My new YouTube account.

Here is the link to the full monologue. I’ll also share all the versions I recorded today—the first ones were simply for practice. In fact, they are all practice recordings; I dream of recording it professionally soon.

I decided to upload it to YouTube for those of you who don’t speak Spanish. It’s a great option, since you can enable subtitles in the language of your choice.

Youtube good idea for CC translation

Par contre mon cœur je crois bien qu'on peut avoir les sous titres seulement en Espagnol 💙

Itziar - you are so moving and lovely in real life, face to face (though only an image). talking audibly - your sweet voice, your eyes; thank you enormously for coming on Utube. Your first commenter above seems to imply that got CC captions in English. How? is the question I may ask him if you're ok with it.

I found the movie online, and a comment that Anna's central monologue could be read on IMDB. i turned it into "Spanish" - google translate - and then tried to follow along with your captioned delivery in the first part of the video. "My" Spanish version tracked well about two-thirds of the way through, and then no resemblance - either IMDB or google or both Ithink screwed up, tho I can do that too. Every word you spoke felt like violet velvet.

never mind I found the CC options

Thank you Mark! I’m glad the YouTube subtitles make the monologue more accessible. It seems to be the easiest way for everyone to activate captions and choose their preferred language.

You are the best. I love that you went looking for Anna’s monologue and tried to follow it in Spanish… The fact that it held together for two-thirds of the way is already quite miraculous considering the strange path from IMDb to Google Translate and then to my own version. And “every word you spoke felt like violet velvet” is one of the most beautiful things. Blessings to you in your birth-day⭐️

Did you manage to find the caption options in the end? If not, you should be able to tap the CC button on the video, then open the settings/three dots, choose Captions, and select Auto-translate → English. I hope it works—although I’m afraid YouTube sometimes makes the option strangely difficult to find.
