Unpopular opinion but ground creative unit WAS boring. The choreography was objectively better than iland but it was also predictable, coming from a dancer. All the in between choreo was just your basic girl group/hip hop foundations moves strung together, with some basic formations (tbf iland had the upper hand having more people for pretty formations). Even their wow moments were not creative if ur in the dance sphere. In one of my high school dance team's routines for nationals we used the same motorcyle formation thing lol and the mirror idea is super overused in competition dance. Iland not having any real dancers honestly helped them bc they had no frame of reference for choreo to build something quickly. It meant the first foreground thing was super wow for me, and I loved the floorwork section too. The first 30 seconds where they had different people mirroring front and back and alternating highlighting people was sooooo clean and satisfying. And they simply had clearer storytelling, with recurring dance motifs and big, simple movements that just made it more fun to watch. I think the decision was correct, since this wasn't a choreography challenge. Iland really was more creative.

Adam calls the creative challenge rigged, I call the vocal challenge rigged; I honestly think they just did it for the storyline 😂 iland's version was just technically more proficient, they blended and listened to one another better, emitted more emotionally, I could literally go on -- granted, Taeyeon's song (in my humble opinion) is also more vocally challenging than Taeyang's, so that could be partially clouding my judgement.
