I refuse this bi erasure. Su Yu definitely liked Ye Wanying before and couldn't be with her because he felt that their social status' would be a hurdle. When they were in the hotel room we also heard him say "what is different" meaning like he was alone with her again, but he found that he didn't feel what he used to feel ( now he likes Wubi). As for Wu bi I'm not sure, he's previous romances aren't mentioned.

the dramaaaa, I love it so much. this show is just an example of coding and subtlety done right bc the subtext is so strong it's basically just there and yet it's still layered and somehow still dynamic. im also still so grateful you guys are doing two episodes at a time, I don't know if I'd survive waiting lolol

Ugh the scene after the beating at their home, when Su Yu says - "if it's a lie or a truth, you should know" really got to me! Basically saying - "shouldn't you trust me and be sure of my feelings for you now?" These two eps were so dramatic, I actually think I have to go and watch some of ep 13 in order to make it to next week (even though I know everything that happens lol)

Fun fact, the part where Suyu says Wubi is "really handsome" was ad libbed by the actor. It wasn't part of the script

texting in Chinese is kinda weird cause there isn't an alphabet but you type in the pinyin (which is the romanized pronunciation guide for Chinese) and then any character that uses that same pinyin will show up and you pick which one you need (they'll be listed in order of how common they are or how much you use them). It can be super complicated if you're looking for a character that isn't as common cause there can be hundreds of characters with the same pinyin. Like if I type in 'shi' while having my Chinese keyboard on it gives me 276 options but the first option is 是 (essentially the verb 'to be'). The keyboard will also use context clues so you can type a whole sentence in pinyin and it will guess what characters you mean.

Yes, to your liking gay guys comment. I had a really bad curse in high school and college of only falling for the gay guys. I HATE this girl so much, and I am catching up so I have watched the next few and I can't wait to see Adam's reactions to those as well. ALso, Adam accidentally quoting the show twice before the actors is my favorite thing about watching these reactions!
