Personally, I liked that the show's set up gave the directors to chance to pick guys to complete their finale team. The directors probably know more about the guys and how they work with each other, what they can do, etc. more than us viewers do. So its nice that they got to pick a few guys that they either thought deserved to go to the finals or brought something to the team. The downside is there's also a bunch of guys who ranked high but not high enough to be granted an automatic spot and were ultimately eliminated. Also, I'm so happy Changsub picked Gijioong. I've been waiting for this guy to redebut since he competed on The Unit and debuted with UNB. Its unfortunate that he's locked in MBK/Pockedol's dungeons and they haven't really done anything with him in years. He'sn one of my picks for this show even though I know him getting in to the final group is a reach since he did have voice cracks in his first 3 performances here and they barely gave him any backstory. But a girl can dream.

Minors have been in entertainment since the beginning of entertainment. There have been a lot of terrible stories, but also a LOT of people who go on to live good, successful, and happy lives who started as teenagers or children. Think of someone like Jungkook, he loved to sing and that’s all he really wanted to do. And now he’s successful and seemingly well-adjusted. Or IU. Do you think either wish they weren’t entertainers? Or in western terms, there are people like Neil Patrick Harris, Emma Watson, Zendaya, etc. I mean starting in entertainment as minors isn’t an absolutely terrible thing. Dropping everything to try something at 16 that probably won’t work out is a lot smarter than doing that at 23

It's not like this show was built to specifically debut minors (like Undcer15 was) and it's not like the young guys like Daisuke, Sirin, An Yul, Zen Zen are struggling to keep up with the others or don't mesh well with them and stick out like a sore thumb. They've shown to be perfectly capable of handling the missions and performing well on stage. Sure, I'd prefer debuting adults over minors but I also don't think that should be the main focus factor on deciding if someone deserves to debut. Like, I'm sure majority of the people voting or cheering on these guys are doing so because of what they can do and what they can bring to the group, not because of how old they are. Sorry if I'm not explaining this very well. But basically I do think its better for people to debut when they're a bit older but at the same time it also doesn't feel right to block someone who's perfectly capable of keeping up with the rest of the guys and has shown to be able to pull of a good performance, from debuting just because they're not an adult.

You know people keep regurgitating those same claims again and again, probably without even knowing where they came from. In jay park's case I’d lean more towards ignorance than malice. Has he done and said some not so great things? Sure, but to his credit you gotta admit that when he messes up he owns up to it and tries to fix it or at least do better in the future. And isn’t that what we want?

Re: lobbyists. My mom was a lobbyist for the Washington State PTA when I was growing up. So, a lobbyist is someone from a special interest group of some kind that presents their opinions on how legislators should vote based on whatever they think is best for their organization in hopes to influence the legislators action. For my mom, that was advocating for children and for schools. For others, that may be advocating for oil companies or something. Sometimes there may be corruption involved, but not generally.

idk if you guys know this already since you're the resident mac fans, but mac uploaded a vlog after the finale - it's of him going to the finale, some backstage stuff with the other contestants who came to the finale, etc. obviously it wouldn't be good to watch now for spoilers, but i thought it was a fun little video that might be worth keeping in mind for... idk your free time or whatever lol anyway unileague gave me major brain poisoning while it was airing, so i made a spreadsheet of the finalists ages ago. here's some fun facts from it: - as the episode said, sirin and zenzen are the only two to have been on all three teams - dongyun and juwon are the only two who were stolen by another team and then stolen back to their original team - of the 21 finalists, only 5 were bench picks in the initial draft (hanseo, heejun, gijoong, kairi, and yuito). all the rest were starting picks - hanseo is the only one who was on the bench for every round (minus the finale) - no one on rhythm's finale team were ever on the bench - i also determined the layout of how many from each demo song at the beginning got to the finale: 2 from thrill ride, 2 from love shot, 3 from replay, 3 from one and only, 3 from siren, 4 from s-class, and 4 from boomerang personally, i think it's really fascinating that boomerang was the "bad" audition stage, but it's tied for the highest amount of finalists
