SHADOWTV

First to comment, just 4 minutes after release!!I'm that into these reactions..😂😂😂

ash☆

ooh i like the bigger screen

GGatiny

I'm so scared!

Kimani Etoria

This show was great but i would rather watch them being a throuple

우영팬

Maybe Im just not into those types but jaemin and soohyun were so toxic it just turned me off. Maybe if they were a little more green I could imagine a throuple...but for now I only root for our golden retriever 😊❤️

Jaden

I loved how they were able to show all 3 characters love for Daon through the rings they gave him: SOOHYUN: THE RING WAS TOO BIG Showing that his love was overwhelming and excessive. He was letting it consume him. JAEMIN: THE RING WAS TOO TIGHT Showing his love was forced and limited. It wasn’t able to grow once it hit a certain point. SEONGHYEON: THE RING FIT PERFECTLY Showing his love was supportive, understanding and accepting. It wasn’t too overwhelming or too lacking. His love was just right. Perfect.

Yemidotcom

This was literally me and a few others in RJs chat back when the show came out lmaooo

bananabel

Not me watching this right after listening to this weeks MFM 💀 I've returned to them recently (after they cut ties with Amazon - they've been as open as they can about how that was a monumentally crappy decision), and its definitely got most of the old magic back. It's been like catching up with an old friend.

gina

according to hoyoung (jaemin’s actor) the reason why jaemin rejected daon at the beginning was because daon lied about being contacted by suhyeon when he asked the night before (tldr; jaemin was convinced that daon still likes suhyeon)

Auburn

I've enjoyed these reactions and recaps so much! Thank you for stressing out for our entertainment 😂 I'm definitely going to rewatch these videos over and over again, whenever I miss this show. I would get home from work and immediately watch, so I wouldn't get spoiled. Then, go back to work and report what happened to my coworkers. I hadn't had that much fun in a while. Thanks again!

howltthew

34:30 finally heard changsub's ost on this drama hahahahaha on EP 7.

Auburn

The way I was screaming NOT THE PRESENTATION. I LOSE it over this f-ing presentation every time. Probably the goofiest part of the show. I wish this show had more time! I can't believe we never had a grandma scene with Daon. I would've also loved at least one scene where Jaemin and Seonghyeon interacted. But overall, it's in my top three BLs this year. I can't get over the acting and the chemistry between all the actors. A true thrill ride! I'm gonna miss my soap!

Anna

okay folks bear with me, Da-on looks a little big like Pingu...

Auburn

Upon this rewatch, I'm realizing Jaemin changed Daon into a black suit for their wedding. He's so crazy, I love him. And! I also realized, the last epilogue scene was used in the montage explaining Daon's miserable life in the first episode. Jaemin's also wearing his wedding outfit in the beginning too. Again. I wanna see the production planning. One of my favorite scenes has to be Jaemin's last scene with Soohyun. (Not only because Jaemin's actor is incredible), but I'm pretty sure, during one of their evil discussions, one of them said something along the lines of "we'll see who's the stupid one in the end". Then, there's Jaemin cackling and calling Soohyun the idiot is so satisfying. And he was right, Soohyun never realized why Jaemin asked for that contract. Again, if you play stupid games, you win stupid prizes.

Auburn

Yess. Daon also said something about "always" liking him, but Jaemin knows that's not true

gina

i don’t think any other country does voicemails like the US does lmfao

Jongho’s Purple Hair

Wait, does the ending mean that Sunghyun actually met Daon first?? Because that would be lovely. But yeah, this show has been stressful but so good!!!

Auburn

Oh! And Jaemin quitting his job and packing up his life really unsettled me, so I knew he was the kidnapper. Him "putting his affairs in order" actually reminded me of some people who commit suicide, after they clean their house, do laundry, and etc. I wonder if that was on purpose.

Nathan

Junseo ate this role UP, honestly, I believed every second. I need him on another project ASAP! After an ot6 WEi comeback of course. BTW I desperately need everyone here to positively consider WEi for BOTM. I'm so serious. He's so hot when he's in his element with his group and government assigned ship PLEASE!! Just look up WEi Junseo gym vlog

Brittney Koza

Not RJ and Adam casually dropping the SSDGM!

우영팬

Yep! He met him 1st 🤭

gina

unpopular opinion and this might be biased but soohyun was my mvp for episode 8, his last scene with daon really hit me hard like… damn that was really a man who was stuck in 7 years ago and finally came to his senses in the last moment (7 years too late) and it was cha jungwoo's first acting role?? he's crazy for this actually (not to mention the police station scene with hoyoung)

Lynn Pratt

The thing that pisses me off about the most about the whole forum post thing is the hypocrisy of everyone being perfectly happy to work for the CEO's son as their director despite knowing nothing about him or his skills, while shunning Daon for getting the job through a connection from college (which they can't even prove) despite him having more than proven that he's an excellent coworker they all praised (when they thought he was rich, of course). Korean corporations are fueled by nepotism, they all should be fully aware of that. Not that American businesses are any better, but I think I would turn into a full-blown anarchist if I had to work in a Korean office job.

alyssa

the twist of sunghyun actually being the first person to meet daon is so good like that actually gagged me

Lynn Pratt

Going to that presentation after being kidnapped and your boyfie/colleague got stabbed for you, while still covered in blood, is truly the most wild part of this entire show.

daze_daisy

I wouldn’t have watched the show without you reacting to it and I still don‘t think it‘s a bl for me, but your reaction had me laughing out loud so many times today + the new layout is great!!

gina

as soon as I saw the chess board still set up after being knocked over the day before when jaemin called daon saying he was "leaving", i just KNEW he was up to no good and was gonna commit one final act before trying to k*ll himself so the kidnapping was not shocking to me

phree

for all the nasties watching this, they actually released a whole six minute youtube video of the bts of all three kiss scenes between sunghyun and daon if u cant get enough of them

Lisa M T

Mee mee✋️ I am one of those nasties!! 😉😉

Ziggy_Zade

Yayyyy thanks for making the videos bigger- and we can still see you great!!

George L

Jaemin can't complain that Daon ended up with Seonghyeon. He said the person who met Daon first should be at his side after all! I agree with you that Soohyun's parents aren't to blame for his behaviour - he seemed perfectly nice when he first met Daon and he was at college by then! Don't get me wrong, they seem pretty awful because they listened to what Jaemin told them and reacted terribly by sending SH away and by trying to force him into marriage, but perhaps getting some therapy might have been a better way of dealing with things than shouting at everyone and acting menacingly (perhaps not so good for the thriller plot line though).

Jasmine

I know it was a sad scene but you guys being gagged and walking off when SungHyeon got stabbed had me cackling. I also have to agree that the acting ATE on this show especially Jaemin this episode. I said it in the last recap but I need another series with the actors that played Jaemin and SuHyeon and it better be MESSY 🙏

mssmercedes

I'm so glad you guys caught the Goldilocks and the three rings of it all. I felt like Sherlock Holmes when I noticed that somehow lmao I think we definitely got the best ending we could have hoped for. Although I am surprised no one died. Daon getting his happiness was a nice surprise cuz it was looking grim for a moment there. A quick reflection on my problematic fave Soohyun. His actions were pretty much just as unforgivable as Jaemin's (at least up until the kidnapping part) but I do feel a little bad for what could have been if Jaemin hadn't interfered since they did mutually like each other back in college. It really hits home when Jaemin calls him an idiot for making that deal back then cuz to this day he never knew that he really had a chance with Da-on (probably for the best since that would likely send him into a complete spiral). I agree I don't think you can blame his parents because he was not the jerk he is today even back in college. The show really wants you to believe that losing out on a relationship with Da-on is what made him obsessed and crazy. Although to go that far off the deep end I have to imagine that even if they did get together those kind of traits don't just come out from nowhere so I don't know if that relationship would have ended well anyways.

Vick

daon going to present covered in blood reminds me of that one scene in the movie whiplash when the guy gets in a car wreck and still goes to perform

Ms. T

Adammmm. Recently saw a very similar jumper to the one you liked. It’s not the exact colour… but here: https://bycastello.com/products/castello-100-kasjmir-genser-2?variant=49598911709532&country=GB&currency=GBP&utm_medium=product_sync&utm_source=google&utm_content=sag_organic&utm_campaign=sag_organic&utm_campaign=22313579689&utm_ad_group=&utm_ad=&utm_source=google&tw_source=google&tw_adid=&tw_campaign=22313579689&gad_source=1&gbraid=0AAAAA-VBBG7iMEkTIR6N8po-V-OkFNoxR&gclid=Cj0KCQjwt8zABhDKARIsAHXuD7YkWCyonNZdU4lhrGi-cTD9nFa4RCtU7HKZQOpHIzvVkSpfDqPceyQaAhI8EALw_wcB

Lisa M T

I really expected someone to die. Thrilled it wasn't Sunghyeon. The four of them were amazing in this, but the guys playing Jaemin and Soohyun were incredible. Villains are always more interesting.

Ms. T

Also. Was that our first double walk out? Feels like we should be celebrating

Jasmine

Professional priorities 😅

Jasmine

He killed it in that scene with DaOn when he “let him go” for real. I also read somewhere that the actor felt like crying during that scene but the director said the character wouldn’t in that moment. I think the restrained sadness and subtle teary eyes were perfect and he pulled it off so well. This character really got under my skin but also in my feels and it was the best combination.

Jasmine

Jaemin didn’t fool me for one second that he was “done”. His dramatic self quitting his job and moving out all pointed to him being up to something nefarious.

wen

jaemin manically laughing as he taunts soohyun saying he'll never know why he chose to do the contract with him... oh this scene will always be famous to me. it's also crazy that jaemin got beneath his skin even till the end; him telling daon he doesn't deserve to stay by his side because he froze up when jaemin tried to stab him as if that wasn't the only scene where he's not at fault for anything 😭 anyways i can't wait for gelboys and i hope one day u guys can get around to lftcot!

gina

💯 jungwoo managed to convey so much of suhyeon’s emotions in just one minute and —while i don’t think they should’ve gotten together in the present— made me genuinely sad for the star crossed suhyeon and daon of the past.

gina

the way i reacted the exact same way as you guys when sunghyeon got stabbed because before the ep i predicted that suhyeon would die from protecting daon (to redeem his character) and that jaemin would k*ll himself in the end 😭 i really thought that both of them would die and sunghyeon and daon would live happily ever after… i was definitely not thinking about the movie magic of people being able to survive near death experiences oops…

Maritza Islas

Not you both making me yawn through the screen lol

Auburn

100% Man's not stabbing himself over you one second and giving up the next 😅

Maritza Islas

IDK how true this is but my best friend read the manwha and she kept up with the show online as it aired. She mentioned that when the actors were asked who they wanted Da-on to end up with they said Soohyun... Which BLEW. MY MIND... Because WHAT DO YOU MEAN?! Like yes, he was manipulated by Jaemin... BUT that doesnt negate that fact that he's still a shitty person.

SUEMEEI

The best ASMR 🥰

SUEMEEI

I actually would have loved if the show ended with Jaemin plotting in his cell 😎Just for the suspense

Jasmine

What I wouldn't give for a BL of them back in the college days. We can still have some angst but that cute scene in the library left me wanting more 😭

Jasmine

This. Even Suhyeon wasn't buying it. He said..what is this mf up to?? 🤨

박 사 랑

And Dabbit saw that Jaemin wedding scene and said ‘ it shoulda been me!’ Lol

avr

Now I'm not saying polyamory would have fixed them, but that Christmas scene in the cabin... if only they weren't three idiots. As it stands, I'm happy Daon gets to be with Seonghyeon without having to worry about the other two, but I still think about what could've been... oftentimes when a show has a love triangle, I'm the girl writing dissertations about their possible dynamic as a throuple. If the industry ever gives us a polyamorous show I will be seated! Also, I would eat up a BL with the premise of two characters doing Soohyun and Jaemin's stupid agreement and then falling for each other.

João (ffmnc17)

"No dead eye fish kisses here" The Doors CityBoy Log has opened, truly.

Alexandria Shannon

why is jaemin saying idiot so addicting i watched it like 4 times

Diego B

The anxiety y'all were experiencing during the Daon kidnapping and hostage crisis reminded me of the research study that used acetaminophen to ease the discomfort of individuals watching a clip of a David Lynch film. Maybe next time, y'all could take some acetaminophen to help lol

Jasmine

This and for some reason the way he pronounces DaOn’s name.

Jasmine

that’s loyalty right there! 😅

I_KPOP_Fan (Ry_Noona)

Thank you Changsub, for that gorgeous OST. I’ve watched this show like 3 times now. It’s so good. The actors completely chewed their scenes. Give them Oscars. All of them. And it being a first role or first main role for all but Hoyoung (Jaemin)? Amazing

Kendall Rian

"this is just how rj did it to me, this is exactly how rj proposed" oh! (the crowd says with concern)

REN 🌈

IDK, Soohyun went double platinum in my head ugh he’s so hot and a little crazy but not tew much.

moreta505

lmaooo not Adam and me starting to sing Somewhere at the same time

Mari

Gentlemen please PLEASE watch Top Form this year. It’s so well done and meta — there’s so much to critique from a production standpoint.

Aras Paty

This show is unhinged..I love it.

Sarah Grace

Korea better give us that bl throuple someday. I think we have waited long enough

stephanie44

most korean bls since 2022/2023 have good kisses now. thought sometiems dead eye kisses still happen sometimes, (also in straight korean dramas)

Justin N

I fully broke down into tears at the last scene 😭 Jaemin claiming that he had claim over daon cause he met him first, but it was always Seonghyeon. I WAS SOBBING

gina

adding on to the relationship hypothetical, i also don't think that it would've lasted from a 'suhyeon is a chaebol with parents that expect things from him' perspective either. seeing as his mum asked suhyeon "are you still meeting that person", it kinda hints at his family's (/mum's) knowledge and disapproval of daon already. jaemin was probably aware of this, hence him weaponising the circumstances surrounding suhyeon's family to his advantage and probably instigating those conflicts early (with my theory of jaemin having plotted to have suhyeon save daon and get in trouble for beating the guy up to send him away) if this makes sense...

Hao

I've read the manhwa and it's waaay different from the series, special the final.Although I like both I think I prefer the manhwa I think they gave jaemin what he deserved and made me like soohyun more than how they make him in the series. But, I loved the soup opera that was the series and this final episode hahahahah 🤣🤣I can't with that dump presentation. Love your reaction & recaps 🫶❤️

❣️ Vladlena ❣️

In manhwa I was really rooting for Soohyun and Damon 😅 In show I hate his character, he is too aggressive, but in manhwa we see his another side more in uni flashbacks

❣️ Vladlena ❣️

Performing at a presentation after being kidnapped and watched your lover being stabbed is seriously the craziest thing about this show 😅 Work culture in Korea is really freaking INSANE!!!

aerifia

not the my favorite murder reference!!

Pond’sPhuphu

I knew you were loosing it when RJ wouldn’t stop talking and come up with predictions HAHAHAHAHA cuz he usually never does that 😭😂

M

Have you guys watched "Let Free the Curse of Taekwondo" ? If not you totally should. It's one of the top korean BL's for me.

Tesa

just binged all the episodes and oh my god what a crazy show! so many levels of insane and unbelievable (like giving the presentation covered in blood lmao) you can tell it was adapted from a webtoon. but it was so much fun - i was absolutely hooked!! although tbh i don't know if i would have enjoyed it as much if not for your reactions :)

Pond’sPhuphu

HE’S GOING TO BE ON BOYS PLANET 2!!!!

Louise 787

All of the characters should go to therapy...Well, Jaemin should go to prison and asylum) Have you considered to watch Weak hero class 1? I waaaant to see your reaction to it!

Jesse 😼

"He's 30" really got me

erty

the thing that realy doesnt fit into my head about nepotism hire storyline is: Soo-hyun is. (Jae-min also, if i got it righ.) If he is a "hire" per se, but either way he is director of the company solely because it's his dad's company, and that's like, "just how things are" in people's eyes, i guess. maybe i'm missing some story points again, but, Da-on worked at the company longer than Soo-hyun - at this one brunch anyway; its (wrongly) assumed from the start that he is rich, meaning (and this part is true) that he probably got these job because he used all blessings he had to get into and finish a prestigious ass university and get some connections there - but that's also "just how things are". which doesnt mean that everybody would be glad about it then it's brought up to their attention that he knows director sice uni, but seems like a rumor-worthy news, not getting asked to resign-worthy. idk, they didnt have a problem with him getting ahead in life with help of his supposedly rich family; but then it turns out that he had to pull himself out of poverty, and he didn't do it all by himself enough - and suddenly we have a problem. it rubs me the wrong way. like he is only getting reprimanded for supposed nepotism because he is not nepo-baby enough, if that makes sense. at this point idk if its about Da-on abusing his supposed privelege, or not staying in his economic lane that is getting this reaction

erty

i dont like the way it resolved in the end seemingly with Jae-min getting assigned an "actual" bad guy and Soo-hyun as a collateral victim. i dont like that we never really find out what prompted Jae-min's behaviour, and that Soo-hyun got no consequence. i don't like then thrillers make perpetrator turn out to be delusional(?) and mentally ill-coded, because mentally ill people are demonised as it is and irl happen to be victims or crimes more often than offenders - and also because its a lame way to explain anything that doesnt make sense in person's behaviour or way of thinking. but i also feel like giving both characters equal treatment storytelling-wise would prevent it from seeming like story is making excuses for Soo-hyun. Jae-min is entitled and insidious, but Soo-hyun is entitled and short-tempered; they both have their damage, i assume, and they have also both schemed and hurt people around them, including comiting actual physial violence. and they are indeed around 30 so, no matter what lead them to this, there should be some accountability at this point. Soo-hyun's big redemption was confessing another crime he was going to commit to Da-on and deciding against doing it - it's pissing me off. And he's still gonna be their director??? He assaulted Sung-hyun, coerced Da-on under a threat and abused his position of power many times just recently ffs. we're supposed to believe he had an epyphany after Da-on almost died and Sung-hyun was even closer to dying (its unclear if Soo-hyun cared about Sung-hyun though), and i can see that happening + him walking off with no consequence is more realistic, but they could do poetic justice or smth, if capital punishment is off the table. It's unsatisfying and unclear if storytellers themselves realise he is still responsible, and it's all just pissing me off.

Amanda

Listen, I'll say it again. Thank GOD for nosey neighbors!
