*Spoiler Alert For My Comment* ... I'm just confused at what the producers were trying to accomplish with the 14th episode, and why they didn't think they were setting Hanmin up to look bad? Like what was the conceit behind the episode- did the producers reach out and say we want to film you two on a date and Hanmin said actually I'm not interested in dating YJ and they said "that's fine come tell him that to his face and we'll film it!". I personally hope YJ Hanmin had this conversation off camera but the producers asked them to recreate it and YJ was a really good sport in the name of TV... Because the alternative just feels bizarre? SO many couples in dating shows choose eachother and it fizzles out, we could have just got one or two photos and a "they decided they were better off as friends" caption and it would have been fine. Felt like such tonal whiplash that they decided to sit YJ in front of a camera under what felt like false pretenses of a little post show date only to film a public rejection? It's baffling + made the whole show feel like it ended on a sour note for me...

This season was a ball~~ I'm glad y'all had a good time as well. As always your commentary is so funny. Also that was one of the reasons I didn't watch reality shows, the comments usually just turned me off. With y'all now I can watch the show with people who understand the nature of entertainment and editing and that we really don't know any of these people.

thank god u finally watched this episode bc i knew they we going to fast from the get go. hm after the final date was trying to get space when he tried to sleep but yj was like hovering the whole time and hm was like sleep in sm bed and then finally gave in when this boy wouldnt leave. mk and ms were my end game when episode 1 mk mubbled something and was like never mind and sm was like no its ok repeat and then explain its ok. sm has been hella patient and understanding from the beginning and tht how u get tht MRS. degree girls and boys

Youngjoon keeps posting so many stories on IG!! It looks like YJ, Hwi, Seongjin, Minseon are really close. YJ has also posted pictures with MK, so I kinda still have hope for them. MK keeps posting stories about Taehyung, which drives me crazy (cuz Tae is my ult bias). And I don't think YJ and HM are cordial to each other or friends.

For some reason I had assumed Minseon & Hwi both had supportive parents and was surprised they hadn't come out to them. Among the many many crimes I would lay at the feet of the producer of this show (who I have decided is a MONSTER ) is not including the coming out stories in the actual show bec it's not like their parents will know to go to YT to find that clip Also it seems like Seungmin was actually Hwi's first love (!) and I wish SM would stop saying he feels sorry and guilty and grateful and instead just be HONORED

the amount of tiktoks and tweets i've seen hating on hanmin and calling him a red flag or villain really pisses me off. like you don't know him and are taking what he said out of context. he clearly doesn't feel good with how everything went, but some ramdos on the internet think they have a say in what happens or how he feels.

my theory (w no proof) is that JS & SM decided they were done w being jerked around by the producers of the show & didn't trust them or the editors so decided to take control of their own narrative and roll it out themselves

I can't believe, production didn't include the coming out scene. You couldn't leave one or two scenes of SJ singing that song of his to include this question? Also, what song IS that? I'm wondering if some people judge the show and the cast based on whatever LGBTQ+ climate they're exposed to their life/part of the world. In my country same-sex marriage has been legalized for over a decade. Want to officiate it in church? Fine. Want to adopt? Fine. Want to serve in the military as openly gay? Fine. At my job we get one paid day off to volunteer for the yearly Pride Parade. Yesterday we had training in inclusive communication and understanding the importance of pronouns. It's by no means a perfect paradise, but I'm watching the show from an extremely different kind of backyard, than the one these men live in. When I hear, how the majority of the cast members are not out to their parents and how they hope being on the show, can help them find acceptance with the people closest to them, I'm shocked. It gets to me every season. Should I then sit here and pass judgement on these men for not acting as freely as what I'm used to seeing in my daily life and go bitch about it in their comment sections, where they can read it? How many idols and Kdramas does it take to spot differences in culture. Could it be, that some of the choices made by production was influenced by this too? Season 3 produced an apparently lasting couple after ONE week. Seongmin got his hands on ALL of that muscular, denimclad, softspoken, crybaby of a man and now he gets to rub it in our faces. Meanwhile, I'd settle for paying good money to get just one of those amazing hugs, Jaeseung gave his housemates in the finale. Oh, wait, there's even a bonus: the entire cast is still friends/friendly-ish. It's two seasons in a row now. That's a winning the lottery or Haobin walking down the aisle to have Taemin officiate the wedding level of success to me.

I was so shook when Hanmin broke up with Youngjoon in front of the cameras 😭😭😭 Also Myeongkyun is such a sweet softy I can't believe he teared up at Minseon's voice message and his declaration of their first day was so cute!

"You know, who was the main villain of this season? The people watching". This. THIS!! Episode 14 was a mistake. Who was all of that for? Major flashback to the Hyunjin & Dabit talk. I wanted off the train, the second I saw HM's expression change after YJ arrived. It was as if the production was testing plans for a more westernized season 4 and episode 14 was the focus group. MK & MS's "day one" date was charming, but also unnecessary. Just give me some polaroids before the end credits, and I'll figure out the rest. The production should know by now, that their "fandom" can't handle an episode 14 well. They did HM and YJ dirty. People are all over cast members' IG comments with their troll assessments, while half of episode 13 is the men joking around, hugging and crying. The throuple would not be and Hwi loved someone with all his might (dramatic, but I teared up) and lost, yet here they are taking photos of each other on the couch, but your takeaway is still, that JS is a red flag and SM uses people. Huh? I'm disappointed in some production choices too (that daily love luck thingy really went nowhere fast), but mostly in the viewers. These people live and breathe media but can't grasp that what's shown is heavily edited and not a linear representation of time in that house. A week: then. Over a year later: now. How does that not connect? This season made me want to follow the cast on IG for a few weeks to see, how everyone was doing, but reading similar apologetic posts from all of them, asking to be treated with kindness immediately ruined that plan. My takeaway is, that too many viewers wanted a structured BL, a Junseongho 2.0, and JS & SM didn't check all the boxes on the "perfect ship" list. "Not cute enough. Sorry." The audacity to write "they didn't have chemistry" or "Seongmin isn't even hot, where's the attraction"? Hwi being criticized for wanting comfort from SJ after SM didn't pick him. JS & SM not being included in episode 14. Well, we don't know why, but let's speculate and make it as dark as possible. Don't even get me started on the blindfolded analysis of HM during that cafe scene. These f......dating shows and their Kwangtaes, Seungjins, Jaeseungs and Wonbins.

I don't care what anyone says, this was a pretty great season of television. It had everything you could want from a dating show until the end (and I'm happy that the result is at least one couple and some friendships). I hate that angry people on twitter are harassing contestanst, this is sadly the trend that's happening with every single reality show. :( Like why can't we enjoy just THE DRAMA and the tv characters while letting the real people live their life?

I actually think it's crazy (and I LOVE it), but Jaeseung and Seongmin's chemistry exploded at the end when they chose each other. I had actual butterflies. Good for them haha 😁

So glad to be on the sane side of the internet. I did enjoy this season! It had ups and downs, but also a great group of guys (I wouldn't trade a single man for someone else!) and iconic moments. Even if Hwi and Seongmin didn't end up together. Their first couples of the days in the house were so lovely. MK being my sleeper fav. Falling in love with SJ and head of HR and Gossip Hanmin. But I will say I felt the week this season. It felt so short. I hope they're able to extend the time spent together next season. Hopefully, it'll give the guys more breathing room to explore their feelings with more people. It makes me wonder if the guys (and the audience) would feel better about dating around if there's more time given. There felt like more manufactured drama this season, when I prefer the drama to happen naturally from people interacting with each other. But! I really did have a good time and will happily watch the next season :))

Just between you, me and the berets, imagine my shock at seeing an ig post from a British author saying he was flying to Korea for a date and then posting a photo and it was only flippin’ Hanmin!!!! Good luck to him. I thought it was awful putting them both through that in ep14 when it is so easy for us to find out via social media if end couples (not real couples) decided to make a go of it or not! Even JS and SM said they didn’t start dating until January!! X

Bless the cast. They’ve all been darlings. But the production on the other hand…. I feel like the production meddled too much in this season.. in a bad way. And episode 14 is very unnecessary. Also people are soooo insane… The Hisman people even had to put out a statement saying they would take legal action if more hate was thrown towards the contestants. People have lost their minds.

I seriously can't understand people who write comments full of hatred towards these guys, they are all so precious and kind hearted. I think this show has showcased their feelings very well, it was so stripped down so it made them feel very venerable and on top of everything people judge them without putting themselves in their shoes first, they are just human being like us so I am just so happy they have made the decision to go on the show and to trust us, I hope they won't regret going on the show, they did build beautiful relationships with beautiful people and that's what matters
