In the past, with the produce shows, they have always swapped the gender for each season. This is the first time they are not doing that for their survival show. Also, considering that many of the C trainees left the show (not sure if it was confirmed that they were pulled out/dropped out, or whatever), they didn't have a choice but to combine the groups and make it end with only one group instead of two.

"is Eunchae still writing in her diary?' okay so Eunchae's Star Diary has ended (as others have also mentioned) BUT on Le Sserafim's channel they had a cute little segment for a moment called Eunchae's Hobby Diary where she tried out different hobbies. no guests, but it was still really fun! they only did a few episodes, but i'd bet they're leaving the door open to do more when there's time. i really loved it!

i recommend the boynextdoor episode of pink cabinet (chemistry!) and hope you guys check out more illit content, too! i feel extra protective of the girls bc the unwarranted hate and drama last year turned a lot of people against them and in turn, not many people react to them 😞

I did try to warn you to not watch this if you hate sickly sweet couples feeding each other (jk). Hao's saccharine baby voice when feeding Hanbin haunts me, they're one of those couples who talk like this to each other in private huh. and Hao will just pout until he gets his way. the craziest thing is that from different angles you can see he tried to Lady and the Tramp kiss him several times here. Hao was pissed he didn't get to do the pepero game with his man but like you two can do this at home sis, for your own safety pleease. he just doesn't care and I love that for him but it's also funny to see Hanbin in these situations: in shock, having to restrain himself and desperately trying to retain the perfect leader image which doesn't allow him to flirt with his boyfriend this openly in public. I mean he constantly fails at this premise but he does try hard, bless him lol. that's what you get for pulling a chaos twink.

I'm obsessed with getting into the lore of the star diary mid-reaction lolol. i didn't think i'd be into Illit very much because half of my picks didn't make the group but they're one of my favorite ggs! They're very charismatic and they're definitely finding their own sound!

you asked about this in the eunchae star diary video but since you are were figuring out about the mc situation i thought i'd give some info... so basically music bank will have ppl audition to be the new MCs, ever once and a while they get a MC KBS and the public like a lot and when they stop being MC, what music bank does is whenever said MC returns to music bank they will highlight them more either by having them be a special host, have a bit, or do the ending MC bit. Eunchae was like a little baby to the music bank staff so they treated her extra well and gave a show and when she stepped down, they gave her a special episode of star diary AFTER minju became the MC. music bank is also kinda notorious for having a closer relationship with their MCs and treating them better, which is why Soobin and Arin had so much content outside of just MCing the show, like they would be invited to come back, and same with Eunchae and Chaemin, they really clicked and ppl really liked them so they would make opportunities like Chaemin stepping in to host star diary, or a vlog of Eunchae and Chaemin at an award show because music bank knew any sort of interaction or indicator that the two of them were close would really bump up their views. ALSO (last bit) a lot of the times you have an actor as a MC because what they do (not just music bank) is they will audition new faces (or ppl who are about to hit it big) they believe will have a shot at being big in the two major categories of korean media, KPOP and KDramas, like Bogum and Irene. music bank is good at matching MCs together which is why when Sunghoon and Wonyoung were MCs ppl were really dogging on them bc it was kinda the first time music bank failed ....So THE MORE YOU KNOW
