yeah moonlight chicken was technically G4's first project together, but My School President was released first, and moonlight chicken started airing and finished airing during when MSP was airing.

To your question about supporting characters in gmmtv. I think there are a lot of actors in gmmtv that are stuck in side character roles for many reasons. If they get a main role kinda depends on how popular their character in their previous show was and also if they were in a pairing as a side couple. Side couple pairings are more likely to get a main role show than actors who are not in a pairing. For My School President, I don’t think gmmtv expected it to blow up as much as it did and the side couple gained a lot of fans and so they were paired in another show together. But most of the other actors in MSP are still playing supporting roles in other shows.

Drake actually was a lead in a show called My Tee/ Cause Your my Boy with GMM alum Frank! It's definitely older style thai bl (outdated) and I would not recommend you watch it lol. We do get to see a very baby Neo and Phuwin, half of PondPhuwin. GMM definitely runs through their newbies for pairs and if their successful they will milk it dry, and if not either try with someone else or doom them to never ending support roles (At least when it comes to bl castings). I just want to be at the table when they discuss these pairings because that conversation has to be wild!!!

Moonlight Chicken was Gems first ever role and it is so crazy how well they both did in it! So fun fact about Gun showing up to the debate in that tank top w/ the bag, it's actually a reference to a Thai meme that was still going around at the time. The Bangkok transport minister Chadchart was spotted walking out of a temple barefoot in a black tank top and shorts w/ a bag of food, and I guess the contrast of someone in a high position looking so casual really tickled the funny bone of the thai internet. I think he already had a reputation as a sort of "man of the people" and this really solidified it, memeing him as the "strongest minister on earth".

Not in all cases. Some pairings in GMMTV started as leads already like Brightwin, OhmNanon, Krissingto, ForceBook, OffGun, while some started out as pairs doing support roles, and then gained attention like TayNew, AuBoom, WinnySatang. As for GemFourth, all I know is this is not their first project as a pair but this was the first one broadcasted. Their first ever project was Midnight Series: Moonlight Chicken but was broadcasted after My School President (MSP).

Drake was a lead back in 2018 with Frank (an ex GMMTV actor) title is Cause You’re My Boy. After that, they got support role as a ship in 2Gether but werent given any follow up project as a pair. Frank left GMMTV and now under another agency. He was a lead for two shows i think but thats it, while Drake continued doing support roles

I think Bad Buddy was filmed first (2021). Moonlight Chicken was filmed before My School President though. They were meant to start filming MLC earlier, but Covid delayed the production. MLC ultimately incorporated much of the post pandemic sentiment into the drama, which helped fuel the plot of survival.

I don't know all the rules, but from my basic understanding there aren't spaces between thai words. You tell when a word ends based off of context from the letters around it (such as whether there are final consonants, vowel pairings, etc.) Words in general aren't any longer than in other languages. Also a lot of the vowel symbols are almost like smaller accessories on the consonant characters which conserves even more space. All of these factors together make it so a number of words take up less physical space on a page.

From simply watching a lot of GMMTV things, I think what I notice is usually when they bring on new cast in a show they kinda gauge the vibe from some of the side characters to see if they get enough hype to become another official lead couple in the future. Although some people seem to be slotted into side character roles from the start. I would really like to see Ford in more lead roles if I am being honest. So it is kind of a toss up as to if side characters actors will become lead actors eventually or not. Also the comment about this being a show that your mom would like...literally washed it together with my mom and she became the biggest FourthGemini fan lol

Not sure if anyone mention Thailand School Star. Not sure many people know GMM has a talent competition and this how they hire a lot of next Gen actors. Fourth was the winner of his year. Satang, Gemini, Ford and others in the cast were also contestants so this gang kind of grew up in GMM together. It's why they can legitamately sing, dance and play instruments. As far as the pairing Fourth got to choose his partner. He chose Gemini. Gemini is a savant in my opion, he plays multiple instruments, sings, writes and dances. He is crazy talented. They just held a competition and have new line up for 2025

it was quite similar for me! i vaguely knew of geminifourth (i think the entirety of bl enjoyers do atp lmao) and i also obviously knew about msp bc it was SO popular like ppl literally called it the bad buddy of 2022 so the hype was real… but it just never really seemed my vibe idk why but it never caught my attention enough to get me to sit down and watch it. the only reason i finally decided to give it a chance was literally geminifourth and how much they blew me away in mlc, i wanted to see more of them and i’m glad i got to check msp out eventually bc it’s actually remarkable and super enjoyable!!

The song they sing at the folk competition is called “Saliva”, it’s a famous Thai rock song. That’s why people were initially booing, it’s the wrong genre but they turned it into a folk song. Another cool thing about the song is the rap part is actually in Issan, not Thai, a dialect spoken in northern Thai. Fourth’s mother is from the Issan region and speaks it, Fourth knows a little Issan too.
