This one was a bit of a last-minute adventure for me. I was scrambling for an audio script and remembered Storm’s treasure trove of ideas. Funny enough, this script came from a Writer Wednesday submission. Its [Theater] tag caught my eye, and here’s why: my journey with Quinn started in the world of [Actor], so it felt like coming full circle to my very first audio, Behind the Curtain.

Storm’s writing made revisiting that theater world feel poetic and fresh. The narration style posed an intriguing challenge—how to weave it seamlessly into the performance. Short but impactful, it pushed me as a Voice Actor and Sound Editor to try something new. Spoiler alert: that’s always the goal!

Today: Greenhouse Effect 🌸🔥

Kelsey knocked it out of the park again! Her poetic style is mesmerizing, and the way she intertwined blooming flowers with intimate dialogue? Pure magic. And the concept of a greenhouse heating up from, uh, passion? Chef’s kiss.

For the sound design, I went all-in on immersion—layering nature sounds, crafting binaural effects, and dialing up the intimacy. My aim? To make it feel like you’re right there, with every detail—from the ambience to the directionality—bringing the scene to life. Editing this one was a beautiful reminder of just how transformative these audios can be.
