I kinda hate they are sticking with the star system which has literally NO MEANING. because at first it was what the masters gave them (based on skills) + likes (and/or views?) from the fancam. Then it was based on the general voting of round 1. Now it's going to be based on the results of the match up, to just end up being the result of general voting again for round 2. like, if they win the match up and get All Star, it means nothing (except some bonus points), because in the end it's the general voting that decides your ranking, thus your stars. like, wow you went from two star to an all star for a week and then get voted last place and have to leave as a two star...

The HOT 끄거 Team had me cryinggg 😭. It felt like everything that could possibly go wrong in a practice happened there. Honestly, if I were Leejong, I would’ve just started crying on the spot. Bad decision after bad decision (imagine electing the least team oriented candidat in all of Survival show history as your TEAM leader??) and yet the performance still ATE DOWNNN. It’s so funny, like missing every single one of your acrobatics, nearly falling over 60 times, but somehow sticking the landing at the end—and then everyone suddenly cheering like nothing happened. Absolute chaos but iconic

I think it's interesting that the lower ranked three stars were in a really bad position this time. It was also set up to create drama by having the two stars challenge the all stars, but that didn't really happen because the two stars were so spread out. I think the goal might have been to avoid more avenger teams? This is the only season of produce/ were having more than half of the members being top ranks is actively prevented by production

It's really confusing to me as well because all of the other Produce/Chuang shows usually dropped the star or class system after the reranking challenges. Kinda feels like they wanted to have an Iland Ground/Iland class system but even that's not really consistent, especially since the star level is now impacted by fan voting

I'm also not really having a good time with b2p. The main thing pulling me through the episodes is that fact that my irl friends are all watching it with me. I also recently started to just block EVERYONE being negative about trainees or narratives on the show because I do think this season the fans are WAY more mean and just blatantly rude. I'm trying to distance myself from discourse now and just try to watch the show like something I have no stake in. I'm just adjusting my 8 pick lineup every week and then not worrying about it. I really hope this doesn't turn you guys off of survival shows entirely. Staying off socials is a must. People are insane and were very cruel last season. I will never forget how people treated Jay. This is literally the only place I see what people are thinking about the show. I don't even watch the recaps. As an avid SS watcher, I am enjoying the show. The energy of this show is just feels sooo drastically different from the original. I feel like it seems so different for me because of the merging of the planets at the beginning. What’s keeping me from stopping is watching it alongside you guys, catching the recaps, and unfortunately I've gotten attached to a few trainees who have a decent shot, so I don’t want to quit before I see who makes it. Social media around the show is hell, especially X (I rejoined the app for the show and it’s absolutely awful how people talk about the trainees on there), but I do enjoy the Reddit community some. It feels like there's less rudeness there and more thoughtful takes which is way more my vibe.

Likely because they're mostly popular in K spaces than internationally? Lee Hi is a pretty popular singer and Shinees Jonghyun actually worked on Breath so it is very beloved. Rose Blossom went unexpectedly viral in Korean but I never saw international fans talk about it, and most likely don't even know who Hi-Key is. I'm not a huge Seventeen fan and have never heard that song. Smoke went mega viral from Street Women Fighter 2 and HOT is just old lol. The way Bad has a choke hold on that country, and Tambourine is so random but likely went viral on socials too. XXL also went viral in Korea. Inter fans have a problem with the group for many reasons. I imagine you know the other songs lol. Literally the most random selection of songs to choose tho.

Mnet is OUT to get Yichen, which is wild since he is a Wakeone trainee. I think both Yichen and Yechan have very strong ideas of what they want the performance to be like and they’re both also pretty stubborn when it comes to their ideas so neither wants to budge. And being in a team of two isn’t helping because there isn’t other team members to mediate or weight ideas. Plus Yichen being naturally a yapper and already has a target on his back due to last missions edits, makes him seem selfish and only looking out for himself. I feel like if this situation played out with any other contestant, it wouldn’t have been perceived as negatively as Yichen is right now. Sure, he could’ve handled the situation better and been more attentive towards Yechan, but I don’t think Yechan was responding in the best way either, just ignoring him and thinking “Yichen isn’t a good rapper, as long as I do well, it’s fine”. Also, this is literally the first meeting where they’re looking over the song and bouncing ideas, disagreements are part of that process. I’m sure they’ll work it out in the end and pull off a fire stage. They have known each other since project 7, if either knew the other was going to be a problem to work with, I don’t think Yechan would’ve challenged the song and Yichen would’ve picked him. But I agree with you, I don’t think the that whole discussion was staged in any way like some people are claiming it to be, but I also don’t think it’s as serious as MNET is making it out to be.

A little fun fact but Lee Dongheon, (the soldier and the oldest) from VeriVery who was eliminated last ep, actually reacted to this ep with 2 other members and he talked a little bit about the show which was really interesting hear! He also said something along the lines that he felt a little disappointed that he got eliminated but was also a little relieved so he can rest/take a break :) Anyway, I'm really interested to see how the Vocal groups will do since they weren't shown this ep

Im really glad Leejeong sat down with Zhongxing and actually talked to him, not scolding him or complaining, but basically being like “Hey, what you did wasn’t cool, I’m not happy about it. If there’s something going on or bothering you, please let us know. If you don’t tell us, we can’t help you.” THATS LITERALLY WHAT IVE BEEN WANTING SOMEONE TO DO WITH ZHONGXING SINCE THE BEGINNING!!! I’m not an expert on this nor do I know these people personally, but this is my take on Zhongxing. I think he’s someone who has trouble trusting others so he bottles up his feelings and puts up this “Mr Sexy” persona to hide. There was talk going around that he was scammed by his previous company in to doing work like dancing in night clubs. Hence why he’s not good at taking critiques from mentors and doesn’t feel comfortable working with others. Again, I’m just guessing here. Because he’s came on to this show expecting to work towards debuting in Planet C working around other Chinese trainees only to suddenly get switch and now working towards Kpop and having to deal with a Korean market and audience, it probably felt like he was getting tricked again. But ultimately I think he does genuinely want to perform on stage which is why he didn’t actually leave the show. Anyways, I thought it was pretty awesome of Leejeong for noticing something was off and approaching the topic with Zhongxing in a way that it didn’t seem like he was interrogating or lecturing him. And despite the language barrier (also props to Zihao for being there to translate) he managed to get Zhongxing to open up a bit. And in the end, they pulled off an incredible stage. I personally don’t think Kpop or a group through this show is for Zhongxing but you have to admit, he is such a fascinating person to watch. I think the show would be a lot more boring without someone like him.

2:16:51 – “I hate to tell you, Zhong Zing ate this up” – THANK YOU, ADAM! In my opinion, Zhong Zing is such a fascinating character! He’s the type of person you either love or hate — there’s no middle ground. The producers are definitely trying to make him into a villain, but I think the real issue is just that he doesn’t naturally fit into the Korean system and its strict training style. To me, he’s absolutely a star. At first glance, maybe he doesn’t seem like an сommon K-pop idol, but honestly it all depends on his own desire — how much he wants it and is willing to adapt a little. But it has to be a natural process, not a forced one. And oh my god, the “Hot” performance was insane! I had so much fun watching it (sadly, he watched without translation of their lyrics) — I was both gagged and impressed! It felt so different from the usual polished K-pop stage: creative, funny, and actually memorable. But… I still don’t think Jun Lee Jeong deserved first place on that team. I just can’t understand how the audience came to that decision 🙈

Lee Jeong getting first place disappointed me because it shows what Yi Chen said to Ye Chan is true. Something like "We're not rappers, we're idols". Kpop doesn't care about rap. sigh. And Chung Sang Hyeon picking a vocal position because he doesn't think he could carry a rap song infuriated me. Mr. Wake One Hip Hop sir, you are a darn rapper. As someone who’s doesn’t have a lot of irl people to talk about this with I find its really nice to watch and feel like I’m having a good time with you both. I really feel like Yunseo is becoming one my top top picks, he’s so talented but what really take it for me is how funny he is, he’s so confident and the comments about mnet was hilarious! I have no clue why leejeong got the top amount of votes, imo it was clear that he was the least comfortable, tho I am glad zhongxin did get a bit more recognition. Hopefully boheng and zihao get more screen time in the future. Like jennie team was very good as well, although I wish Harry June got more focus. I don't think Plot Twist was the right choice for them, I find that huijun was just thinking about himself rather than the team.. for me personally the gag would be them performing Rising sun, they were the strongest team vocally and had the best dancers and they didn't take advantage from that and that costed them a lot ..the only positive side the umbrella storyline, but that also costed Bowen no moment to showcase his voice properly

I have this thing where if a survival show doesnt hook me within the first three episodes, I stop watching but I keep note of contestants I like so I can remember to tune into their debuts or look for them in the final group. I know for a fact I would have stopped watching after the first elimination if you guys weren't watching on here bc I find the format and all the editing schemes get in the way of a lot of the talent where I did not feel that as strongly for the first boys planet. I will say two things to my loving siblings Adam and RJ I know the fanbase for survival shows is tough. Trust me haha. I’ve been doing them since WIN: Who is Next (the show that made Winner) in 2013. Hell almost since 2007 for the show Hot Blood Men that made JYP’s 2PM and 2AM (but I was an hormonal teen at this time and it is a blur haha). There will always be impulsive tweens who say hurtful ignorant things because they’re emotional creatures who are still growing, who are in love with their favorites that it blinds them from simply thinking. Even my beloved Universe League live was rough. They always get mad at me when I bring it up, but the worst thing about Universe League was the hardcore portion of Team Rhythm’s fandom haha. So just realize, a lot of it is emotional young people who are still learning to think. 2nd and most personal to me, I’m a heterosexual male in his early 30s who has loved Kpop for about 20 years now. My best friends don’t watch these things, so y’all have been like my survival show buddies since Boys Planet haha. Seriously, with you two it’s like cracking open a beer and talking anime/sports/video games/comics with my buddies haha. I understand if y’all stop doing this but know that I will greatly miss y’all. No lie, you two are my favorite couple on YouTube. I appreciate the hustle and having people to nerd out with over these Kpop survival shows. I’m seeing zhongxing in a different light this ep… he somehow feels more human and I’m liking the vibe. yes he still want to get out of this show… but I think contract wise he can’t… and he literally could have been not put an effort on his performance but he knows how important this performance for some of his teammates that desperately wants to continue and move forward so you obviously see that he really did his best. idk yall…but yes it still feels that is arrogant somehow but it is not like in the previous mission that he doesn’t even care how his actions will reflect with the entire group… especially that he’s the only one who survived in his kill the romeo team. I’ve been doing these survival shows for way too long I’ve learned to ignore honestly I just say what I want and vote for my picks protecting my peace it’s worked out for me. I feel like the whole problem from this show stems from the fact that usually mnet has a formula and storyline that they obviously have to adjust slightly depending on minor changes but because of 1) the merge and 2) scandals (for geonwoo specifically as k killing part) everything fell apart. Plus the structuring doesn't allow for team focus just individuals that are being pushed which is frustrating. I feel like I know nothing about 80% of the trainees outside of performances so anything I see is hard to enjoy without context. Guys, I love you. Please don’t stop doing what you’re doing just because of some draining haters! I would be terribly sad… Be like Li Zihao and brush them off! Y’all are amazing, hilarious and wonderful people to watch every week for me! I’m separated from my friends and home rn, so this is literally my shining light each week. That being said, at the end of the day, if this is really such an unenjoyable experience for y’all, put your mental health first and maybe one day, you’ll come back to survival shows. Maybe you won’t, and that’s cool too. But as a huge fan, I would be so sad if you stopped. I never subscribe to anything Patreon, but here I am! I think K-pop survival shows are what you make them. I just watch the episode, observe the storylines Mnet presents, watch the stages, highlight my favorites and watch their extra content to see their talents outside of the show (like Jang Haneum! Omg, check out his King of Karaoke vids- you won’t be disappointed), vote daily, and then watch y’all’s commentary and that for me is good enough AND super fun as this medical program kicks my ass. Also, I think there are 2 reasons why Boys II Planet is has more negative energy than Boys Planet (for me): 1. The controversies with WakeOne and combining C Group and K Group seem more severe. They remind me of when the rigging scandals came out during Broduce (when I had to be gutted and find out that my vote meant nothing and that the X1 boys had to pay the price of greedy companies). 2. The comparisons between Boys Planet and Boys II Planet (which paint Boys II Planet in a significantly more negative light when in reality, all Msnake survival shows are trash as someone who has been live watching since Produce days) have made the Boys II Planet land so much more negative and grim, when it’s just business as usual. The big reason for the comparisons, I feel, is due to how much rose tinting we fans do. I did it for BP- comparing it to Produce and so on, so forth. We tend to look upon past memories with nostalgia-it’s a psychological coping and an adaptive survival mechanism haha Watching a SVS is its own kinda trauma lol But I think Boys II Planet isn’t objectively worst than Boys Planet (it’s still the same shenanigans from Msnake), because subjectively, I had a worse time watching Boys Planet than Boys II Planet, to the degree I didn’t know if I would come back to the world of BP until y’all posted your preshow pick video Yes, I liked that Boys Planet 1 was fruitier and that the Personality trainees hadn’t been gutted before we even had a chance to vote live, but I had a really tough time with the K vs. G Group concept originally and the G Groups obviously poor treatment. Whereas, going into Boys II Planet, I knew exactly what to expect from the treatment of K vs. C Group, so it didn’t bother me as much (just another day in Hell now). Frankly, every day was a depressing blood bath for me when watching Boys Planet, to the degree I stopped, and only came back because my friend and I were watching your commentary of the show. For one, I think the G Group trainees were actually more Evil Edited in BP1 (this time, the main perpetrators are Yichen and He Zhongxing; both of them have strong personalities and I think even if they were K Group, they’d probably still be Evil Edited. They’re just treated doubly bad because they are C Group). Ma Jinxiang, the Thai Boy whose name escapes me, Shuai Bo, Krystian? They even tried to throw Ricky under the bus, but his Yuehua PR training was too strong. Dang, that was bad. There were way more shows of the poor K Group trainee being harassed by the evil, blood sucking G Group trainee moments imo. This time around, they’ve opted to invisible edit all the C Group trainees. Which, is still horrible. Just a different kind of trauma ig haha Heck, I wasn’t even a Gyuvin Stan, but also the way Mnet kept evil editing him as a useless dozen was hilarious to me too. He was Korean, but he got the foreigner Yuehua treatment lol My favs were Jiwoong, Ricky, Hui, Jay, and Keita. Well, every week, I had to watch Jiwoong get paid dirt for story and Mnet only included him for our daily dose of hotness and abs/people saying he's only ranking well for being in a BL despite him always putting on a professional performance, Ricky was invisible edited/wearing his Gucci headband to avoid Evil Editing until Over the Moon and it was clear the entire time the Mnet didn’t want him, Hui was dragged for being too old and short, Keita for being too ugly and short, Jay for being ig ugly and a foreigner. And because he had that shitty rumor pre-show that caught too much fire too. All of that was really draining for me. I celebrated for Ricky and Jiwoong in the finale, but mourned for Hui, Jay, and Keita. It felt like all anyone cared about were visuals, as usual, getting rid of their best singers and rappers. So yeah, I look back at Boys Planet fondly NOW for giving Jiwoong a second chance, for Ricky flourishing like a rose in a concrete jungle, for Haobin existing and holding hands up to PO1 seat in the finale, for Matthew and Hanbin getting to debut together, for Gyuvin’s rap which showed me he wasn’t a dozen, for Gunwook- Hui’s son- getting to debut as he deserved despite the multiple evil edits, for my adorable little Canadian, Matthew, making it despite the hatred people lobbed his way for getting too much screen time. But I didn’t know ANY of those things would happen until the end. The road getting there was stressful af. It’s only NOW that I can see and be happy for what ZB1 is today. And maybe I’ll feel the same way about ZB2. But rn I’m just enjoying the journey, cheering for Yoonmin, He Xinlong, Leowon, Kim Junseo, Sun Hengyu, Chen Kaiwen, Jang Haneum, Nian Boheng, Li Zihao, Zhang Jiahao, Sen, Yoo Kangmin, Jo Gyeheon, Han Harry June, Zhou Anxin, Seowon Round 2, Yumeki, and He Zhongxing (yes, Mr. Sexy. I can’t believe he won me over…), and watching this show with you two! That’s all I wanted to say- if you made it to the end, congrats 🤣

I was really impressed during the LALALA leader selection when Xinlong said out loud that a vote would be biased in his favor, so they should just discuss instead. I feel like those dynamics are so tense and noticeable in all the survival shows with a lot of foreign participants (I'm having war flashbacks to Girls Planet), but the contestants rarely if ever point them out for what they are. Usually it's reserved for the talking heads. Xinlong saw a potentially unfair dynamic, politely pointed it out and circumvented it. And he was clearly right, because everyone was immediately on board with him being Killing Part so he definitely would have gotten Leader if they voted.

I am dying for a Mandarin speaker to weigh in on the discussion between Zhongxing and the producers. I feel like there was probably a lot to the tone of that conversation/wording that we can't get from the text on screen. Plus when he said that his attempt to leave would be edited out, my ears perked right up. Because it didn't seem like he was joking, it seemed like he was stating a fact. I immediately wondered if the crew TOLD him that, and if so, the fact that it is in the show anyway is deeply, deeply gross. I also find it very suspicious that they didn't include what production said to get him to stay, so I also wonder if he straight up....wasn't allowed to leave. I enjoy your reactions so much. They're really the only reason I'm watching B2P in real time. I usually prefer survival shows after they've ended or if they're less popular - less chance of seeing the discourse. Chuang Asia 2 and Be My Boyz were / have been really fun for me because I can avoid all outrage. And I'm finding I liked the format of both of those more. Good point! I think they wanna make SKZ 2.0 based on the song choices, and if RJ and Adam like SKZ music, they might be surprised by this group. I know they won't be bright flower boys, but I don't want to assume any direction for their music yet. I do think it's smart that they're going with a darker, masc concept to stand out from ZB1. Personally, I want to see a dark, mysterious EXO concept than something bright and fresh, as I already see that in AHOF, but I do think they're going for louder SKZ/Ateez/P1Harmony vibes. Also, I was more just discussing that I think B2P is not any more toxic than BP1/my bad experiences with BP1 to mirror their own with B2P to commiserate and show subjectivity, rather than how the guys felt about the group concept, but you make a great point about another factor on their experiences with the show besides the hate comments and toxicity they receive rn.

In all honesty ignore the comments. I enjoy watching the reactions. I am a fan and pay for patreon for the authentic reaction. These season of boys planet feel hard to watch because of the amount of boys the beginning and then the format change, it just feel complicated. The system is rigged for Koreans voters to be dominant versus global votes, so it will be another Korean group and we will see them in Kcon. Boys Planet 3 maybe they will stop the bullshit with K versus (global) concept and just focus on talented boys from their respective companies.

Not everyone is out to get your picks nor do you have to insult someone for their picks. At the end of the day, these survival shows are also here for entertainment, sometimes you just gotta enjoy what they show you and not take everything so seriously. This show and the people within it aren't changing the world or saving lives, neither are the viewers going to by watching or protesting the show. The kpop industry isnt' going to change because of boys planet. I've said this before and I'll say it again, you guys have shown time and time again to be a fun and entertaining aspect of Kpop fan content. Your commentary is hilarious but also insightful. You guys are also very open minded, not quick to jump on any rumor train and willing to give trainees/idols chances to prove or improve themselves. (Note: I'm an ABC so my mandarin isn't perfect) You can barely hear what is being said and it sounds like they cut out a lot of dialogue, which I wouldn't put it past Mnet to do and its easier since its being said behind closed doors. He kept saying things along the lines of " I can't perform further" and "I don't want to perform the next stage like this" and it sounds like the staff was saying they'd need to have a meeting if he wants to leave. that was basically the only thing we can hear from the staff. A lot more definitely happened in their discussion because he was gone for quite a long time. But ofcourse MNET won't show us that since they're allergic to showing us context. I personally don't think they can force someone to stay on the show if they don't want to. We've seen other trainees leave the show mid practice or after eliminations before for various reasons. But I also can see MNET wanting him to stay because he's interesting and an easy villian. I think if he wanted to leave, he would've when they were in between missions. My guess is, ultimately, he does want this opportunity to perform on stage but is frustrated by how no one seems to trust him and production is basically out to get him.

oh no i'm also enjoying the show!!! this is my seventh produce roller coaster, i find them all about the same in terms of enjoyment, even though they're all obviously different! I think for the musical direction they probably want something between Enhypen - Ateez - Stray Kids, but in the end who ends up in the group influences that. You can't put an Ateez concept on everyone lol.

I notice that you guys seem more burdened and more cautious about rubbing people the wrong way as we go through this season of Boys 2 Planet. This is absolutely 100% not shade or even criticism and I think it is also 100% valid considering the online environment. I'm just a little concerned about both of your mental health. I hope that to the extent that you can, you guys put boundaries in place to protect your peace, because it makes me sad to see you guys feel like you have to watch what you say and feel the exhausted having to explain yourselves to people who are hellbent on misunderstanding you. Maybe to the extent you can, hire someone part-time/hourly to moderate comments on certain platforms and report back to you more like trends/data and feedback so you can have eyes on the real time feedback without having to engage with it yourselves? You are right that this time around, commenters and generally the population of people discussing the show seem a lot meaner, and worse, with less media literacy and appetite for nuance. I myself have been less inclined to interact with TikTok, Twitter and Reddit content re: BP2 this time around, when during last season I enjoyed having discussions a lot. I'm not sure if it's because 1) there seem to be more scandals and controversies surrounding the contestants this season along with the bad transition between a 2-show to 1-show format; 2) as a few years have passed, those on internet spaces are getting younger relative to us and are therefore less 'mature' (early 90s babies rise up!); or 3) ZB1's popularity has expanded the viewership for this show + YOU GUYS are getting more popular and any time you are reaching more audience members, you're going to also get more of a vocal minority of unhinged fringe opinions. Maybe it's a mix of all of it. The show itself is fine. I think the producers are doing their best. I don't think I'm as invested as I was last season, but it's the fans that make the environment feel heavy. I think that any time you are making content that caters to fandoms who have religious zeal online (e.g. K-Pop fans, western pop fans, sports fans, etc.) you have to remember that a lot of the demographic is going to consist of teens lacking emotional regulation and the mentally ill. Those are the ones who get really intense with parasocial dynamics and can't have a logical discussion. Even though we don't know each other and my relationship with you guys in itself is parasocial, I love your content and you guys are the first creators I've ever even considered accessing content past a paywall for. I've been having a really tough couple of years and find your content fun and comforting. Again, to the extent that you can, mentally wall off the weird people and remember that you have also built community of people who DO understand you, can digest nuance and appreciate the thought and effort you've taken into your content creation. <3

I usually never leave comments in any platform, but i have to say i completely agree with this point. The main reason I watch and gladly pay for your reactions is precisely because you manage to translate kpop (usually a place in which dominates negativity and is full of very young fans with little to no media understanding) into entertaining content where older people like me ;) can spend some time off in a lighthearted way. It’s pretty exhausting having to deal with fandoms in general, so i come here to find a community who can appreciate a silly passion for what it is. I understand that negative comments make you feel like you have to somehow try to justify your opinions, but we all appreciate you for the way you’ve always expressed yourself and for your incredibile humor. I just hope the general online discourse doesn’t ruin this for you guys, let them be angry i guess🧡🧡🧡 love you (English is not my first language so i hope my thoughts came across)

I've had to try avoiding the constant online kpop discourse and comments cause they're a lot (it's been rough as a stay for the karma comeback for me). Majority of Zerose love ONE PACT (I, too, am a jongwoo fan but Tag's my bias in OP) and considering how close ONE PACT and ZB1 are with each other (And EVNNE. and Hui!) , hopefully you'll be able to check them out in the future. At the end of the day the loudest meanest people on the internet tend to not actually like the things they claim to like, and are just there to tear others down.

also I do want to say that it feels like the fanbase this go-round is way meaner and everything is five times worse thanks to how the climate of the internet is now, for sure. I do suggest just going at your own pace and never having to explain or apologize for anything, because people who will want to take a willingly ignorant dishonest interpretation of your opinions or words, will no matter what. This show as a whole is gettign close to Fantasy Boys levels for me but I do appreciate the little joys you can find and comment on here(and your insights, especially from a queer/asian perspective because that's SO rare) but I agree with the other comments, maybe it's good to take a break from ongoing survival shows after and then only go with previously/fully aired stuff like Wild Idol/Chuang Asia S2/The Hidden Character/MA1 if you wish to revisit svses in the future!

TW (child abuse/exploitation) . . . . Zhongxing was abused when he was in China. From the age of 15-20 he was forced to dance in bars/night clubs, oftentimes shirtless and doing sexual dances, by his boss who wouldn't let him leave. He would also drink alcohol and guests were allowed to touch him. So, his distrust of others, isolating behavior, anger, and self-consciousness is not surprising. His boss would threaten to blacklist him from nearby entertainment companies if he left, keeping him there for so long. After he eventually did leave (via lawsuit), he was blacklisted and received numerous death threats from people who thought he was ungrateful for going against the bar/company he was dancing at. The Mr. Sexy thing isn't just branding, it's projection. People are allowed to dislike him - that's fine, but please give him some sympathy. Seeing photos of him in his high school uniform surrounded by alcohol and adults is truly terrifying. No, this isn't made up - there are photos and years old posts floating around verifying all this. I genuinely hope he heals.

I have such mixed feelings about this show, because on one hand I enjoy it for what it is, but on the other hand some of the editing and narratives they’re trying to spin are infuriating to watch. Mnet is allergic to providing context (as someone else in this comment section so nicely put it), and that mixed with a lot of people who refuse to see any potential nuance to any issue watching the show, makes for a fandom experience that is extremely draining. I’m a big fan of curating my online experience, so thankfully my timeline now mostly consists of Hanwen being a cutie patootie and Seowon slaying the house down boots, but even then it’s difficult to completely avoid seeing some of the most diabolical opinions you’ve ever seen. It’s exhausting because I just want to enjoy watching the show and see extremely talented people do what they’re so good at, only to be slapped in the face with some utter nonsense everywhere I look that’s even slightly outside of a highly curated bubble.

I haven't enjoyed the season like I did the first time around and I think in part the "Alpha" theme Mnet has pushed throughout the season has a role in it because I can tell I will not be the target audience of the final group (though every season of produce/planet has been different and I can't expect everything to remain the same). A part of me is only continuing to watch it because of the two of you, I love your takes and comments in these videos. You two genuinely make me burst out laughing so many times when I watch these. Whether I agree or not, I love hearing your takes on the contestants and the production of the show!!!

Your experience this time around is actually a lot close to what I experienced during S1. I bet if you guys went back and watched it, it would become apparent that all the same issues plague that season. And the online discourse and nastiness was very much alive back then, so much so that there are still hate trains towards certain contestants by stans of other contestants. Mnet survival shows are very much built on the foundation of fanwars, because that's what drives the mass voting nonsence.

I watch B2P for pure entertainment becoz I don’t have any fixed pick. I just vote for whoever perform well on stage that week. All those dramas on the show and online among fans, I don’t really care. Like Yunseo, I know what Mnet is up to so I don’t really believe any of the trainees is a villain. People have many different dimensions, they react to situations & struggles differently. In this way, I simply wait for the stages every week and I don’t feel burdensome. I really love XXL and Hot stages, all the members have shown their personality through their stage. The audience engagement was good too. For Like Jennie, the beat was already so intense and the camera work was all over the place, it felt a bit messy to me. Sangwon has his own charisma but since the other 4 main dancer level trainees’ dance moves were so sharp, they captured my attention. Hyunjun and Chingyu nailed it and they deserve so much more. Harry created the choreography but Mnet didn’t show a damn thing.

I think it’s really unfair that Jun Min is receiving a lot of hate simply because Mnet chose to give him screentime and a story arc. The trainees themselves have no control over how much they are shown — that’s entirely up to the editors. Directing hate toward him only because other favorites didn’t get screentime misses the bigger issue. There are also many other trainees, such as Park Junil, Kang Woojin, Haneum, and Donggyu, who have been almost completely overlooked in the edit. If we want to talk about fairness. we should acknowledge that the problem lies in Mnet’s selective editing, not in the trainees who happen to be highlighted. Blaming Jun Min for something outside of his control doesn’t help anyone and only spreads unnecessary negativity. The real conversation should be about how editing manipulates viewer perception and disadvantages many trainees, not tearing down the ones who happen to be shown. Yunseo is such an allrounder vocal, dance and he can definitely rap too created a choreography while hes 2010 with Arctic whos born2008 they did great. So much respect to those two. Also.. Yunseo has a bright future I can definitely see that! Also love how Kany is supportive towards Jun Min she's definitely voting for him everyday xD but obviously can't say it, her favorite trainee is Jun Min <3 I added Jun Min in lineup now tbh. Its sad that Nian got low score he got the killing part + writing his own rap etc.. 😪 Also there was a new scandal around him which in few hours got proved wrong xD Mnet really try wanna keep Zhongxing in this program this guy showed that he doesnt want to be in there anymore.. he feels the pressure and just wanna be free from the evil editing he gets, but then he should have talked with that in the group instead of saying bye to them and leaving the room, unfair to to the rest of the team and I totally understand why Leejeong was angry at this point. Leejeong won by his visuals xD Nian is sadly two star... hope he still is in the TOP24 Mnet really wanna keep Masato in the lineup 😒 His rank didn't changed at all stayed in rank 8, like show us if he made to rank 7 or rank 9

1:00:33 late comment but I think the producers put in this second Stray Kids song so that Xinlong fans can see him perform a stray kids song. I don't think any past survival shows have had the same group in both rounds, but because xinlong didn't get the skz song previously, the producers probably swapped a different track with a skz track so he could get it this round. I agree that it wouldn't make sense for him to perform stray kids songs 3x in a row but I feel like it's mnet trying to get him to get his choice. But I also feel like mnet could have added a different "tough/hard" track (or maybe just kept the original) and not done 2 stray kids songs in a row to give it more variety. Xinlong has done "fresh" or what he sees as "young" concept songs his whole teenage career before his korean debut (in which they did tougher concepts like ZIP and Alpha). So I think he just wanted to show that he's "grown" and "cool" by doing the hard-hitting and tough type of songs.
