Write a poem that explores how the changing seasons mirror changes in your life.

I'll start:

Crisp new air fills my heart and dances 'cross my face,

Summer sighs its final breaths as Autumn bares her grace.

And all the while, in my soul, I sense a kindly shift,

A grand becoming of myself in presence of this gift.

It starts less than a month from my birthday... and I'm scared this time around. I'm just a leaf but I think I'm falling earlier than usual. When less life-giving support is around what else do I do besides fall? ... or maybe it's a rebirth? Can loss be some form of a cathartic renaissance? It's strangely beautiful if so. After all, grey is a color too.

🍂 The autumn leaves begin to dance, In shades of gold, they take their chance A gentle breeze, a fleeting sigh, As summer waves it’s soft goodbye. I walk beneath the amber trees, And feel the promise in the breeze, The air is crisp, the sky is serene, Yet still, I wait for what’s unseen. The world prepares for the quiet rest, But in my heart, a sweet unrest— For somewhere in the autumn glow, A love awaits I’ve yet to know. As seasons turn and daylight fades, I dream of paths that fate has laid. And in the fall, I trust the skies, That you’ll appear like whispered ties. So here I stand, with hope in hand, As autumn paints this quiet land. In every leaf, in every hue, I wait for love—and wait for you 🍂
