Trying to Keep Everything Free (Patreon)

Now v8, v9 and v10 free for next 30 days and maybe always! Why?

Because I want to make my mods free for everyone.

But also I spend a lot of time with development. I have more than 15 years of programming experience and I know mods I make worth something for players, thats why you are using them.

And I think its pretty normal for me to expect a reward for the work I do. But also I want to keep everything free for everyone. So I tried to accept donations first 6 months but it didn't end well.

TAA mod for ETS2/ATS had more than 10.000 unique users daily but only 30-40 people donated. Its hard to expect a good developer with years of experience continue to development with that amount of donations.

Thats why later I switched to paid and it reached to 3k paid users. But now I want to try something.

I want to make everything free but also if you think its worth to subscription and you are in good condition to pay, I want to you to keep subscribing to patreon. I will also add higher tiers incase you think its worth more and you can pay it.

I want to try this for 1 month and if subscribers/users ratio is good enough I want to keep this way and let everyone use for free.

I understand some people feels like they are paying for other people but they shouldn't forget that free well made mods = better game = more players = more development by company and other developers. Thats why keeping it free is better for everyone including people who are paying.
