Let me show you around the station ;)

Kelsey and I discussed her apprehension to write the sequel to The Boy Next Door at the fire station because neither of us knew anything about it. So those of you that DO know a thing or two about firefighters, we hope it was accurate. I was impressed by the terminology and how natural it felt.

Probably my favorite part about this story is the growing intimate connection between me and you. Whereas the first one seemed more heavy on the sexual interaction, this one has an element of safety and security within the relationship--it's about you becoming part of my life. Isn't so beautiful to be able to show someone else how you operate, what you do for a living, and the joy it brings you?

It kinda piggybacks off of a conversation K and I had recently about the differences between the words intimate, sensual, and sexual. Intimate is a deep personal connection, sensual is when the intimacy is more about the particular person, and sexual is more about the act of sex... if that makes sense. Interested in your thoughts!

I used to work with a volunteer firefighter. He was newly single (divorced. not that this is a bad thing) and very (quite aggressively) flirtatious. I know not all are like that but that was unwanted lol. Now, the character that you and Kelsey created. Wonderful 😊
