How to do an audio when you are away from your booth... simple: make a crappier sound part of the story!

True story. I am still away for the Thanksgiving holiday (today is the last day of my trip), and when I travel, I tend to only bring my small lapel mics with me. The sound is decent, most of what I recorded for the Patreon is through those, but for Quinn's standards, it is no bueno. So the solution was to write a story that embraces bad audio. The result: an airplane PA system.

Of course, I was inspired by traveling via plane for this one. The amount of times I've heard a pilot on the PA system I could count on all my phalanges and then some. There's something both humorous and comforting about the captain getting on, making an announcement, usually with a bunch of gravely "uhhh"'s... it was that humor and shared experience that a good number of us have had that I wanted to bring in to this audio. And since it is through the PA system, of course it would be an overheard.

At first, I thought of doing it between the captain and a flight attendant, but it's been a while since Josh has made an appearance. So obviously, I had to cast him as the First Officer. Because let's be honest, in the real world, how long could someone get away with broadcasting their sexual escapades before someone let's them know the mic is on?... don't answer that. So something simple for the sex was what was needed, mutual masturbation is was.

As far as sound design goes, once again, I was going for realism. I wanted you to feel like you were sitting in economy in an uncomfortable seat, the person next to you digging their elbows in your side, a crying baby preventing you from sleeping... did you feel like you were there?
