the abs hardening into a thick wall of power down Moira's expanding stomach. Even her thinned hourglass waist filled out a bit with hard ridges that flowed into defined sinew along her back.
"HRRK!!" Moira hunched awkwardly to a loud crunching noise that made her swollen shoulders crunch together. From the little space between them, two pointed stalks began to stretch out the feathered flesh of her body. With another hard crunch, they surged out into nearly two foot high tents before her skin seemed to finally relent. In a flurry of feathers, Moira arched her back in a shrill cry to the heavens. From her back erupted two wings spanning nearly double her ten-foot body in length from either shoulder. Their feathers shinned in the moonlight a near golden brown coloration.
They twitched at on instinct trying to connect new nerves to Moira's brain as she staggered about in clumsy clops. Eala could already see it coming when Moira had cried out, but still winced when the changing hippogriff's teeth poked through the tight purse of her lips. Both sets had fused into their own individual lumps of hard chitin that not stretched out despite Moira's attempts to hold their collective point back. Her nose quickly became pushed back into the tight base of her skull as teeth thickened out considerably into a proper predators beak.
"Magnificent! Is she not!?" Daniel clapped his hands with glee ducking under a startled Moiras wing to present himself in view again. The man now barely stood up to Moira's epically buffed hips, which he gave a satisfied pat. "Sorry about the dress dear, but I'm sure a twelve-foot goliath like yourself can get one tailored together in the morning. Now, why don't you put that stubborn little princess out of our misery for good?"
Moira clicked her beak several times. She seemed almost lost in experimenting with such a strange new orifice for several seconds before directing her gaze down to the tiny human at her hooves. With an angry grunt that sent a blast of visible steam searing across to top her harden jaws she slowly lifted one leg up and pulled it as far back as thickly muscled thighs could allow.
"....oh."
Daniel saw the monsters hoof come swinging down upon him. And that was pretty much the last thing he would ever remember that night. It impacted his chest hard enough that everyone winced at the crunch. Before anyone could think of giving him aid, the man's body shoot right through the ballroom to shatter one of the overhead windows. Last Eala could see the man's body was only a blur ironically sailing to the backdrop of the moon towards the same forest he had left her to die.
"Well, uh..." Eala's voice cracked when Moira's ravenous scowl whipped around to stare her down next. " That about settles then, eh? Once Danny gets over his concussion he can turn us both back to normal and maybe we can share the-OH SHIT!"
With a flap of her wings that sent all three thrones tumbling in the wind, Moira was upon Eala. Sharp pain racked through Eala's sides as the hippogriffs talons sliced deep into her sides. There was very little time to cry out from such a death grasp. Moira's burst of speed propelled her and her new prey high into the air where a hard toss sent the swan shattering through one of the stained glass windows in a shower of glass and blood.
It happened faster than Eala's mind could process. By the time it occurred that she had been thrown, her crimson dress was getting ripped apart by the thick patches of rose bushes that cushioned her landing. Rolling out in a cursing fit of cuts and bruises, Eala found herself stumbling about the middle of her parents garden. By some luck, she had narrowly missed breaking herself on the three figured mermaid fountain that was the centerpiece.
THWOOM! THWOOM!
Luck being a relative, and rather low, commodity for the swan princess right now. As the rhythmic beating of wings drew her dirty bill towards the sky. Moira's bulky monster shape loomed up over the hedges and walls to cast a vast shadow in the moonlight.
"I know it's a bit late to apologize for being a dick," Eala said, backpedaling until her legs hit the rim of the garden fountain. "We can still share this stuff out like normal people. How about I rule as queen and you can be a guard for all the farmers out there? Might be fun getting paid in sheep and-WAITI'MNOTDONE! HONK!"
At least this time when Moira flapped into a hard dive Eala was ready for a daring escape. The only problem was said fountain tripping up her webbed feet in the process. Still, falling with a startled squawk into ice cold water was probably the only thing that saved Eala's tits from being ripped off. Moira's sharp eagle talons grasped at the open air they used to occupy as she soared past. The beast let out a cry of outrage for missing her prey while she flapped to regain altitude for another pass.
Eala's head erupted from the water a second later sputtering for breath and whipping about on its noodle neck to get some of the wet red hair out of her face. So far her fancy red dress was not torn apart, covered in mud, and soaking wet. Fresh blood still trickled from the punctured holes decorating her waist to taint the fountain's water further. A shriek closing in from above told Eala there might be seconds before certain doom can swoop down for another attempted kill. And she had maybe a few loose rocks to use as weapons for defense.
Honestly, getting back the throne was going a lot better than Eala had been expecting.
Eala looked up again as the dark shadow fell upon her. Moira was aiming up for a much closer, faster, dive this time around. There would be almost no time to even crawl out of the fountain well before those claws torn Eala into chunks. That beast was so close she could see Moira’s heavy breasts bouncing in the fountains light.
Wait, why was the fountain glowing?
A question both animal-humans seemed to be asking. Moira flapped back and forth across the sky hesitant to make her fatal dive. That certainly made Eala adamant to stay inside this little pool. Especially when the glowing water started to move.
Eala would have been horrified by this, had such random liquid actions not already worked in her favor. Although this time the universe felt a bit more subtle than a splash to the face. Slick streams of shimmering water defied gravity to snake it's way up her plump swam frame, weaving through crevices in her gown and feathers. She held up her winged arms in admiration for the way they shimmered like glowing veins.
Of course, such water did more than just make a swan sparkle. All sense of fatigue and pain lifted off Eala's body into the magical mist around her. Blood stains vanished off her gown while the cuts that caused them sealed back up with any signs of their presence hidden under freshly cleaned feathers. Heck, the dress itself began sewing itself back up. Invisible needles healed all the nasty hippogryph tears until the swan princess looked and felt better than when she even arrived at the palace.
Clnk clnk CLANK!
Eala blinked, watching the fabric of her repaid gown starting to look a lot more glossy from more than just water. Twisting and turning in small splashed she could see the gown of her once silken skirt was shifting away from its loose fabric nature. After several loud metallic clangs, she needed a second to realize she now wore a skirt of crimson armored plates, with silver fabric linking them together around her legs.
"Hrrk! What the HONK!"
That was not her only garment to suddenly shift. A sudden sense of cold washed over her tender bouncing breasts due to her bodice hardening into a solid breastplate. Of course, it still left much of her breasts bulging out the trimmed edges. The universe was not that so conservative. Although it did change her sleeves into protective leather gauntlets while shoulder poms became pauldrons. At least she was protected in the places that mattered. Who the heck puts armor over their heart?
"SCREEEEEE!!"
Eala nearly fell over in her much heavier clothing when Moira decided to give a reminder she was plotting up above. Seeing this dumbass of a spoiled princess suddenly get healed AND a wardrobe upgrade was enough to wait on. Moira pulled her wings back with all ten of her hand-claws outstretched for those exposed white melons. There was no way she was going to let whatever was happening finish just so she could be at a lower power level. In all sense that was strategically stupid.
Compared to now when Eala had a hard enough time waddling her fat hips on webbed feet before. Now she felt dressed for a battlefield with more weight to slow her speed to a crawl. Even falling out of the fountain before Moira sank those claws into her ribcage seemed new impossible. The hippogriffs buff silhouette shrouded Eala in darkness as the distance between them rapidly closed. All she could do was hold up her arms in a meek scream to let the gauntlets absorb the assault.
CLANG!
Or maybe several of the water streams would merge and form a very impressive kite shield on Eala's off hand. Just in time for Moira to dive head-first into it. Somehow the impact barely caused Eala to fidget. Yet the giant hippogriff fell backwaters a sputtering dazed mess splashing fountain water helplessly.
"Cool!" Eala grinned at the silver lined swan engraved across her new shield.
Then she noticed the feathery arm it was mounted to. Did she have biceps under those feathers this whole time? Just holding the shield caused her arms muscles to swell out from under their plumes in ways she could never imagine as a human.
And they were still swelling, even when fully flexed...
"Now wha-haaah-HOONK!!"
Eala staggered in a loud splash to lean against the fountain. Her mind was spinning under a strange feeling of falling. Except the cold concrete sliding down her back told Eala the opposite seemed to be happening. It took a few clumsy steps to find proper footing again. That would probably be expected when one starts growing bigger and taller. Eala kept clicking the plates of her skirt armor shuffling about to find a center of balance that was constantly changing. Amazingly her amour did not seem to mind her several additional feet of growth. The magic of the moonlit water made it always altering to be one size ahead of her every increasing body.
A good thing too, since her size was not the only thing wanting to get bigger. Each labored honk Eala's breasts would puff out and bulge through the open slot of her breastplate. Yet when she released it, they did not shrink back to their previous size. Soon she was sporting white snowballs each bigger than her bird head, only to watch them go beyond even that size comparison. No two hands would ever be able to support such full mammaries as well as the stretching metal plates could.
"Honk!"
Not wanting to be outdone, Eala arched her back as a shifting spread across her buttocks. With a loud clang, the metal plates of her skirt slammed into the fountain. Both plump feathered glutes surged into hard worked globs of muscle. But soon those were cushioned nearly invisible under thick layers of fat. New giga-bird butt spread considerably causing her hips to spread wider still. The fat that seemed to be left over trickled down from ass into thighs, also encompassing the ridged thick muscle into a more supple form that jiggled when she walked. The results were hard to see under such plated armor, but Eala sure felt her lower half expanding into an hourglass shape just from the way her skirt plates ceased fluttering so much.
“Hrrk!” Eala also nearly conked herself with her new shield when a cramp sent both hands clasping her stomach. A bubbling feeling rushed forth all around her waist and back. The effects of which she could easily guess by a sudden decrease in space inside her red battle blouse. Odds were good those ab patterns forged into the front of her armor were a prelude to the real deal. In fact, they almost felt a snug fit for the actual muscles rising through the feathers of her stomach. “Wow, guess the universe likes me a bit more than you, eh Moira?”
With another flex, Eala giggled at seeing her biceps inflate to hard rocky mounds power that dwarfed their last growth. Even her voice was starting to change as her long neck thickened with this blessing. There was a deeper, powerful vibration to her words. Something that drowned out the nasal undertone for a more sultry adult feel.
If Moira had heard the taunting, she was still too busy finding her footing to muster a reply. When she did finally stand up…
BONG!
There was only the shock of Eala’s breastplate to greet her. The armor now stretched out several feet from the swan's chest to properly cup the equally voluminous breasts contained in their divine cups. Even with so much flesh bulging in a constant threat of popping out they never seemed to spill across that line. They could probably have held the coronation banquet on her bust and butt to save table space like that.
The rest of Eala was nothing to sneeze at either. Moira shook off the initial shock of her head trauma only to look straight into the ridged glittering metal of Eala's stomach armor. Craning her head back, the stunned hippogriff staggered back tripping over the edge of the fountain for a painful landing on her horsetail.
The swan was now a towering behemoth of her already transformed self. A once fancy fountain barely reached past her hips at its highest points. It was more like a glorified seat to soak her webbed feet at this point. Assuming her enlarged rumpus could be supported by such a tiny base.
While the magical water no longer appeared across Eala's body, its influence was obvious for all but the blind to see. Muscles piled upon muscles making even Moira look like a casual labor worker by comparison. And even those could not defeat the pure hourglass shape of her womanly curves. Breasts to rival the moon itself sloshed about in a sort of irony that Eala might make cows jealous. Which was saying nothing compared to the jiggling going on in her rump. The tiniest step was enough to get her cheeks bumping hard against the inside of her skirt in their resulting sashay.
Not that the skirt would budge against such plush levels of fat. Eala found her outfit to be the strangest change of the bunch. It still somehow maintained a traditional shape of any other regal ball gown. That was about where the similarities ended. Having a skirt composed of red metal plates and leather with a literal steal bodice to match simply sent all kinds of mixed signals. She seemed just as ready to charge an army in battle than pick a bachelor up for a dance.
This might have been a good thing considering the angry growling coming from Moira.
“You sure we can’t talk this out?” Eala’s confidence faded into a nervous chuckle seeing Moira rise up and spread her wings.
Although Eala now overshadowed Moira in every direction, that was still one super buff, pissed off hippogriff. Those piercing eagle eyes never left Eala’s while nursing a rather nasty head wound. It was still a cause of predator against prey. Having an armor advantage only meant Moira would have to work harder to tear into a now extra meaty swan dinner. Eala had never been trained to fight, much less make a kill. She was either going to need to grapple Moira into submission or find a weapon that could at least subdue her for a while.
Eala felt a sudden weight appear in her main-hands grip the same time Moira leaped up with her beak poised to bite right into Eala’s unprotected noodle neck. There was no time to even question what was happening. Raising her shield would just get it pushed back by Moira’s giant weight. Eala let out a honking scream bringing her new object around in a wild swing.
Ch-CRACK!
The magical Warhammer struck true right into the side of Moira’s head. The hippogriffs eyes widened with comprehension that something with the force of a canon had made an impact. But that was about as far as such thoughts went before its shock shut down all her motor functions. As Moira’s limp body was suddenly launched sailing through several plants, trees, and walls of the garden her predator's eyes rolled towards the back of her head with an unconscious glaze to them.
“Wha-what?” Eala slowly opened her eyes to find nothing but a beautiful night sky before her. She spent a while just staring at the rippling wing holding a glowing silver hammer until finally piecing together what had transpired. Of course, the long trail of destroyed garden with indentions oddly hippogriff shaped helped her along. It was only by the grace of the gardens Mythril fence that Moira had been spared flying completely out of the castle. And even that had bent outwards considerably like a net to catch her.
“Honking AWESOME!” Eala fist-pumped her shield with a happy honk. After stepping out of the fountain, that she was not taller than, another sound of clambering metal began to echo across the courtyard. Before long an entire regiment of guards had arrived. Half split off to collect Moira’s unconscious horse butt, while what remained looked unsure about how to handle a swan towering over them. Her tits alone were almost enough to cast a shadow over them after all. “Move, please. I have a throne to collect.”
While the guards were too stunned by Eala’s thunderous voice to do much of anything, she at least managed to shimmy through them without having to shove any aside. She imagined it would have been hard even without the armored gown covering her ass.
Upon returning it was a nice relief to see the seneschal still had enough wit about him to take action. Many of the nobles and guests had also returned, most likely out of curiosity to see what outcome had befallen such a monster battle. Regardless all eyes were on Eala when she managed to wedge her way through the ten foot double doors. Not an easy feat when your chest span was wider still. Only the soft clanking of her battle dress sounded across the ballroom while she sashayed up to the plateau of thrones.
“And...you are?” The Senechal scoffed having to step back quite ways just to look up into Eala’s eyes. Credit for keeping a surprisingly steady demeanor for being this close to her lumbering frame.
Eala took a deep breath that made her chest armor creek with its puffing. Something that distracted a fair number of onlookers while she set down her hammer and shield on her mother's throne.
“I am the true Princess Eala; blessed by the divine with new clarity and form to properly rule over this kingdom.”
It was almost deafening how sudden the collective groan of discontent drowned out the entire ballroom. Looking back Eala’s arms raised on reflex to block a few randomly flying fruits and glasses of wine. Most barely made it above her waist where they broke harmlessly against her armor. Eala’s bill dropped seeing not a single friendly face among the crowds intently eyeballing her. Many had begun making towards the exits in a chorus of angry grumbles.
“Now hear me out! Come on! Please!” Despite having a strong voice, Eala’s childish squeaks still honked in. That seemed just enough to catch most of the people’s attention. Not enough to make them move in to hear better, but at least they stopped moving to leave. “I know I’ve been far from an ideal candidate for royalty the past couple of weeks…”
Someone threw a cupcake that splatted across the plate of Eala’s right breast.
“Who throws a cup- anyway, I hate to say this but my adopted parents lack of interest in just about any of us can be a big cause of this. And thanks to Daniel’s attempts to usurp all of us for quick power I’ve had plenty of time to think over my own actions and place in the universe. Although when it comes to this universe, they seem to be really pent up perverts.”
Some of the crowd exchanged confused looks trying to make sense of Eala’s ramblings.
“All I can really ask is to please give me another chance. I’ve seen what the actions of being a spoiled brat can get you now, especially to people with mad alchemy labs. You all are without a leader to protect and serve you. Perhaps the universe saw some pity in me to give you a champion you deserve. Together perhaps we can all make this kingdom great again.” Eala finished with a flexing of both arms. The resulting biceps ended up squishing her even larger breasts together. “At the very least I can hammer down any threats that befall your families.”
Silence fell across the ballroom even after Eala eventually relaxed out of dramatic flexing. The crowd said nothing for so long their glances around began to feel really awkward. Sweat was soon raining off Eala’s thick body in waterfalls waiting for any kind of response. Each passing second only increased her worries they would resume throwing delectables at her or even full-on riot.
“We...she does have great boobs.”
No one was really clear who made that passing comment. All that matter was that it started a small murmur of agreement that quickly rose into a wave of rapid discussions. Not all about Eala’s breasts, but also about her booty, her heritage, her skills, and various other positives a giant amazon swan could provide their generally mediocre lives.
“Then I present to everyone Queen Eala!” the seneschal called out.
Waves of half-hearted murmurs and slow claps resounded across the ballroom. Eala herself blushed deeply having to scrunch down on hands and knees to get her father's crown placed on formally on her head. Even then it looked like toy jewelry that slid back off when she tried standing.
“Guess my first order of business is to get a proper crown.“Eala laughed until she looked at the trio of thrones. Her gaze then drifted pensively to the small tail feathers wagging out of her skirt armor. “Also we should make a new throne. I don’t think putting all three together will make me even a decent seat.”
END.
