Thank you for your reactions! In all seriousness, though, and please do delete this at your discretion, but your take on the interactions between Matthew and Taerae (— and I do get it, that it’s all in good fun!) made me think about how difficult it would be for anyone to be at a place in their life where they may be figuring out stuff about yourself and not perfectly comfortable or safe to be open about that process, and having to do that in the spotlight in a heteronormative world, let alone a homophobic one. Straight people really do have privilege where they can just safely pretend to be whatever and play around with different alter egos. If any of the nine really are queer, I just hope they have people in their lives who are genuinely accepting and loving, and that they always feel safe. Sorry, I didn’t mean to write so long. I’m from a different culture and a generation, so, yes, I was a little bit triggered but I know that’s just based on my own lived experiences. You really are great queer studies teachers. Actual teachers should use your videos in their classes!
