From what I read, Geonu's mom is an English teacher which is why he speaks it well? You both had the same reaction I did to the Kick It performance. And I LOVE these idols so it was especially hard for me. I didn't even finish the clip initially.. I genuinely don't know what they were thinking choosing that song : ( Everyone else was amazing! I shed a tear or two during the I Don't Love You perf <3

Minseo's underdog narrative was so perfectly set up. The Minseo standing alone, hoping someone would pick him and the Minseo going off in that black suit and holding his own opposite Bain. Two different people. I was gripping my couch, when he was going for the high note, so scared he would fail. I also loved the way he finished that high note and how he doubled over afterwards. Mini-Dex was my MVP this episode.

okay, thank you Adam I made the same face when I saw they were singing a BlackPink song. Like you guys have been saying this entire time this is a vocal competition and most of these kpop group songs are not for this show. Kick It was not it! Love the guys though.

I think Geonu is such a performer that he finds it hard to stand still and sing. He releases some of that energy through gestures, but to me his one big weakness is how tensely he holds his body. It makes him have to work harder to sing through a tensed throat and impacts the stability. I was waiting for one of the judges to point it out, which I guess they kind of did by advising him to be calm. He doesn't have the same weaknesses when he dances and sings together, when usually the dancing is what negatively impacts stability.

I don’t always agree with the judges but not only is this super subjective and up to ones personal preference, the judges are there in person! No filtering, editing, and they’re getting the full vibes of the whole performance and that just deserves consideration before people criticize everything. There’s a bit of a Jaehwan hate train going around and it’s so frustrating because I don’t want him to stop being honest at risk of his career, and he’s probably the least known amongst all of them 😭

You can turn BlackPink songs into vocal showcases (lots of groups have done it, A.C.E has done it at least twice!) but you have to do a lot of rearrangement work and fully change the genre of the song. Woong and Seokhwa's stage felt like just a traditional cover with nothing extra on top so the tempo just dragged and dragged. It's a shame because I know they have plenty of talent to share. Bain and Minseo though! Such a surprise, love how much character they brought to that performance.

Adam was me during Seokhwa and Jeon Woong's performance. I was especially mad about his performance because I know he can sing, and if he had actually done an RnB-like song rather than the crap they performed, I know it would have been amazing. This show was an opportunity to promote himself and the group, but instead he's picking dumb-ass songs as if he and WEi couldn't use the promotion. They're doing okay, (but not nearly as well as they could be), and Seokhwa just squandered this opportunity, smh.

I just realized that the top 3 scores so far are all idols/trainees (Wumuti x Hayoon - 697, Jay x Bitsaeon - 693, Bain x Minseo - 690), yet people thought the idols would for sure be out-sung by the non-idols on this show. People really need to put more respect on some of this idol vocalists. Not all of them are mid. Ironically, a lot of the best idol vocalists are in less popular/nugu groups.

I'm not done watching so y'all may have already sorted it out, but Seohyung is actually only about a week younger than Geonu, they were born in 2001. Juhee was the one that was compared to a 'church oppa' and is the youngest contestant on the show having been born in 2005.
