I think these are the prettiest fashion monkeys on parade yet, even though their suits are on the conservative side.

Can I ask you something? Why do you think there are some dreams that just can't be fulfilled—and the more you try, the further away they seem to get?

Anthony L

I don't know.... by education and profession I was mostly a statistician. The only rote answer I know is, "look at the odds." But when you say they get further away... maybe that's maturing setting in intellectually. From what you tell me, I get it that coming very close and missing makes for much more regret. Darling, find somebody to really love. If you're going to do photography, try if possible to settle to it and include other subjects (preferably human. That's funny coming from me, the shyest Sicilian descendant who ever grew up in Brooklyn.) From everything I hear, modeling would be a grueling career.

O btw - I tried to become a songwriter in my early thirties as part of a rock band, The problem was not only that my songs were mediocre imitations of existing styles - every music outlet is filled with 95% exactly that - but also that making music is a corporate enterprise, leaving out a few very gifted singers who work incredibly hard to create material. The point being, the people in the band were not exactly brilliant.

Thank you so much for your beautiful and incredibly honest words. I always value your perspective so much. 'Look at the odds'—best advice ever! I guess, therefore, I don't have many odds in fashion... insufficient height, weight, and complexity, no contacts, no padrinos (godfathers) haha, and no propitious age. I guess I only have a pretty face... 'looking at the odds,' yeah, true, true, 1000 times yes... and the regret of coming close resonates deeply with me. However, I am moving towards human subjects, but in a very specific way! My true next objective, the dream I am working toward, is becoming an actress... I want to explore human emotions, stories, and connections on a whole different level...

Your story about your rock band and songwriting days in your thirties is great! Even if you feel the songs were imitations, I think it takes an immense amount of courage to step onto a stage and try to create art in a corporate world... Thank you for being such a wonderful, honest anchor of support and for sharing your Brooklyn-Sicilian wisdom with me. It means a lot to me.
