you reading this episode was killing me because i felt the exact same way LOLLL. Love winny and satang both dearly but I agree that soundwin didn't do anything for me as a pairing and I remember being a little confused about people liking them better than tinngun, but we all have our own taste! with that being said i need gemini to sing in every role he's given I'm obsessed with his voice

I do think Win is a weaker actor than Satang( he gets better though thank god, although not in this show lol) But more than them as a side couple being boring this whole episode is very fillery. I'm placing the blame at the feet of the P'Yacht plotline, because later in the show I don't mind them much.

It’s funny you say they weren’t setting up Win to be in a romantic plot, because in the original version Sound supposed to be interested in Gun. Edit: “Hook” is the song Gemini sings and it uses lyrics from different famous Thai love songs. Edit: Also you reminded me how torturous it was to wait for their first kiss. They teased so much. 🤣

Okay, I LOVE My School President, but I could not agree more with Adam on everything about SoundWin. It seemed everyone liked them, but I don't see it. The chemistry's not there, and as sweet as Winny is, he's just not the best actor. I really tried to like them, though. I'm just happy to know I'm not alone!

I was blown away by Gemini's voice in this episode he's actually so good. I find it funny that his character is suppose to not have any knowledge about music when actually he can sing, play guitar, bass, drums, and piano he's super musically inclined.

i really thought i may just not like winny and satang as a pairing but then We Are happened and they were amazing there...so i think soundwin is just not intresting especially next to tinngun

I thought I was going crazy when this show aired and everyone loved SoundWin so much but I thought they had no chemistry. Glad I'm not the only one!

I totally skipped all the Soundwin scenes starting w this episode bec I also was not feeling them (& I skipped over a lot of this episode too). To be fair to Win though he's more compelling in We Are where he plays a grouchy character that suits him. Also I'm beginning to think Gemini & Fourth have something in their contracts limiting skinship which honestly I think is great for them bec they were both so young when they filmed this but sucks for us

2 things since the show is a love letter to BL think of paying homage to every almost kiss. Some of them you can trace back to the show they are mimicking. It really is for those who have like way to much BL history knowledge. I was so amused with every almost kiss LOL. They really are embracing every trope that BL usually gets picked on for. Also WinnySatang I will say is an acquired taste. They were pretty polarizing when the show aired so you were not alone in how you felt. I think Winny will redeem himself before the series ends. He has a couple of really strong scenes coming. I also agree with the comment I loved them in We Are and I am crazy excited for them to get a new series. Let's just say this JoJo who directed Only Friends and is currently directing The Heart Killers hand picks his actors based on talent and potential. He is directing their new series so it's a huge compliment to them. This series got them noticed but We Are blew them up. We Are got huge ratings and they were a fan favorite. I loved We Are but I think it's also an acquired tastes I get why it isn't everyone's cup of tea.

I'm back to yap again lol, but thinking more about it I think soundwin could've worked better if 1) they (especially win) were given more compelling and nuanced characters writing wise and 2) they weren't in the same story as tinn and gun, because like adam said they're both facing the same conflict of being restricted by the rules which opens up inevitable comparison between them, which also does them no favours because gemini and fourth were given more to work with and IMO have much stronger acting individually and chemistry together (ofc this could've changed in winnysatang's future projects but at this point...the difference is glaring lol)

I do think people liked that SoundWin wasn't typical BL. I don't know that it was executed the best although they gradually grow on me throughout the series. I think they were trying to give something that actually wasn't like TinGun because TinGun was so so sweet and crazy in love. Where this was supposed to be as Sound said a tough kind of love. The opposite of butterflies. More angsty and rough around the edges. I can see what they were going for and trying to speak to an audiences that wants an alternative to super sweet BL or traumatic BL just more awkward and arguing but we still love each other kind of vibe.

i agree that the win & sound relationship is significantly weaker compated to the tinn & gun plotline, but i am glad that i had actually watched another series (we are the series) with those actors (winnysatang) before watching MSP. bc it definitely made me more onboard with them than if i had came in cold like you guys have.

I think the biggest issues with MSP is that TinnGun and SoundWin are all playing pre-sexual / pre-romantic characters at different stages of understanding their romantic desires and expressions. Tinn is sure of himself prior to the show starting. Gun is making the connections to his own sexuality as he gets closer to Tinn. Sound doesn't seem to make friends easily because he has a somewhat famous profile, and is suddenly being included in this friend group and realising he can be happy. Part of that happiness is coming from Win who has been showing him kindness in a way he likely hasn't experienced previously. And up to this episode, Win hasn't felt romantic butterflies for anyone. He has been one of the most vocal opponents to any romantic relationships for anyone. Based on their conversation after the concert, I would say Win seems to being portrayed as either demisexual, or just a late bloomer. I think this is why the pairing feels uneven - Sound is acknowledging his feelings and wanting to explore it, but Win hasn't reached that point yet. Win needs to be wooed in order to feel that attraction. Their story should shift gears now that they have had a conversation about what they need.

Not saying Winny can’t act at all, maybe in other scenes he’s ok (especially in the later episodes) but he genuinely just can’t act like he’s interested in a guy (Satang) which defeats the whole purpose of this LOL

i love that no matter how much money gmmtv makes they refuse to hire quality sound editors and script writers. Annually they produce one show that has both, rest of the shows are done by interns lol

from a person that worships this show like a maniac, I personally hate SoundWin. I love SatangWinny and their characters from We Are but SoundWin was a disaster in my opinion. From a person that watched this show at least 30 times, I skipped soundwin moments everytime. 😅

I stand by my opinion that I wish they had made Mark and Ford the second couple. They have barely any 1-on-1, but when they’re together I still buy it more. SoundWin as a couple just doesn’t do anything for me.

I have seen so many unhinged shirts in Thai bls (sometimes I miss plot and have to go back because I’m so focused on what's written on the shirt), but mark's bride one takes the (wedding)cake for sure. Where the hell did they get that from? Also speaking of unhinged shirts: Bad buddy was indeed taken from us. Gmmtv took it off YouTube as a part of their quest to make than on the straightest man in the company 😭

I absolutely love SoundWin but I also know they are an acquired taste. It's hard for me to comment on them more because I have now seen the whole show, "sequel", their concert and We Are so remembering how I got into them in the beginning is basically impossible!

I didn't really get the winnysatang hype from this show, but i understood it after watching We Are. I think they fit those characters way more. The main couple is PondPhuwin but I really recommend it for a light hearted comedy!
