2026-09-05 06:00 I know it's a lot of content, but I wish you had also watched the secret gel videos, especially the one were they shoot all night inside the train, and the one that showed PJ and Leon doing their acting workshop together, I think they didn't wanted to show Baabin and Bua together before ep 6, so they didn't included those clips in the documentary. PS. New looked so cute with longer hair and glasses. And now I know why Baabin was always wearing oversized t-shirts with sleeves to the elbow.

30:45 me yelling at my phone "ITS GEMINIFOURTHHHHH"

han

they performed at a 2024 awards show i forget which one

Dana

Yes New looked so much like Hee Doo from Exchange 2!!

Char

what's so cute is PJ's older brother, Jaylerr, has actually been in the thai BL industry/ being in queer shows since he was younger than PJ is in gelboys. Jaylerr actually was the main lead in Spare Me Your Mercy which also aired on IQIYI and finished a few weeks before Gelboys started. Because of this they're actually up against each other for awards.

KJ

I’m politely begging for i promised you the moon next 😭🫶

Auburn

if a tale of thousand stars is next, I will never ask for anything ever again 😭🙏🏻 that's my one pick

Hody🌹🩵

It for sure won't be ThamePo😔 but I hope that at least it will be Moonlight chicken or The Next Prince

Alissa

i've been pulling for moonlight chicken since MSP ended PLEAK....

Button t

Yes please since this made me miss the first season

Button t

This made me miss itsay if ur a completionist u should do the second season.

Button t

Also we gotta stop politely asking or it will never happen

If it was my beautiful mind that'd be succhh a good watch

EmaraAriel

Your thing about Japanese BL perfomers not becoming huge stars isn't entirely true since both leads from My Love Mixup and Cherry Magic are HUGE in Japan (esp the former). Not to mention My Beautiful Man.

CM DaiFan

Leon is from Khon Kaen (well, he moved there from Germany when he was still a child.) Khon Kaen is Thailands fourth largest city. The 2019

CM DaiFan

accidentally pressed "post", sorry.

CM DaiFan

damn -- did it again. Anyway the 2019 BL "Thank God It's Friday" is largely set there. Not all that great except that it starred Pluggy who at the time was one of the three or four most gorgeous human beings on earth.

CM DaiFan

Yes, to an extent -- the stars of My Love Mixup and Ossan's Love were already very well known in Japan. No question, though, that Cherry Magic really boosted the career of Akaso Eiji who played Adachi, But Adam has a point -- even Akaso, who appeared in an NHK asodora (morning drama) two years after CM was filmed, like a seal of approval from the Japanese establishment -- and has starred in some other shows (none as successful as CM) does not have the superstar aura in Japan that actors like Billkin or PP Krit do in Thailand.

EmaraAriel

Also it's pretty standard procedure for Thai shows to have workshops!

Katie Louise

Will you be reacting to Gaku and Hikaru's debut?

Auburn

if y'all could indulge me with more begging 😌 ATOTS is the best EarthMix introduction! the setting/the mountain is so special! The story is well executed while the romance is epic and there's so much delicious yearning. The OST makes me emotional 😭 I just think it's such a special BL. And I'd want to watch is before MC 🙏

daze_daisy

I feel like it‘s time for moonlight chicken

Auburn

we yearnnnn for DVD bonus content. This would be on the special dvd edition and I'd be watching the director's commentary like it was a podcast.

Auburn

also shout out to the Manicure Designer. I'm so happy she got her flowers and I hope that salon has made buckets of money

selizondo

Right before watching this series, I watched Ready Set Love (not a BL) on Netflix. New played a gay character in it, and to this day I'm still in denial they are the same person.

Jennie M

I was literally about to comment about the “senpai” thing right before you said it. It’s such a strange translation!

Hamzamirul97

without you guys, I will never watch the documentary on my own because who has the time to but boy was I glad to have watched this, I did watch the itsay doc since I was so obsessed with it and Boss is really a genius, isn’t he? I am still shocked that you guys settled with ‘syndication’ tier for Gelboys, me when people have opinions other than mine, such a strange concept lol

Chanell

I think they also sang the Love Mix Up song during karaoke on a Boys In Love episode

Clara V.P

well actually ☝🏼🤓those workshops are standard practice in most Thai bls and gls, I've seen them in gmmtv, domundi, etc! I believe it's what makes Thai series different from others, in my uneducated opinion lmao

Arttapuz Guill

Funfact. Pide and Jeff are the final two candidates for The Paradise of Thorns.

Shmatreflon

The VISCERAL reaction my body had when you said "we're gonna go into soft focus" omg 💀
