At the end, I don't know why they translated it by "Jaemin, I'm very drunk... can you come pick me up?", because he doesn't say his name. He says "Hyung" so he (probably) did mean to call Soohyun.

It's not explained in the show, but the reason they met in a church and the reason Jaemin has Soohyun mom's phone number is because their families went to the same church.

to answer why the 'contract' flashback is in a church if i remember correctly in the webtoon both suhyeon and jaemin's families attend the same church so its a callback to the webtoon but even without that context theres something so interesting about suhyeon and jaemin making such a twisted deal in a church very making a deal with the devil esque

Without giving any spoilers, when I watched the show I couldn't make much sense of jaemin's actions or understand his logic, but then I read somewhere that religion has a much bigger role in the webtoon and that really made me understand a lot of characters' choices. I wish this aspect was as present in the show outside of the church scene, bc im a sucker for queer media that talks about religious guilt and sin (thank you, lee taemin) and in retrospect I feel it's an aspect that would complete a viewer's understanding of both jaemin and soohyun's characters.

I'm telling you, they put crack into this show. I feel so amped up during every episode! And so much to unpack. It’s so clever that Daon and Seonghyeon’s confession are paralleling each other. They BOTH say they shouldn’t have confessed and while Daon continues to feel guilty for ruining everything (based on what Jaemin said), Seonghyeon’s grandma tells him it’s not wrong to get your feelings out! She also says something about timing, which is also a huge theme for these characters. (also Seonghyeon is probably my favorite love interest in BL this year). AND upon this rewatch, I'm realizing how much dialogue is reused between them all. When Jaemin and Soohyun first meet again, Soohyun jokes to Jaemin that they should get back together, but Jaemin says “don’t say things you don’t mean” (which makes sense now knowing it was always fake). THEN, 7 years ago, Daon tells Soohyun he hopes him and Jaemin stay together for a long time, but Soohyun cuts him off with “don’t say things you don’t mean”. I love it. This show makes me crazy!

Jaemin found out that when he hurts Daon he can be the one to collect the pieces afterwards, that's his method of keeping him around, making Daon intoxicated with him. It's been working for the past 11 years, insane. I have been saying Junseo is deadass gorgeous back when 1the9 was still promoting, I am so happy people are appreciating his beauty these days

Side note: I really like this filming angle, the focus is so much cleaner and I like the depth of the room instead of hitting into the wall. Also, the camera/lighting/filter/whatever is crisp as hell.

11:15...Today, I randomly googled couple people's birthdays and realized Jungwoo (Soohyun) is younger than EJ,Nicholas, Cha Woongki, and Jay (Enhypen). Feels disoreanting as a late 02 liner myself, but kinda made sense when I watched a couple of the cast's videos.

I remember watching this episode and gasping out loud “oh no!!” When they revealed that Jaemin had setup that whole situation with Daon. I just felt bad for him for being fooled by Jaemin. Soohyun is so toxic but I absolutely feel for him too.

I'm still not sure about this. By this time Jaemin had already been sowing the seeds to manipulate Daon against Suhyeon so I think he did mean to call Jaemin. Also the way it was shown on the phone Suhyeon was first and Jaemin second in the call history. To me it looked like Daon's finger went to press the second one but I think he pressed Suhyeon by mistake. I think Jaemin was expecting Daon to call him and Suhyeon being there wasn't supposed to happen.

I have been marinating these episodes in my brain since yesterday and now, I'm wondering if Daon calling Soohyun was against Jaemin's plans. I wonder if Jaemin wanted Daon to call him, so he could be the hero and make Daon even MORE indebted to him bc that seems to be what Jaemin wants. But when what happened, happened Jaemin used that opportunity against Soohyun to further isolate Daon... just some stray thoughts.

I’m watching this for the first time with you guys so I’m unsure of everything, but remember Da-On mainly hates Soohyun because Jaemin has painted him as an abuser, and after he went off on that guy…Soohyun has been put in a corner by Jaemin, who I think is evil as shit. oh my God, when he said Jaemin’s name during the kiss…it sent physical pain through my chest. Rewatching this show with you is so fun, I can’t 😅 The quadrilateral (or correct “tetragon”?) in this story is CRAZY MESS, but honesty it the way better in webtoon! I’m personally love Daon and Soohyun, especially in university flashbacks (they was cut outrageous), but it this adaptation I really don’t like Soohyun, he look more aggressive and obsessed (in a bad way) than in webtoon
