Somehow, being on a trip and unable to do a full NSFW audio really paid off. I met those restrictions--around other people, not my professional mic--with the idea of a voicemail. Simple, straight to the point. Could be recorded as a voice memo and make sense quality-wise. But then came the theme of the audio, so I looked at my calendar.

I really wanted to confess sexuality in a raw, deeply emotional way. How I experienced it, or at least imagine will when the time comes for me to engage with a man. (Side note, I consider myself a "non-practicing bisexual".) But aside from sexuality, it is about a deep friendship that goes beyond the bedroom. One of trust and compassion, openness and truth. All those parts of me crying? Real. I really got into the circumstances of this, made myself feel as I was talking to Josh--this fantasy character I created who really is a vehicle for me to explore my own sexuality.

I've read every single one of your comments so far, and they are all so touching. I am glad this is a community we can share in the love of ourselves and who we are. Happy Pride ya'll🏳️‍🌈

This is so beautiful Adrian💛 I also identify as a non-practicing bisexual who feels too old to even pursue something with a woman at this point. But, this here is so beautiful & heartfelt. It brought a tear to my eye. Thank you for sharing this & Happy Pride to you and everyone 🏳️‍🌈

Oh Bri don't.... You're not too old. We've all worked so hard with the VAs to fight the societal taboos. Everyone in their 40s and 50s who thinks it's over for them: STOP. Pursue what you want. Scary? Yes. But think of the payoff💜💜

I am late in joining up, but was impressed with the vulnerability in this audio. I don't know if any of the olders remember there was a scientist in the 70's(?) that rated sexuality on a scale. On one end you are unwaveringly straight and the other end unabashedly homosexual. I wouldn't call myself non practicing bisexual but I am probably a 5 if it is a 1-10 scale. I think being more in touch with sexuality is a sign of a quickly changing world and likely another step in our evolution.
