Ray does act like a protective friend, but my read from this episode is also that on some level Ray is in love with/into Mew, but thinks of himself as ruined and not good enough for someone as nice as Mew.

Everyone is so well-casted in this and I love how every couple has such a different chemistry. It could really be studied. This is actually my first (lol) firstkhao show and it's actually making me interested in checking out The Eclipse (I'm a forcebook stan, haha). the discussion about Force's voice cracked me up! His first role was so comedic that it really suited the character. But (like in abaab) during the more romantic scenes, he really did drop that voice XD I LOVE the comparison between Mew and Nick. I never thought about it, but they really are both so equally naive and yet, have wildly different approaches. Also, I like that Mew isn't a shy/awkward guy, which I feel like most BLs go for with an innocent character. He's actually really outspoken. No spoilers but.. oh, Nick. Bless his heart.

It's me again, the old dragon who'd never watched a BL before this. I've now watched every OnlyFriends episode at least once. So you should think about what you've gone and done there. Anyway, your reaction videos are the best thing on "TV" rn second only to Only Friends. I laughed so hard at "it’s a shame that the criterion collection doesn’t take fan submission" that my eyes started watering. Extremely pleased with this Patreon investment! Sidenote that is not directly related to the episode, and someone may well have told you this already, but did you know that Ray('s actor) sings the theme song? He is really a decent singer, a true Agust D, in let's say contrast to Sand who is actually supposed to be the singer on this show (his ass cannot play guitar either). I wouldn't have cast this in any way differently though, the casting is so good, the chemistry is fucking hog wild... I dare say a good sound engineer is the only thing standing in between this show and the criterion collection.

First and khaotung have such amazing chemistry... you should check out more of them off the show bc they're like ride or die for each other. Also the smoke kiss was actually khaotung's idea.

Yeah, I don't know if I'm seeking aspec representation with Mew or what, but that's the vibe. I genuinely with my whole heart just believed that people chose to hook up and sleep around just because, not knowing actual attraction and desire was there. I was very mislead on what a crush was until I was in my early 20s. I was like, "Oh, a crush is when you like someone's hair, or you might potentially think they'd be a good kisser, but OF COURSE YOU'D NEVER ACTUALLY KISS THEM." 🙃
