Matthew is pretty good too, he got in the one of top research university in Canada and studied health sciences. Matthew's sister also said that Matthew's pretty good at school but it wasn't fun for him since he was studying during covid so everything was online. But it hink the smartest are hao and gunwook

Confirmed smart/academically inclined members: Hao - csat #1 in fujian province, Gunwook - consistent honor student and debate club president, Matthew - got accepted at a top uni in Canada and took up health sciences, Ricky - good at languages and former classmates said his grades were good(?)

Zerobaseone is a group of academically skilled, incredibly intuitive and intelligent members--it's just that it all immediately cancels out the second any one of them is in the same vicinity of each other www Interesting side note, Ricky has a younger sister he's very protective of (as he was raised in a family of mostly women) and was one of the few members of the maknae line (along with Gyuvin) to be asked onto Baby Cloud/Return of Superman during the In Bloom era, so he's actually pretty good with kids! It's just that his social battery tends to deplete pretty quickly like Hao, so he'll end up quietly letting other members take the lead on things.

gonna just word vomit about matthew a bit: matthew is someone who knows how to study and to perform well in school, and he clearly retains knowledge well (he's functionally fluent with french despite not having formally studied it for at least 3-4 years), but he knows that he doesn't have to use his brain to be an idol and so he doesn't <3 he simply chooses not to think. but as other people have pointed out, matthew has achieved a lot academically. is he still a himbo? ABSOLUTELY he contains multitudes
