Ok, I gotta puzzle this out so that I understand bc there was such a an infodump at the beginning. So the shipment was sabotaged after the order, people really did die from the faulty goods. The mom took the fall bc she knew the company failing would destroy her husband, but her family couldn't stand the taint on their reputation if she took the blame so this uncle spread a rumor that Wu was having an affair with a secretary (suyu's mom) in an effort to get her to put the blame back on Wu. But she stuck by him and didn't buy the rumors, instead proposing divorce so that Wu and the company would be safe of she was convicted. Her family wouldn't abide by that option either, so since they couldn't convince her to forsake Wu and refused to have one of their own in prison they either pressured her to suicide by threatening to kill Wu or had her killed and made it look like an accident. Did I get that right? I still feel like I'm missing something.

My head cannon is that the first time they "helped each other stretch" was in episode 9 after the wedding scene when Wubi came and told Suyu to stay with him for the night. I've never actually read the source material so I have no idea if that's accurate, but it makes sense to me lol. (Also, the fact that they moved in together the next episode...)

I'm fully convinced that the "stretching" happened in ep 19 on SuYu's birthday. They finally made up, then the whole scene with WuBi making excuses to DuoDuo why she couldn't sleep in the bed with them that night and as soon as WuBi hands her off to Miss Zhou it just cuts to black... And the next scene is WuBi's birthday a couple days later where he's telling SuYu he already gave him the best present...👀
