OMG YAY

AvmuN

Yessss

dani b.

The reason they seem so close with their choreographers is because they are their main choreo team and also their main backup dancers! It's a crew called BBTRIPPIN! They actually post demos of ATEEZ's choreo, and I'm pretty sure they also do it for Xiker's choreo too! BBT is incredible

loontan

a 7/11 flauta roll 😭

Nina1110

OMG, y'all should definitely watch Kingdom!!! Legendary War is by far the best one since the performances are amazing!

C

You have one Maltese! The nationality, it’s me! 😂

gi ♡

Happy birthday Wooyoung <3 The warmest little guy in the world. I know you apologised for it but I really appreciate the tangents and I think it's cool to learn more about your perspectives, especially learning that it resembles my own kind of (got into kpop during pandemic lockdowns, only really coped because of kpop and Ateez), so I like hearing it sprinkled in. I don't know how much you've dived into b-sides for their earlier stuff but I would love to hear both your thoughts on most of those tracks alongside Pirate King etc being bright tropical pop tracks like Stay that are in the same vein as Wave. Even if it's not a reaction/varieday I also need to know that you've experienced the True big 3 (b-sides) of Take Me Home/Cyberpunk/Utopia!!!

C

As a baby Atiny I had never watched it so this was a fun watchalong! Happy Birthdayyyyy Wooyoung!

xuan軒

YAYYY HAPPY BIRTHDAY WOOYOUNG

nian si

happy wy day

Dan

I’m team all of kingdom bc I’m a behind the scenes kind of gremlin and seeing what goes into each stage heightens the experience imo - and the interactions, specifically between Ateez, skz, and btob are hands down the best part of the show - not to mention there’s a sports day episode You can skip the bits with the score board though for more of an easy breezy viewing experience

atz_to_zzz

After watching Only Friends, it's hard to look at Wooyoung the same because of how much Boston/Neo looks like him!

C

I cannot believe we dont have an Adam reaction to Cyberpunk live tbh

Reid Lava

Yes! I absolutely think you should watch kingdom. If anything it’ll make you love ateez and their performance skills more but I will say just fast forward through the scoring parts cause they spend too much time on it and it doesn’t matter. Also yes to watching the full episodes cause of the interactions between groups and members is so positive and fun

Ariel

kpop is a ✨journey✨ and i have found myself going into a new group with similar preconceptions so i understand you. i’m glad we got ateez as artist of the month so you could see the different sides of the group and the members 🤍

Surya

yeah, KQ runs a tight ship (lol) wrt to choreo and production. The Edenary crew produces all the music, and BBTRIPPIN does all the choreography. It’s why I think KQ has a cohesive identity as a company, and also why the quality of their work is so high

Min

Y'all should definitely watch Kingdom

Lisa M T

I really don't mind long videos with you guys. I'm enjoying learning about you too. Happy Birthday precious Wooyoung!!🥳🥳

Lisa M T

BBTrippin is an amazing teanlm

Ariel

If you have time, watching kingdom in it’s entirety - I highly recommend 🤍

Jesse 😼

His confidence is SO HOT

Jesse 😼

The cheating on BTS thing is so real it took me a full year before I even started to look into other groups

Henna

That wooyoung and park hanbin comparison just changed my life a little i need to step away from this and contemplate some things

hattie1117

Happy Wooyo day! <3 I'm so glad you reacted to this, its a Woo bias/atiny right of passage! I believe he is also the only AOTM to perform his cover live. And never apologise for the tangents!

Ziggy_Zade

Aww love this interlude into Wooyoung's past. I am so shocked San doesn't have his own AOTM yet... hopefully one day. And yes, the scoring/ranking side of Kingdom was incredible awful bs, but it is still worth watching since the performances are really enhanced by the behind the scenes moments (also they have one of the best/funniest sports days I've ever seen). Glad you all are still enjoying Ateez! And appreciated hearing more about the way Adam likes to get into groups- it makes total sense!

Kiara

YESSSSS

Yogurt

Came for the birthday, stayed for the therapy sesh

nobody

hope you can react to ATEEZ(에이티즈) 산 'Warriors' Performance Video Behind from San

Kiara

I watched Kingdom as it was airing and I am on the side that recommends watching Kingdom performances but not the show itself bc it was garbage lmao. The performances themselves are all incredible and I love it so much but the show itself bubbled up so much nasty energy between fandoms and it was not a great time for ATEEZ and Atiny for that reason tbh. Even the members seem to have of a thing about it. The only episode I recommend watching in full is the sports day episode! It’s sooo fun and cute to see the groups team up together.

Shmatreflon

Wooyoung's two-tone hair goes OFF during Kingdom.

Candice Blair

My favs will never win. They don't have enough fans. :( I wish Xdinary Heroes, Nexz, or ILLIT could win.

ayaerika

43:08 no pleeeeeease watch both the road to kingdom and kingdom shows :(((( I've been waiting for so long especially for the one that finished airing recently :(( idk where to request for it tho

boop

yes i think with bts its so easy to get into the mindset of a protector or just basically shut yourself out. the whole "if i distance myself then they can't affect me" mindset. which makes total sense but can become toxic or hard to snap out of if you are a new fan. especially bc bts' lore is soo big that its easy to just get sucked into that.

boop

which also on the note about dopamine, i so relate bc I truly think if you look back, bts kinda was the "trendsetter" with their bangtan bombs and copious amount of content of them being real ppl (and also a lot of other things but thats a whole other essay) that when I came across other groups they all fell kind of flat to me bc I found them lacking real personalities? NOT a read, but just when you get into bts, you get so sucked in and then you learn about their sad origin story, their extensive lore-both irl and also their music- and you can't help but feel like wow they had it rough, but are soo good, so kind and funny and yet ppl are so mean to them that you immediately get so defensive of ur source of dopamine. ESPECIALLY if you get into them during the era where a lot of newer stans just DOGPILED on them which is when I'm guessing Adam found out about them

purely.tired

Yes! This is exactly it! The performances and sports day are the main things to watch!

michi

KQ actually has both an in-house production team—EDENARY and an in-house coreography/dance crew—BBTrippin. Between those teams and ATEEZ themselves it’s how all their songs and performances get made! They do collab with other producers and choreographers as well but it’s mainly the in-house teams that make up the bulk of ATEEZ’s discography and concepts. So as you can probably tell by this video the boys and the teams are all very close and it makes for a pretty open creative process!

mssmercedes

happy birthday Woo Young! I definitely think you guys would enjoy watching all of Kingdom. performances are one thing of course but that misses the magic of the interactions between these groups which was one of the best parts of the show. I'm planning to move a Tier up soon so hopefully I'll see how shows get on to the poll.

Rachel

Happy birthday, Wooyoung! When I think of a teeth-forward performer (and one that reminds me a lot of Wooyoung in performance quality) it has to be our beloved Park Hanbin.

kat

i hope i'm not the only one, but i don't think kingdom is worth watching in it's entirety :-/ like great performances great gowns huge budget, but the episodes themselves are kinda tedious to watch (personally i think because of the show's overall concept). but as i said, great performances, especially from ateez. you could always pick a performance and it's respective practice behind for an ateez varieday or beloved birthday. the original 2020 road to kingdom however... groups just out of nugudom but not popular with nothing but also everything to lose.. now that's a survival show! (also you get to see baby woongki and seongmin in their old group)

Shaina

Happy Wooyoung day!!!!

Rae Avilez

Omg the lore is loring lol! You guys are such a joy to watch. And K-pop was a similar "life saver" for me. The losses were high around me. My father lost 5 of his siblings as well as their spouses during the pandemic and there was very little in the way of closure as well. Kpop gave me a reason to laugh, smile, and sing again. I'm happy you found them to Adam. My intro was much the same too. My gateway was BTS so I had some reservations about liking other groups. But then I found other army multi and my army only friends were fine with me liking other groups and here we are 4yrs later, I'm up to like 15 groups and Kpop takes all my money lol! Also those choreogrphers n dancers are HWAT!

linds

please consider reacting to woo's cover of logic's 1-800-273-8255 and the short documentary behind it. it shows a completely different side to him and is really special

Daphne James

Literally just watched the videos of the performances. For me I’m a baby Atiny but the things I heard saw of the treatment of Ateez and Atiny, I can’t stomach to watch the series. It was bad enough Mingi was not there. Hongjoong doesn’t watch it back, San lost a grandparent and still performed, the little to no sleep. 😭😭😭

Jothemonster

In case it's important : Seungwhan of ATBO is also a Jeong/Jung

Jothemonster

Thank you for those confessions ! I love the way Adam explains the mechanisms of being in a dark place and finding Kpop even though it's manufactured etc. Because same. When we know how SK is, how ironic is it that I used Kpop as a medium to reflect on mental health, emotional intelligence, neurodivergence, independence, and queer joy. I feel like during my journey with kpop I have been maturing a lot (within kpop but also in general). I am really happy with where I am now, with my nugus and my BLBL hyungs and my fellow berets

marielle

the funny thing about wooyoung in reference to you guys talking about how idols can turn things on that they know fans like - early on in their career wooyoung's position was "sexy performance"

Caroline Beck

I loveeeee all the RJ and Adam lore we learned in this one!!

Savvybrunos

Yeah Ateez does have a little bit of a….sugar in their tank LMAO. But Ateez have shown public support of lgbt+ fans and I’d go as far to say they’re a pretty significant portion of their fanbase. I keep my suspicions to myself but if I’m being serious (no one jump me) I am side-eyeing half of them👀

Lindsay B.

I was just about to watch the show, bc Ive never got around to watching it. What’s you feedback about why it was bad. I don’t want to bother if it sucks

Lindsay B.

Wooyoung has always given me Taehyung vibes, it’s that in between hard and cheeky that they balance so well. And Taehyung dances with his mouth a lot.

Lindsay B.

BTS was the first group I followed and loved, they are still my ult, but I too remember I struggled to be open to loving other groups bc I loved them so much and it felt like cheating, you’re right that strange parasocial. But I have now grown and loved so many other groups and all for the best. I don’t love BTS less, but now I can also show love for other groups too. I’m glad I can be a multi Stan here, social media is a cruel place for Multi’s

Jane Dino

It's not going to be until next year, but I think Wooyoung's section of the documentary Fill in the Next Blank is totally worth a watch (and a channel reaction) for the next birthday. It's super interesting, and I think very heartfelt examination of him as a person.

VeeForinto

came to see all the ateez videos and gotta say i enjoyed myself a lil too much, hehe. Had so much fun watching everything, even if i saw it all before, hehe^^

Joelle

Thank you for sharing your thoughts and experiences about opening up to more groups.

Oh Kpop journeys. I was fortunate to have a Filipino friend in high school. So when Gangnam style came out she made me react to it and I didn’t get it. But that was the gateway drug. I was introduced to all the major 2nd gen Kpop groups and was a VIP and Black jack cuz my friend was but I liked SNSD more. Almost got into Shine and liked Exo too. I was always a multi but I didn’t get swept in all of it. It was just a thing my friend and I did. Collage came and we fall apart so I just dropped the whole Kpop thing for years. Got back into it one day just being like ‘ did I even like that or was I just following my friend?” And in getting back I discovered BTS ( man I remember watching the Wings video and thinking nah, they are too pretty). It was that era. 2017 . .. BTS was the first group that made me really listen and care about Kpop the way I do Western music. Like the lyrics and intensions, before it was just visuals and cute but ai really followed BTS’s journey. I got into seventeen too but not as deeply. I resisted Ateez so much but was also craving a new group. I got into them in just last year. It was hard cuz there are a lot of comparison between them and BTS and my Army heart would get defensive but I love them! They have their own colors and honestly WOSAN helped me just get into ATEEZ more. Now they are my most played artist. It takes a while but then one band does sneak in there and you get to enjoy learning about them. I have been resisting the new groups and new gens. I gotta open up more and just listen. We shall see!

aliofthe grace

This is one of my favorite kpop video of yours as I love how you both lets us know how you stan a group and the process that you go through. As I'm a STAY and I got in to kpop when Kingdom first aired. i loved the interaction between Mayfly (Ateez,BtoB,Stray kids) but at the time I was so new to kpop and trying just to get though all the Stray Kids content was a lot. So thank you for reacting to Kingdom three years later and doing ( Beloved of the Month) it's allowed me to get in to Ateez and The Boyz in away that I wouldn't have thought of my self. I think I'm the same as Adam in how I Stan a group that I need the whole Story not just a snapshot.

Anazitar

Yes this!!! As well as the logic mv

Amanda

As someone who's been into K-Pop since 2008/2009, BTS 100% changed the way fandoms talk about, interact with, and show support for idol groups. And, the very "online" aspects of K-Pop took a lot of those notes and applied them across the board. There were definitely people who stanned groups from one company (usually one of the big 3), or people who only listened to girl groups or boy groups, but I definitely saw more people gravitating to supporting a single group with BTS.
