This is our second Quinn-ception audio—the first being You Wrote Me ✍️, which played with a writer-creator dynamic. But this one? This one is meta on an entirely different level: a voice artist 🎙️ performing a character who doesn’t know the right things to say in bed… while reading from a script 📖.

When Kelsey and I talked about how to bring this character to life, we realized I’d have to tap into something I hadn’t felt in a long time—the uncertainty 😳 of when I first started doing this work. The hesitations, the self-doubt, the trial and error of figuring out what actually lands. Flash forward almost two years later, and my toolbox is full 🛠️. Words, tones, pacing—I know what works now. So stepping back into that awkward, exploratory space was… weirdly exciting.

Reliving that moment of realization—that there’s a freedom in this work—was such a rush ⚡. Getting to say certain words like it was my first time all over again (and yes, you know which ones 😏). Feeling that mix of nerves and excitement that experience has mostly smoothed out of me. It’s rare to revisit the before once you’re deep in the after, but this audio let me do just that. And honestly? It was fun as hell.
