My top 5: Xinlong Zihao Nian Bo Heng SuRen Yunseo (It's his second survival show) What I want more than anything is for Zihao to rise. Boy Story are true JYPE idols. JYPE idols are chaotic, and Zihao is especially the embodiment of chaos. Xinlong is not even phased by his behavior. If anything, maybe another ENVNNE can come out of this.

Tbh, I was a bit thrown off by your preference of Yusen’s vocals over Hengyu’s because I thought it was pretty clear Hengyu had way better technique and it was overall less painful to watch despite him being sick. But I guess we’ll just have to agree to disagree 😅. Also people take the whole Sangwon/Anxin thing way too seriously. I feel like the people who got mad at you guys in the yt comments only heard you mention those two in the same sentence and immediately did not hear the rest of what you guys said and jumped to conclusions. At the end of the day, this is all supposed to be in good fun, you’re not supposed to ship any idols seriously because they are real people who form friendships and bonds with who they want, not who the fans expect. Personally, I don’t think it hurts to talk about certain friendships and aww at them, not all “ships” are there to romance. But there’s a line that needs to be drawn between reality and the delulu fiction world. Reality being again, these are real people we don’t know personally, they will form friendships, brotherhood, romances, rivals, enemies,etc with who they choose to, we should not shove our own fictional ideas and “ships” in their faces.

I honestly didn’t know Sanghyeon existed until they put him on screen with Anxin and Sangwon. I don’t know how I managed to filter out the five minutes the preceded that moment where they mentioned him multiple times and it took me this reaction to figure out what he has done so far in the show. You learn something new every day 🫣 I’m not too mad at the results and the top 8 is pretty okay. I’d switch Liyu and Sanghyeon for Hengyu and Xinlong if I got to pick. And speaking of Xinlong, I’m obsessed with how they matched his hair to his tie! I kinda spoiled myself for the results because the voting was open on mnet+ before the episode was available on Viki so I had some time to brace myself for the pain. It only sorta helped tbh, I’m way too emphatic for this shit.

I hope so, since then C planet trainees won’t be stuck running uphill from the absurd C/K Signal Song cam bias/f*ckery. Wish we got to see that! - The reason why Jun il’s trainee A history is not mentioned is likely because he was a trainee in the group but was not a part of the final line up. So here’s some random stats I found after this elimination: Whiplash Team 1 and SClass Team 1 had everyone survive On the other end, Kill the Romeo Team 2 only Mr Sexy survived. And Rising Sun Team 2 only had Yechan and Dongyun survive. Of the 32 eliminated, 10 were from Planet C and 22 were from Planet K. Though planet K still outnumbers planet C. Also after this elimination, Yichen (1998) is currently the oldest contestant on the show and Kim Taejo (2010) is the youngest. Na Yunseo and Kim Jaehyun are also 2010 but they’re older than Taejo by a few months 😅 Also, not a stat but My current 1 pick is Seowon followed by Yichen then Hengyu.

As the passionate Yoon Min 1pick in y'all's comments, I couldn't let this pass without saying something. The fact that he was universally respected by all the contestants, marked as The Main Rapper in the titles on the Avengers team, but still is so low ranked is a marker of how pointedly he has been edited out of the show by Mnet. For what reason I truly have no idea, other than maybe he just doesn't fit the image they're going for? (looking at a Top 8 full of pretty boys, no slight to their talent, but there's clearly a visual component) The Whiplash performance is the FIRST TIME ANY VIEWERS SAW HIM PERFORM ANYTHING, but he was an All-Star the whole time before that and considered the top rapper of the show. And then he got put in Whiplash, the absolutely most thankless song of all options for rapping. I am just thankful he squeaked through to a round where he can focus on his rap or his vocal, both areas where he excels.

I'm fascinated by Masato and Sanghyeon in the top 8, especially SH at 3rd position. Masato has at least had a storyline, with him tending to lag a bit in practice and working hard to make up, but I don't think either of them have really had an impressive performance so far. The top 8 seems pretty visual-forward. None of the people there are incompetent and some are genuinely good, but they are all the same Type, in terms of looks. Boys Planet 1 seemed like it had more variety, and had more to do with great performances.
